Breanna, Breanna got read her Miranda,
that cheeky wee gas station clerk.
She’s not putting up with the woke propaganda
of not apprehending the perps.
When he broke a jar of some spicy hot salsa,
she knew that it was time for work.
So she grabbed her handgun, yelled, “Not in my casa!”
and put two rounds into that jerk.

----------

Loosely based on a story in today's news about a gas station clerk named Breanna Miranda, who shot a man after they got in a verbal altercation and he threw a jar of salsa to the ground.

Mi Casa Cae De La Misma Manera

Me mostraste tal momento,
Lo que no puedo olvidar
Esos ojos a ojos hablan ...
Incluso hoy me asusto.

He decorado esos recuerdos,
Con quien nos conocimos ...
A veces vienes a casa conmigo
¡Hacemos algunas cosas de nuevo ...!

  ¿Alguna vez te has perdido ???
el sueño que mostraste
Comimos mucho

A veces vienes a casa conmigo

A veces vienes a casa conmigo
Hacemos algunas cosas de nuevo.

Premium MemberCasa Angelina On Amalfi Coastline

fruity lemon fragrance wafts in this afternoon
tantalizing me are additional smells of homemade bread
Chef Luigi’s homemade Italian spaghetti sauce.
Real Italian, not the fake stuff.

my mouth waters; I wonder how soon until lunch.
Casa Angelina is more than a home away from home.
more than a mere vacation spot; she houses my family.
people who run her, know my name. They like me.
and I love them!

I stare past the lemon trees into the horizon.
my eyes are dazzled by the sparkly diamonds dancing on the bay.
it is a glorious day to be enjoying the Amalfi coastline.
I am a lucky woman. I know this as I begin to write.

Casa Della Pasta

from a street
in Cartagena
stepping
suddenly

into a

restaurant
so Italian
surely i was
in a time warp

for i

i was still
in Colombia but
fooled by the food
so authentico

and even

the wine was
from Italy so
after paying
my bill

instead

of using
the usual
gracias i just
had to say

grazie

Mi Casa Su Casa

as soon as
the lights
go out out
come the
mice not
to play but
to work on
my nerves
gnawing at
this and that
knowing that
this and that
isn't food just
a mood changer
and in my head
i wonder where
you are at with

Papa no muerto se acaba de ir a casa Daddy Not Dead He Just Gone Home---

Todos somos pases de paso ...
Viajando eternidad cielos
En el cielo entonces nacen en pecado;

Si papi tu te has ido
Pero tu no estás muerto;
El Jesús ya murió por ti y por mí;
¡Sí! Mi papá se fue, pero él no está muerto;
Si papi tu te has ido
Pero tu no estás muerto;

O Sonho Igual Uma Casa Muito Engracada

AH o Sonho
Igual a uma casa
Muito engracada
Sem teto
Sem nada
Todas as pessoas podem construir ela!

AH a Imaginacao!
Emite energia e coloca
Paredes e tetos
Na casa, muito engraçada.

AH a Inspiracao!
Algumas pessoas
Enxergam a casa
Com paredes, tetos e beleza!

As pessoa que enxergam assim
Trazem outras
Para dar vida a ela,
Para habitar nela!

Uma casa construida,
Com muito cuidado,
Com muito carinho
Sempre cabe mais
Sempre fica bela!

Her mother wears the marks of her father’s cowardly abuse;
To make it through another day, by noon, his mom is full of juice;
The divorce is getting ugly, hatred gets in the way of compromise;
The children becoming victims, to no one, should come as a surprise.

The courts are overworked; the docket is full of domestic contests;
Lawyers are appointed to represent the parent’s selfish interests;
The children are overlooked; what help can these kids possibly get?
Well, that’s where you can be the hero as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

Just a few hours each month to spend talking to a child,
Caught up in the middle of domestic incivility in a world gone a little wild;
While everyone else is worried about the adults in these domestic legal fights,
The CASAs, as volunteers, help ensure we don’t forget the children’s plight.

If ever you have asked yourself, “What little can I do?”
If ever you have wondered, “What charitable work should I choose?”
If ever you have wanted to thank karma for all the good that you get,
I highly encourage you to become a CASA and help children who are less fortunate.

Casa Azul

Frida and Diego’s house
Had walls of cobalt blue.
Today it’s a museum and
Their paintings are on view.

I didn’t go to Mexico
To visit their collection,
But at the Garden, got to see
A limited selection.

The cactus plants in ochre pots
Arranged in artful ways
Allowed me to imagine Frida
Living out her days.

Some paintings rounded out the show
And photographs as well,
To place the artists at the site
Where both did work and dwell.

The highlight of the whole display,
Which made me crave much more,
Was all the Frida tchotchkes*
In the Garden’s lovely store.

An orange pot and purple plant
Now grace my windowsill,
Reminding me of Frida –
Very un-run-of-the-mill.

*trinkets, knickknacks

(The New York Botanical Garden
currently has an exhibit about Frida Kahlo
and Diego Rivera’s house, Casa Azul.)

Mi Casa

Home is no longer home
Yet a hollow shell of things once remembered
Each journey solidifies an aching truth
I am changed?
Unable to relate to the world which raised me
Our ideals have slipped below the ever changing tides
On calm days I get a glimpse of what could be
But today is a sad truth
I have changed!
Home is no longer home

Picasso En La Casa

Organized collection of data
Splayed open in the meta
I played jokingly Alpha
It was a riot of type Beta
”... Time to test the schemata …”
Arc.of.tech.sure….
Painting a picture pure
Tables related undone
Mental re.codification.On
Reason clears the horizon
Sunrise surprise modification…
Interface driver recollection
Spectacular calculation
Stored and passing inspection
Lines designed for flexibility
Waves of water transparent…
Currents of Lito come urgent
”... learn it…” He said…
So Pablo started in Madrid…
Cubist stylist consisting of Time.
He was their favored Rhyme…
”... shields to test the mind…”
"A slow brush, penetrates the wind."

Mi Casa, Su Casa

Once was mine, this dwelling place,
  In stillness 'neath the dreaming sky;
The sunrise kissed my weathered face,
  The forest rampart latticed high.

The martins nested in the eaves,
  Splashed flecks of earth onto the stone,
And moss and russet fading leaves,
  Snapping twigs as dry as bone.

I watched the lake out in the distance,
  The sun-downed shadows black as graves,
It met with no sense of resistance,
  Sank its cusp into the waves.

All my gathered dreams were free,
  As bright as they had ever been,
'Till winter set its seal on me,
  And froze me slowly from the scene.

Now is yours, this dwelling place,
  Expanded since my dying date,
Taking up a larger space,
  More grandiose, elaborate.

Still here my lowly dreams reside,
  Alongside you, your family;
With room to live and grow inside
  And keep each other company.
