Every year on 5th July we celebrate Tynwald Day
Proclaiming our new laws in an open air sitting of our Parliament
Eleven O’clock is when the church ceremony begins then the
Norse tradition of promulgating the laws takes place on Tynwald Hill
Deemster’s participate in the ceremony, wearing scarlet robes and long wigs
Elizabeth our Queen last attended the ceremony in 2003
National anthem ‘O land of our Birth’ is sung with such pride
Cushag the national flower is worn on this special day
Evening ends with a spectacular firework display, which fills the skies
