Deducing Poems | Examples

Just a Voice

Gridlock on I-75, it's raining heavy. Up ahead somewhere
a truck has jackknifed. We are down to one lane and not moving.

I switch off the engine and wipers watching the world
dissolve inside a waterfall. I'm not alone, there's a voice in the backseat;
only a deep male voice.

"Man I'm tired of travelling this same stretch of highway" It said clearly.

I stiffened; a cold sweat chilling my mind.

"When did it happen" I said, deducing the perhaps obvious.

"Time don't work the same around here," he replied. I'm in a repeating cycle
and I’ve been stuck here watching it all happening again".

I heard myself saying: "by 'it' I assume you’re watching your death?"

"It's time for me to move on, it said quickly, “traffics moving now,
horns are blasting and there's an oncoming 18 wheeler
hydroplaning behind you -
                                        and you're not watching!”

Premium MemberLike the Sun, the Moon and the Stars

I assumed you would always be there
like the sun and the moon and the stars
Deducing that we were like resin and glue
always adhesive as two

I imagined a life together as one
forging metal, releasing the fire
into the furnace of love we would go
how was I to know

That a star is none else but a fixed point of light
and the sun is a gleam, of radiant confusion
that the moon is none else but reflective sparks,
I presumed we'd be together forever

like the sun and the moon and the stars,
like the sun and the moon and the stars.

12 Flags

12 pillars.
2 fates
1 decision

Exempted actions, by masking the past with elegant words, preplanned manned with extraordinary deviance. But I’m the only immortal that has to deal with previous:

“issues”
of
“issues” caused by the other fate. The worst fate? The right? This is where the road forks. Do you risk it? Is it worth it? What merit has been given to be given a chance.

But that’s the answer: chance.

Do you chance it on fate? Or hate the outcome after the decision.

Premonitions leading to self doubt and questioning.

Deducing outcomes

But there’s only one… right?

12 flags, all red and white.

Surrendering up old habits or signs of repetition?

The colors are mixed well.

In completion

Completing what exactly?

Dimensions

In diversities do we find varieties
Proving the infinity of The Creator.
For us these are but differences
To raise the sword to kill and claim.
Unwise not to know truth of our lives
Every crooked line is straight in parts.

As clock marks every tick in time
Every atom has moved as per a law
But our minds ignorant to fathom
But adamant on our derived faith.

We live in utter bias and are blind.
while we have the winter wind
summer is forgotten in the mind
and again when the summer comes
we say the worst summer in years
and yet again those winter days
summer is forgotten by the mass.
We live on by this pattern that suits
Deducing wishes from our dreams
But wishes do fail at times and fall
By our own unconvinced will to gain.

In this lone journey of imperfection-
towards the perfection we dream
we have the Nirvana of Buddha
we placed the creation in Brahma
we found the oneness in Allah
The fulfillment of love in Jesus.
one truth in so many ways to suit
yet we kill to hoist our own flags
Ignorant their colour is the same
The colour of the life giving blood
The colour of love, uniting us all.

Premium MemberIn the Starlight Evading

In the starlight evading,
On the crease of decision,
The New fallen justice,
Lay dormant and yet...
All potters and priests,
Suckle tragic enigmae,
And wait in the aisle,
For alchemist treats.

In the starlight evading,
From the genuine flesh
These potters and priests
view the science of fear.
Pasting and painting
Faces of nakedness,
These priests and these potters
Undu their veneer.

In the starlight evading,
Working backwards from winning,
Some potters, one priest
Panspermiate change.
Unlocking, deducing
This potter and priest,
Set sights and maimed reason
To round out their virtue

Yet starlight evading
In gracious reduction,
Leaves na'ry a glimpse
Of the joust in the night,
Betwixt and between
Potters and priests
Divinate magic and tally
The sins of today.

Rhapsody of Love

adducing of love
                                    deducing with strong logic
                                          difficult to prove

                                     gesture of heart speaks
                                real language eyes smile flashes
                                          rhapsody of love

Storming Moments

Your name is Sandy
The say you are so strong
But no sweet like a candy
Or deducing like a love song…

    Like your twin sister Irene,
You are rapidly coming our way
    With a devastating strength
And you send your ferocious wind
    To let us all know
That you will be here soon!

Mean girl, for you we are ready
To fight you to the end!
    Trains and buses suspended,
    Schools and public places closed
    While streets are deserted
    Foods, water and medicine
storage
    Waiting to be used
    In this approaching moment of
truth!

    Mandatory evacuation enforced,
    Firefighters, police and
ambulances
    Are ready for action when
needed!
    Now, together we all pray
That the Lord spares this great
city
From the grasp of this mean girl
    Named Sandy
We ask the whole World to pray
    For the brothers and sisters
In the other side of the globe!
    Amen!
