In my lifetime,
I have observed and
witnessed some evil things.
Many were news reports, but
some were eye-witness melees.
One notable travesty was the
implementation of 'A Clearing'.
It was called ethnic cleansing,
but there was absolutely nothing
cleansing about slaughterous murder.
Like so much garbage, being cleared
from our living quarters; one people
claiming to be purer than another.
How despicable of us mortals created
in the image of an awesome and loving God
who through His son said, "There is none good;
no, not one". Clear the air we breathe of poisonous
toxins if you will. Clear the rivers and waterways
of debris and waste. But be very clear about this:
There are multitudes of undesirable things and myriads
of non-mortal despicables in need of mass clearings.
But the clearing out of people by any means deemed
less than another is not one of them. Ethnic cleansing
is mass suicide. Let us love, cherish, and care for one
another and leave human clearings and cleansings to God.

Kansas I stand before you open hearted, ready to receive you after a spring rain. I have always held such deep nostalgia for your beauty and calm, after such cleansings.
As I exhale I open my nose, and smell your rich metallic earth embracing the nourishment from the heavens.
I open my ears and am comforted by the receding calls of a rumbling thunderstorm, I am moved by the lonely call of a distant owl, the exuberant orchestra of finches, the determined squawk of a redtail hawk on it hunt, and the gentle croaking of a frog, calling for it's lover.
I open my eyes and am greeted by a rabbit feeding on dew covered grasses, a golden finch bathing in placid waters, and a cardinal plowing its beak through grass and dirt for worms.
And I open my heart and see the world as an interconnected oneness, each system nourishing another.
I inhale and envision the lifeforce of all the plants around me drawing in the nourishment from the passing rain, and the warmth of the sun, and I fall in love with the world and all that it holds. And in this moment you cleanse my soul, and I am grateful.

A time for atonement is finally here,
where Jews become reflective about
their lives,
wondering if they have been too critical
or permissive with lies,
Forgiveness and a change of heart come into play,
Purging, and cleansings help to ensure better days,
The awareness to atone is huge and monumental,
wiping the slates clean from being harsh ad judgemental,
The mind becomes free from all its prejudices and unfair assumptions,
A day of atonement allows spirits their own liberations and ascensions.
