Imbued in vast ocean of grief,
as emotions dig deep ;
Heart pounces on my soul,
I bid adieu to a great dad ;
Tears scroll down in miffed sleep ...
Lunar tides go tranquil.

Curt

He was a good husband and father and his name was Curt.
When he died at the age of eighty-six, many people were hurt.
He did a good job of raising his kids, he was a great dad.
He died in February of 2016 and his death was very sad.
I went to school with his daughter who died nineteen years earlier.
Now they're both in Heaven and I know he's happy to be with her.
His death was painful and hard for his friends and family to stand.
I was only around him a few times but I could tell he was a good man.
It gives people comfort to know that he's in a better place.
He was so wonderful that he was a credit to the Human Race.

(Dedicated to Curt Brooks who died on February 4, 2016.)

He Who Wasnt

where was you when i was a baby or on the first day of school
where was you when i was bullied and treated like a fool

where was you when i was low and really needed you there
where was you to let me know how much you really did care

where was you to be part of my life and be a really great dad
where was you to tell me off whenever i made you mad

where was you on Christmas day all the family together
where was you to love me as your child as dads should do forever

but because your not here i am nothing to you
your a stranger to me and you neglected me to
maybe on day we will meet and you will be proud of me
a childs life you missed out on what will be will be

Son's Silent Love

When n we grew , We just never knew...
What we had in a dad just like you ...
Off to sea, .. Away you'd flee......
we just knew ,.... It was what you had
to do........

Lost months here , Lost months there...
We just never knew we had a dad like you ..
It wasn't your fault .. You missed so much ...

When you'd return, Then we'd know , we
Had a great dad like you ......
pale and thin,.. Sack on your back......
Arm's opened wide ... Pressies on your back..
Smelling so different , But then we knew ...
what it was like having a great dad like you ..

Now we've grown, ...Its time to show ......
What it's like having a great dad just like you ..

Your always there , ... When we need you most .
Dashing and Bashing , never stopping , Always in a
rush , never time to hush,.....
That’s what it's like having a Dad like you ...

Now Your our dad , And a granddad too ....
Its time to say, ....... Dad we love you ........
Slow down, relax Enjoy those special moment ,
Cause its great having a dad just like you ...

This is our way off showing how special you are ..
So we thank you today on your special day...
For all you have done , From your son's ............

Why I Wake Up

there's many days i wake up with no right answer to question that are shot my way
that includes the way i live and my life is going every which way
i decide to take a chance and this is what it left me an ex wife , two kids, and a
father that loves to hate me
i made it a goal to live up to standard and to live my goal
to make my kids happy some people just don't know
i maybe down right now but ill never be out because as long as my two gifts
walk into a room that's a sign of greatness i help create
so with my neck out on the line day in and day out
my only goal is to be a great dad to my sons
so just you remember the bills are always paid, the boys well fed, no holes
in their clothes or animals living in their hair
and when its time for you to come pick them up
they always remind me that they love their father and that why i always wake up
