                              land
                   inland, cultivable
           leasing, foraging, entailing
terrestrial, terra firma, oceanic, offshore
             boating, ferrying, sailing
                  acquatic, nautical
                              sea

Farmers To Not Forget Snakes

Planters who have to toil
To have some food boil
And the Digestive oil
Start with 500 AM Soil,
The Morning’s Freshness their strength;
The surest way to take it to a length.

Farmers should early toil
In a cultivable soil
But not forget snakes that goals spoil
And The Carefully Planned foil
By simply sliding in to coil.

Snake could deal with a planter,
In his farm at a canter,
His blood stream promptly poison
Without so much as this noising.

Colonial Master

Colonial master:
A lot was doing faster
Many stubborn chains able to loosen
Like the vessels whom Christ had chosen.

Colonial master:
Hatefully fought by Rasta
But they were also safeguarding Jamaican rights,
Which sometimes would their sanctity lose
In the darkness of tragic nights
At the hands of The Conquered by booze.

This Great Master though was a great slave
To every African cultivable soil
And ready to hysterically rave,
If we twice looked in the direction of our own crude oil
Ever willing to perish wherever it was in huge deposits:
An assertion of blacks and white being irreversible opposites

More than fifty years now he our bridges built,
Whose survival lengthen our Engineers’ guilt
For having worn the same bowler hats
And chances had to use the same enormous CATS
Beside daring to look as much decisive
In the rarest of bow ties, very massive!

The Stomach/Depths of the Eye, Translation of Pierre Emmanuel’s Le ventre de l’œil by T. Wignesan

Neither hither nor thither nor space nor time neither
         height nor depth
Nothing
Nothing without recoiling fold nothing unheard of
primordial Ahan* in a static state
Abyss resounding in silence Where without echo Alpha’s
         latent in Omega

Where ?

Where the open mouth’s stuffed without roof a hole
Without walls nor borders nor substance a gaping hole
Identity without Self no Eye without pupil
Immense Void un-divided neither All nor One
Wind which knows not itself breath not having yet been
          born
The Self constricted upon (it)self its entrails spiraling
Blindness of space in no way palpable

* Ahan: no one-to-one equivalent in English; etymologically an ancient French word with several connotations, such as, labour; unbearable pain; cultivable land; harvest, etc. Here, the possible usage could be the intense energy deployed to engender the contrary of a state of nothingness.

(from Anthologie poétique, p. 32; Sophia, O.C. t. II, p. 195)
