Dingdong Poems | Examples

Wish, the words were not so short

I wonder why these words are short
When they should have been rather long,
That, we have fair time to abort.

Fine, we’re not in judicial court,
Nor are scared of the judge’s gong,
Wonder still why the words are short.

There are those caught as if in fort
And feel, an abrupt ‘no’ is wrong,
Wish, they’d enough time to abort,

And say no in a polite sort
Of way that sounds a sweet dingdong,
I wonder why yes too is short.

None of the two should be so curt
And should be said like a sweet song
That gives enough time to abort.

To say them well’s a rare fine art
T’be cultivated all along,
I wonder why these words are short,
We need enough time to abort.

Villanelle |02.10.2024|word, yes, no

Poet’s note: We often find it so difficult to say no, we are forced to say yes under pressure. Why? Perhaps both ‘yes’ and’ no’ as words are so short, they do not give us enough time to think. This Villanelle is born from this lack of comfort.

To reach to thy heart
I wrote poems all my life.
Too late on my part
When I knew in utter strife,
The roadblocks were far too rife.

I was going to write a sonnet...
But the words I speld were rawng

So instead I wrote a haiku
But my syllables were too long

So I decided to write a lyric...
And sing myself a song

But I forgot the words while singing it
So I ended it...dingdong

Is It Crazy

Is it Crazy
By Joeysguy
Sounds in my house that I hear
I relate some to my wife being here

I have pictures all around the house
Everywhere pictures of my spouse

I think of my wife still being here
Like saying I’m sorry or excuse me dear

So much is different in my life
I lost the normal when losing my wife

I’ll sit and pound my heels on the floor
Sometimes till a foot is sore

Sometimes I’ll take a drink
It helps me to relax and think

Thinking about everything I had
My life feels hopeless and sad

Some nights I think when I go to bed
Will I wake in the morning or will I be dead

As crazy as it may seem
Sometimes I may let out a scream

When leaving home I say, see you later to my souse
I’ll say I’m home when I enter the house

I know some things are crazy that I do
I don’t want to write it and tell you

This poem could be very long
Then people would know I’m really a dingdong

Dragger

Insert deep into my heart
Let the blood clot inside
This knife is meant for that
It is a gift from my sweetheart

When I was with her
She screwed me with beautiful words
Now before leaving me alone
She presented me this dingdong

I have hung it since then
Unable to take it away, instantaneously
The last footprints on my heart
Has left an image so dark

This blood keeps reminding me of her
Better if someone with broken heart insert
This dagger deep and deeper
So that he will be happy and I will live forever.

Hair Styles 'You'Ve Got To Be Kidding'

Poodle... A puff on the left
                      A puff on the right
                      And always dyed white

The Nest... Teased like a stampede
                      That's been unleashed
The look of an endangered beast

Shaved Art... Some with faces, some with decorations
Are they going forward or behind
                      I hope they are supervised

Mohawk... Oh my what a shock
Some are four feet high and unbending
If you don't duck you'll be crying

Half Of Hair... One side bald the other side long
                       What a dingdong
                       It's just all wrong

So this is my opinion, sorry if I offend you!
