Gargoyles

Gargoyles
By Jeff Weiner

Gargoyles perched upon the ledge
Watching the city by day,
Flying as protectors at night
Seen in motion by few they say,

If you are chosen as one
The story goes not well,
Its said that only the evil
See their fate just before they dwell,

Some believe they are heros to the good
While others preach they are devils with wings,
I believe that they are Gods on earth
With the myth and faith each brings,

The next time you look up
And see this creature in the sky,
As it decends down upon you
There is no need to ask why,

This city will now be safe at night
Protected by my friends, The Gargoyles

Premium Member City of the Sky Gondola's

The city of Prague
In a different world
Its centre ripped
The whole world heard

Its now separated by
Canyons so deep
The day it happened
To hear a country weep

Beautiful buildings
Fell away
Architectural delights
Toppled on sway

But the city recovered
No bridges to be seen
Ingenious in genius
Sky Gondola's reign

To cross this great city
From north to south
Over the gaping rift
Above the canyons mouth

Gondola shaped
Zeppelin for lift
Tiller propeller
Propulsion shift

Sky taxis
In ariel flow
With their lanterns lit
Like glowworms glow

This sight i view
With my pal Jules Verne
Inspires his writes
As generations will learn

Glowing In the Shadows

The city seems
so unreal at night
     Shadows painted
on so many faces
Streetlights light up the
roads
     the asphalt
homeland
    a young man and woman
embrace each other
       against the darkness
          As the city
dwellers grow weary
       lights go dim
In their homes and apartments
      the night people wait
for dawn
        which signals the
end
    of their nocturnal
escapades

Middletown

Have you ever been to Middletown? You can only
go there in your dreams.
Elmer W. Hedgehog is the mayor. A fine
fellow is he, so honest for a mayor.
Puttum G. Racoon so colorful he
is for chief of police, such a tail he has.
Herman L. Rabbit, believe it or
not is the dog catcher, so fast is he.
Homer J. Fox, sly one is he
for the city D.A. seems to win all
of his cases.

       Everyone in Middletown seems
to be in the middle of something. All
the time.
It is located somewhere in the
middle of nowhere. The city hall is in
the middle of town.
Such a wonderful place is Middle town,
everyone there so carefree.

So tonight when you go to dream land,
please pay us a visit.

Can't find us, well just look in the
middle of your dream. You will find us
all there in the middle of town, waiting
for you to join us at the town meeting,
if we're in the middle of a meeting
that's ok, join right in,
      so see you,
       tonight.
