Am I at all responsible,
for what occurs outside myself
Is it at all defensible,
to ignore those feelings dealt
Is my world then co-dependent,
on what happens somewhere else
Are the answers free to self-sustain,
or conjoined—by others felt

In as much as it’s defensible,
Like a boot stamp on the innocent,
The uncompromising all,
Pernicious awareness of mortality.

Retirement and the remote control,
This sounds like a whinge in an ode,
Retired men and remote controls,
Includes, "Who gave old men phones?"
Is this what 'golden years' meant?
Defensible violence to retired men?
You'll be getting good manners for tea,
And not much more from me!
Don't you turn T-Rex on me!
I want a turn on that remote control, please,
You've turned into a sook and a toad,
My 'golden years' whinge in an ode!

THE BRIDAL SOJOURN
Like an American spy I have always been looking around
Wandering around the downtown
Not because of my lost goat
Nor because of my missing boat
But obviously I am the to-be groom
Who has been left in the gloom
I have built a house with big rooms
This has been a lone boon
That I got from my age-long boom
As a to-be groom
I have searched all the pages in the books
And checked all cranny and nooks
In search of the damsel
That would make my relatives dance well
Though I have not been assured
That her love would get me insured
Against adultery and lusty effrontery
But I believe in fluke
That is why I won’t give up to a crook
And rather challenge her with a hook
I saw this template on Google
And this really makes me giggle
Father didn’t stop to niggle
But I let them realize I’m nimble
To find my ravishing bride
That has a picturesque dimple
That is devoid of pimple
And make me forget that I was single
Even if I can still mingle
With ladies that are ostensible
I know her thinking is plausible
And her reasons are tangible
To let them realize we are compatible
Because our union is defensible

In a world decayed by tyrants and greed,
Serving the human for the human mans creed.
Separation and conflict, the terms we now know
Where once The Last Bastion “Hope” used to grow
Defensible positions push further the lines
Where once the Hearth kept us warm through the times
The surety of plenty now fallowed with salt
Our Promised Land lays dormant, brought to a halt
Successor and Succor were once the lands governed
Brought low by obsession, greed is now covered
By laws and amendments they do what they will
Never giving care to the blood that they spill
A spearheaded tactic, to punch through the lies
Conviction and reason, the common ones cries
To once again see a world of solace and care
To take away hatred, and an end to despair
So with this, The Last Bastion “Hope” you can see
The salt lifted from a land that was once diseased
And never more daunted by an endless abyss
With “Hope” Comes “Love” and in the end … is “Bliss”
