You Never Told Him Nothing

He's a shotgun
a steak dinner
and a bag of breaded shrimp in a
Brown paper bag soaked in hot sauce.

you shook the Brown paper bag
but you never shook him.

He stole and he loved it...
                                        robbed freight trains
                                        killed four men

One night in the State of Florida they found him passed out
in his car on the beach with three women and a bag of cocaine.

he drove a car that only went in reverse

At home he choked his wife with a phone cord and pointed a shot gun at his five year old son.

when he died and they buried him not one person left,Why?

they all wanted to make sure he was buried,
because a man like this never goes quiet even if he is dead.

The Mind of An Eleven Year Old Boy

Mom, today we studied simile
   What is simile?
A sentence that uses like or as to compare two things

Like a green car riding on the road is like a running vine?

Or A red car riding on the road is like a running red rose?

Yeah mom just like that!! woohoo!

"waking Up In Pain"

I lay on this surface with my eyes closed tight..
My body feels frozen but outside my eyes it's bright..
I can't move my legs and my arms are so cold..
A blanket up to my neck which I'm not able to unfold..
Beeping sounds all around my head, faint voices but
I can't hear what's said..
Every part of me feels restrained, but where I am is
closed and well contained..
My eyes start to flicker as this scene opens a little
clearer..
My Mom and Dad standing over me with dried tears
once filled with fear..
I was in a car crash and broke my leg, and a
line of stitches placed across head..
This hospital room will be my home for awhile,
while pain sets in as my tears hit the floor tiles..
A year of therapy to learn to walk, and some scars which
cause much talk..
Now years have passed since my car hit that pole,
which I pass every day but now it's only a story to
be told...
