An Army Subedar*, he's won many awards.
*Subedar - a mid-level junior commissioned officer.
Carved a niche in history with his javelin throw
Neeraj Chopra, the Indian with golden glow
He speared it in his first attempt, cool and composed
The next was ev’n better, he triumphed unopposed.

A TRIBUTE TO MY TEACHERS
I love and respect my teachers for their guidance,
As they gave me knowledge in abundance.
Whenever I was surrounded by darkness,
They filled my path with brightness.
To make me reach greater height,
They enlightened me with all their might.
Nurturing with endless love, care and affection,
I was made to move ahead with motivation.
Today in my life, I have the access,
To be a teacher and this is a grand success.
I hereby pay my due respect,
And salute all my teachers from every aspect.
So, on this special day of the year,
For them all I am here,
To wish them a HAPPY TEACHERS’ DAY,
In my own very special way.

Depict each page wise truth that swirls,
Etch mystic chimes in words that flow;
Explore the way in simple terms,
Plant and sculpt hope in ideas known;
Align fine stay with poignant germs,
Keep ample scope in purpose grown.
Charm with each book a passion bold,
Hurl in sure ease a joyous soul;
Opt brilliant nooks with profound hold,
Ply sense of peace in spirits whole;
Realise in truth the path of light,
Align bright proof with grand insight.

Sketch a character
Humble heart, compassion in his each cell,
My inspiration, my mentor taught me so well,
Honour for life is the twinkle of his eyes,
Will not let even poor suffer at any price,
Dr. Bhimsen Chopra his good name,
Hard work and honesty, earned peak fame,
Kindness as if runs in his blood,
Love for all that flows, is enough to flood,
Workaholic always seen with patients around,
Zeal to serve sick, is so profound,
Effortlessly turns distress to succour,
Humour, wit and brilliance his valour,
Many owe to him, hopeless survived,
A gem keeping today's humanity alive !

She's a woman of mystery
with a deep seated soul
You may try to understand her,
but you'll never know
She likes Deepok Chopra
and girls' night out
She may get angry, but
she'll never pout
She'll show you she's witty, honest,
funny and fun
But, try to pin her down and
like a cougar, she'll run
A corporate gal now helping
others find employment
She listens to music for centering
rather than enjoyment
She keeps her heart in the closet
where it's safe and secure
It'll peep out for a moment
but not for long be sure
She's strong both in mind
and spirit
She’ll admit she’s fragile, but
you’ll never hear it.
She’s loving in her strength, but
you may not see it
She’s kind in nature but
may never free it
Rational and sensible is what
she displays to the world
Her true emotions are hidden as
they’re twisted and twirled
She’s running from something,
but she’ll never tell
She’ll convince you she’s happy
when she feels like hell
She’s my friend, I like her,
but I’ll never know
