All around mountains stare down,
Dwarfing Bleancwm with a silence,
Our Brockway walk is to begin,
Unusually no song birds to sing!
The steep incline to the top,
Plenty to look at, while the legs stop,
Waterfalls, horse medows, rocks,
Plenty to hear as the mind resets,
Water crashing, Water relaxing,
Breaking the silence of the mountains gaze,
The reward, a look over Bleanrhondda,
Where no doubt the birds have gone,
To join the people and souls in song,
Perfectly lined pine forest, not been touched,
God's home made compost already mulched,
All the trees eerie stand to attention,
One or two fallen, needs to be mentioned,
Further along the roman settlement so high,
The Romans must have thought it was the sky,
As the bikes in the distance come close and raw,
Tearing the path to its core,
All around old man's beard graced the trees,
A mountain that keeps on giving,
Another waterfall so tall, it's having a ball,
Stunning walk back to the car park,
Where the past will always last,
Mining everywhere the spirit is there,
When the spell was cast who thought it would last,
Mountain with a heart beat,
Rhigos you have gave us a treat.

To Broken Boat
Whose land is lost, once more
To sail again, is life to end
So far outcast, the distant shore
With lines untied, the tide a friend
Whose hull, strengthened by years
To waves, rocking a lullaby
So worn, washed by tears
The heavens weep, for why to cry
Whose masts torn, to stop and think
To Broken Boat, the sea adrift
So holy the bilge, it knows not sink
With time so short, this life a gift

Three silly kids from beautiful Montana
thought there was snow in North Carolina,
and sliding down the fluffy slopes.....
they kept going for months 'till they hit rocks!
They were shocked and realized that the further
down they went, the less snow they found....
" We haven't seen an inch of snow and it's December! "
They exclaimed seeing grass still on dry ground.
Every December tons of snow fell in picturesque Brockway,
mountains' slopes plunged into lovely pristine rivers;
it was fun coming down, splash in the cold water and play,
then swim across with frozen toes and clogged ears.
They recalled riding fast sleights and humming carols, but in Andrews
there was no Christmas magic to hold them in useless wait;
bundled up as northern folks, they waited for snowflakes, not blues...
one of them complained, " No blue Christmas this year, let's split! "
Three silly kids from beautiful Montana
thought there was snow in North Carolina,
and disappointed as kids on Christmas Eve, they suddenly decided to leave;
New Year's Day was a week away and their unhappy hearts started to grieve!
