Mrs. Crane and Mrs. Finch,
meet at the corner store,
where they like to gossip,
before their shopping chore,
and on this occasion,
Mrs. Finch to Mrs. Crane,
mused about her neighbour,
who’s driving her insane.
‘Dulcie has a bad mouth,
about her husband Jack.
She always puts him down,
always behind his back.
I think she is so rude,
just take a look at me,
my Fred is fat and lazy,
and he might be cheap.
He snores for half the night,
and so I cannot sleep,
and when he’s on the grog,
he smells like he is dead,
but you won’t hear me say,
a bad word about Fred.’
