Praising TREE Reaching GOD BRANCHES SPREAD FORTH PRAISING the LORD
i'm a tree rooted
once a seed planted in ground
growing forth branches
each leaf disciple
standing next to Christ Jesus
acknowledging Him –
trunk energies brings
a closeness from our within
roots soil deep grounded –
i'm a rooted tree
once a seed planted in ground
growing forth branches
praising tree reaching
God branches spread forth praising
each leaf discipled

My Blood
Splendid soldier you
I'm merely your descendant
barely fit to footstep follow
I'm discipled , My kindred hero
Foreign soils desperately dank
Churchillian's major tactical outflank
Death by bulleted blight
Bastard German bight
Evil eradication in Holland's nether land
Liberation free , Guaranteed
Twas his life he gave
Home to a war hero's grave
Death knell to heroic soldier blue
And maybe I'm a tad bitter 'tis true
My Blood lost his life to a gameplan
After all what's a medal without the man

AMALGAMATION OF THE RICH AND POOR
Who was this poorly dressed in nails and thorns?
Who was this richly wrapped in aloe and myrrh?
Secretly, Joseph of Arimathea, discipled by Him,
and Nicodemus in the dark of night, questioned Him.
These two, who must have believed, even loved
the condemned, cursed, crucified — together
they touch...selah...the dead body...selah...wrap
Him with linen cloth (perhaps the cloth had covered
a scroll of the law) The riches of this burial...of the poor
...selah...seventy five pounds of spices...important men
...humble and gentle. They laid Him in a tomb cut for
the rich, for a king perhaps. They honored the sign…
Here lies the King of the Jews. Whose body wrapped
with strips and spice, left on a cold, dark ledge...JESUS
But…not for long...selah

Simon Peter was a fisherman
who met Jesus one day
he was not the same man again
from then he walked the savour’s way
Although Peter failed many times
Jesus still loved him much
even after his denying of the Lord
he again received the divine touch
There’s a very important lesson
for all of us to heed
Jesus great love for Peter
and for us is true indeed
In the day of Pentecost
Peter preached God’s word
which brought spiritual life to many
that the world would think absurd
We all must also thank Peter
for he gave us his two letters
from which we receive much good instruction
so we can be discipled better
Peter became one of the apostles
indeed Jesus chose him for that role
as our savour also chose our pathway
so to glorify Him would be our goal
So what’s Peter’s legacy to us?
as one who clearly loved his Lord
it must be to trust and obey
and walk humbly with our God
