To the Leaders

As a Politician
to get re-elected
you want the world to love you
as a dictator

ruling your people
you want your country at peace
you can attempt to use force
you can create prisons

to locked up the people
that argue or fight against you
yet how much better
would it be

To rule a country that loved you
to rule a country that adored you
to rule a country that voted for you
that screamed to have you back

Use the methods
rich people use to create wealth
teach your people to invest together
making life easier for themselves

giving them extra income
allowing them to live life
out of debt
invest in building a world of fun

Walt disney invested in disneyland
creating joy for the world
your people could also invest
in creating disney lands

creating work for your people
takes children off the streets
reducing crime
making parents proud

Creating a system
where the people become investors
creates wealth for you country
taking you out of a depression

overcoming the budgets problems
as people become successful
their praise will come to you
their success builds your respect.

Poor Joe Is Disabled

Poor Joe Is Disabled

By Elton Camp

To hunt and fish are Joe’s delights
For his sporting spirit it delights

Hiking and camping he enjoys
And going to games with the boys

There’s no expense to get his pay
As it automatically comes his way

Even extra income he can make
If under the table he does take

He has an Uncle, rich as can be
To all of Joe’s needs he’ll see

Even medial insurance he’ll supply
That’s so hard for most to come by

For Joe is totally disabled, you see
His back hurts as bad as can be

He’s totally unable to do any work
As determined by a red tape clerk

Every month, Joe sneers
As his disability check clears

“Social Security’s not only when old and gray”
This is young Joe’s most favorite thing to say

All those dopes who keep on working
Their chains Joe really enjoys jerking

Premium Member They Were

We always found some magic in the little things in life
Never worrying about material things the way people do now
There was no extra income, barely making ends meet
But we always made it through the hard times somehow
Struggling was a way of life, not a reason to complain
Helping out your neighbor was just the way that things were done
Men worked in the mines, women worked in the home
Everyone was busy long after the setting sun
There were no governmental dependents waiting for a check
No entitlement minded robots like we have today
We were responsible for our own support
The world owed us nothing, we all paid our own way
They were better days just struggling to survive
We had a sense of purpose, thanking God we were alive
Sometimes I cry for yesterday when life was so very hard
Our lives may have been embattled but our wills were never scarred
We had little materialistically, without a spoon to stir
If you ask if they were harsher days, I’ll tell you yes, they were
We had love and understanding no matter what would occur
If you ask me if they were better days, I’ll tell you yes, they were.
