I never was a coffee drinker,
It wasn't really my thing.
I loved my garden tea, for my sweet sleep.
I enjoyed the sweet aroma in that "majani".
Coffee was never my option.
Then I met you.
Cheater of my sleep.
Introduced me to coffee kisses,
Like the tasty local Elgon coffee
Cappuccino caress, romantic aroma.
Needed a peck, then a cup
Now I can't do without my coffee cup.
My head resting on your bosom.
Trying to control my breathe.
I am taking in your sweet scent.
It doesn't feel the same.
Not like something I have known.
Am relaxed and chilled.
Feeling high on life.
My heart beats to your heartbeat.
In the comfort of your glare.
I can't help but feel at home.
Wrapped in the warmth
Of your sweet embrace.
It is impossible to feel alone.
When it's just us alone
The rapture of your coffee kisses,
Beats my heart with bliss,
Now when I see and think of getting naughty,
Coffee kisses are all that I miss.

I had a dream last night
a disturbing dream it was
I saw in clear vision something
Mountains of Kilimanjaro
Kenya, Elgon, Ruwenzori
and Atlas, Adamawa, all mountains
in the African continent
collapse into the Pacific Ocean
The living Dead tried to stop them
Militaries tried to stop them
Peoples of Africa tried to stop them
but the highlands went into the Ocean
without trace, with enough warning,
Seven hundred seventy seven years,
of slow but active disappearance
I inquired, “what about Drakensberg”?
“Listen. That one collapsed….!
a long time ago… in the Atlantic!”
And I woke up, but not in my bed!

It was a reality
To him he had seen ahead
He had lived it
So he was disturbed in the head
That one day i will the village
Headed to the city
And so,
Before I came to the city
He said the place was a vacuum cavity
It sucks you in and has no gravity
Floats you beautifully
He pointed the sky
I saw the beautiful scenery
Of the winter clouds
Floating and streamling
Scattered on a blue sky background
Sun sending rays
To the ground between the clouds
it was breathtaking
That was the city boy
That's how it is there.
So before I boarded the bus
He said, Grandson
Don't marry a city girl.
I met a village girl in the City
Do your remember the valleys
Those touched the sky
With trees far in Elgon
Those that connected earth to heaven?
That's her beauty
Natural and connected to her heart
The sky is on our feet now
We are Moving with the stars
Sipping honey on the moon.
I married in the city
