NEEDING YOU

Can’t find the words to say the love that I feel,
can’t express the emotions that I need to heal.
you’re here for me Lord in times of despair,
but the feelings inside I can no longer bear.
Don’t know where to go or how to get there,
my heart, my self concept, please help me repair.
So much to learn and so much to share,
I know that you love me, I know that you care.

THIS OLD HOUSE
The house is old, but still it stands among
the golden hills; silent and unknown, a
symbol of the past.
Once it was a happy home, full of
joy and warmth, now no laughter
rings within, no fire is aglow.
Its boards lie rotting, paint fading,
peeling and the grasses grown tall
obliterating it from view.
The babbling brook that ran beside it, now
lies unmoving; the once sturdy footbridge
barely stands; unsafe, impassable.
The house is old, but still it stands among
The golden hills; all its thrills forgotten
And all its glory gone.

MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS
Mothers and daughters, wondrous and loving,
Sharing special things like laughter and singing,
Like rain and the sun, we have our ups and downs,
While teaching and learning our love abounds.
Oh, mothers seeking daughters, feeling their pain,
Daughters seeking mothers, their knowledge to gain.
When we're together most times we are smiling,
Sharing our inner thoughts with lots of hugging.
No matter how old, we indignant daughters are,
We're always seeking advice from our mothers.
I love you my mother so sweet and dear,
Some way some how, I'll always be near.

your love and compassion will always show.
Your soul so magnificent, only few shall see,
But because of you my heart sings and beats.
I love you my Sister-Friend forever more,
Wish you could be here with me by the shore.
I long to be near you to hug 'n comfort you,
our friendship so strong will always be true.
A smile is surely being sent your way,
with sunshine 'n love to brighten your day!
