Here we sit:
Fond love here,
Wears mellow wit,
Feels wonder cheer.

You and I:
Old lovers dear,
Calm joy sighs,
Feel light strokes here.

Sit a while:
Watch morning sun,
Dance bold style,
Feel fiery run.

Old age knows:
How fashions change,
Touch now shows,
New things seem strange.

You and I:
Such rustic feel,
Magic highs,
Breeze by goodwill.

By this bench:
Sit and hold hands,
Sun beams drench,
Love understands.

Widow's Tears

Tears were running down her face,
streaking make up once applied
carefully, to look her best;
beauty mattered til he died.

Fashions change but still she wears
mourning clothes: a dress of black;
veiled, she never looks at men;
dreams her husband's coming back.

When she dies I pray she finds,
after waiting all those years,
faithful love was not in vain:
recompense for lonely tears...

Ask for the best
Urge frames sure quest
Dream flavours fest

Aim for sweet smiles
Cakes baked with style
Ink tastes that pile

Opt for fond range
Use fashions change
Set sound sights strange

Charm spreads wide choice
Act with sure voice
Keep pulse and poise

Embrace fond treats
Reap joy you meet
Yes works the beat
