When I write I write in tens
Ten poems per session
Some are insanely silly
Weirdly enough, understood by many
Sometimes commenters write me ten sentences
With suggestions
When I have only written a two-line missive

When I first came here,
I felt warm and loved, like soft butter.
Years have passed, and those blooming
days were like no other!
You all helped me discover my poetic voice,
And to pen daily in gratitude to you, is now a most happy choice!

When I am dissatisfied with someone or something
I look within and know I am really dissatisfied with me.
I need a new hobby, a new friend, a new job, a new something
So I begin to go to work
One day when I was dissatisfied I thought “What about poetry?”
I had written a poem six or seven years before.
One poem. Not two, just one.
I have no idea why I stopped there.
So I found a poetry site and I began to write poems.
Now when I look back at those first “poems” I laugh.
They were not poems at all, but really short stories.
The commenters were generous and kind to me though.
Now I have over seven thousand poems, and I love writing poetry.
All because I was dissatisfied on a Thursday during parent-teacher conference
When I had nothing to do for eight hours, because….
No one wants to see the counselor. No one.

Good ‘n Wild with Bad ‘n Tame went awondering
On whimsical wings spinning together a tornado
Only exhaustion rested their reality of much ado
Don’t debated do, as wildly a passion conquered…
‘Never take on the wild for it leaves all forsaken’
When good looked at bad, bad saw, as it knew
Into a tame, fierce winds air-force-filled alveoli
Lust inhaled, filling balloons, lifting up to aerial
Depleted heights, gave a bird’s eye, ‘n taunted…
“Does good turn bad or does the wild get tamed?
Death’s by slow suffocation or resounding crash!”

PS - To my readers and fave commenters – I’m off for four months (maxing the visa) tomorrow to go visit with my elderly father and give my younger sister a bit of a break from worrying about him. I may get some connection to the www every now and then but not guaranteed. Hope to be back with more to write and to catch on yours...read and talk with you again at the end of May :)

My Poetry Birthday...1/24/2019
Today is..................1/24/2020
I never once dreamt, that in one year, I would have
written 1,070 poems.
And no, they are not one-liners, heaven forbid!
I only had one comment to that first shoddy poem
I wrote.
Good grief, I had no idea what I was doing.
What a poetic dope!
Then, I had zero commenters until
May, 2019?
I wonder at all, why I even stayed!
Another person jumped in that May and
was very supportive!
She puts action into where her poetic heart is.
My life has changed in this year for the better.
(Thanks to each of you here who commented
and to those who never will.)
Both positive and few comments add to further
my intent to do far better with my quill.
I am quite far from popular here!
But those that read me, please know, I hold you
especially most dear.
So thanks to all of you, for the exceptional
examples you set.
Your fine poetry inspires me,to be most grateful
and content!
You have made 2019 a most productive and happy
year!
So to all of you, may God bless you and I say,
three cheers.
Gratefully,
Panagiota Romios

How to Get Poetic Blues
We poets look in our mirrors
admiring our backs!
Yet feel so badly when it's
comments we lack!
Who knows why people do not
comment or few?
I can't understand it and
anyway, what's it to you?
Be the giver, not striving to be
the one who gets.
You can write! You are a poet.
Don't down yourself...by lack of
comments get beset.
I know perfectly what a gigantic
downer this is!
I get my poetic head all knotted
up in a fizz.
I get these terrible moments to
wanting to quit.
Let others comment where they
choose.
If not, you will suffer a bad case,
of lack of commenters blues!

Peek Ka Boo Me
My wife and I were doing our thing
that thing we liked most to do.
Its a game we play with the parents say
we simply drop a quarter.
Getting the nod from her parent beside
I dropped the quarter to make the sound.
"Lost and found" we cry to the child
waiting to see the reaction.
A childs delight with parent in sight
I walked around the corner.
I listened for the sound
of that quarter found.
To my surprize that child we found
peeko booed me!
Unexpected at least my heart almost ceased
my Heart swelling like yeast.
Its hard to decribe that feeling.
