Fabula Poems | Examples

Acta est fabula, plaudite

What I sing from my chest
Only for ivory keys to hear.
Are the same old words
That cracked lips bear.
That familiar tune that calloused fingers play
Is the one that my own heart aches to say.

I have plucked and I have strummed
But when its my own heartstrings
That are plucked for the masses
Will my soul succumb or burn to ashes?

If a song is played for others to judge
Its worth is no longer for me alone.
My fears replayed as feedback
And my own tune I have outgrown.

When the keys have cracked
And guitar strings snapped;
Is the silence left a rest
Or is it forever prolonged?

I have played my part
And sang my chant
My ear worm finally laid to rest.
Yet a few notes linger in the air
Awaiting the song to begin again.

Snow White and Cinderella Humor Tale

They say that Snow White
fell out with Cinderella,
And with her she was clinging,
pulling her hair...
So said the maiden...
- She is as dry as a mango
in the mouth of a toothless gal.. !

A Fabula

This is a fabula in the time of twilight
The drops of rain were soaking me slight

She wanted to contact me but I was
Angry with her till the next sun alight

When I was going to contact her
She had spilled from our love flight

The only reason was I did not attend her
On the surface I seemed very polite

Now she has gone away from me
What I could share with heart blight

What will you say on Devine day Imran
You are only the killer of her delight

No Puedo Renunciar

Como renunciar a un amor
sin experimentar el dolor
acaso existe alguna formula
que combierta este dolor en una fabula

Como decirle a esa persona especial
disculpa pero mi corazón ya no siente igual
si antes te amaba ahora solo quiero tu amistad
