haphazard plans
careless and carefree
leaning where the wind heads
enjoying the journey
meandering wanderer
loving her life
living her dreams
following her heart

Bohemian Spirit

Morning spirit
Greet us cloudy and drizzle
Makes cold bone strong.

If Bohemian living means living unconventionally
Isn’t this everyone?
For who lives exactly like another?
Not even a husband or wife.

Premium Member November, month of bohemian melancholy, when leaves fall like rose petals

November, month of bohemian melancholy, when leaves fall like rose petals
On empty boulevards, and the wind carries the scent of nostalgia,
Some memories settle like a veil on the keys of a forgotten piano,
Others linger, vibrating in the air like an evening waltz of shadows.
You, pillar of illusions and unrestrained dreams, bear burdens with an ironic smile,
In you, I pour my longings and reveries, like a poet singing his solitude,
You are like an old café, full of whispers and cigarette smoke,
In your month, I find the lost footsteps on the paths where love dances.
I rewrite constellations in the sky of a love-struck night, searching for stars of yore,
Drawing paths through the city that carries its mysteries under pale lanterns,
The scene is vibrant, and my heart beats like a clock measuring moments of yearning,
A thousand reasons tie me to gratitude, but also to a sweet illusion.
Reflection awakens echoes of passion and regret, of love and dreaming,
I am bathed in the light of a hope dressed in elegant attire,
November, you are more than a season, you are a romantic poem,
You are the anchor, the mirror reflecting the ephemeral and the eternity of dreams.

Premium Member A Bohemian Forest Wedding

You are having a what?
Bohemian forest wedding.
What is that?
I’m not sure actually.
All I have to do is show up.
Her family has done all the rest.
Is this a preview of your new life?
Possibly.
His grin tells me, he does not mind.

Premium Member Bohemian Ambiance

Bohemian Ambiance wafting in the air
I recognize it the second I step into her lair
Lavender incense is lit, inviting me in.
She is a tiny bird-like woman with hardly a chin.

“Well hello!” she says, inviting me to sit down.
I plop rather hard, making a loud whooshing sound.
You are the first one, she tells me, giving me a wink.
I notice the colors of lavender, purple, red, blue and pink.

What a lovely place you have here! I tell her, meaning it.
She smiles with a sweet grin. Her silver candles are lit.
There are turquoise and amethyst rings on her toes
She has a charm that runs around her aura and glows.

You like my place, she says, delighted apparently.
It is really great I admit, and it is truly comfy!
It has been a work in progress she tells me, I like it a lot.
A yellow parakeet flies through the room, surprising me not.

Festive Bohemian Heart

Delusional scimitars
festive daggers
soft balalaika
captive sword ...
Mandolins,
hot nights
harps, wine
poison,...
dangers
daggers
Banjo and
boldness,
gypsy waltz,
ruby joy ...
I desire
of life,
The beauty,
arpeggios
Utopia...
the art
for art to fight ...
be craftsman
of delights
live life in
complete
Bohemia......

Bohemian Threnody

Back then we could eat clouds -
we were that tall, even baggy Ben (who
was small for a lumpy kid),
could leap over a pub door
without leaving the floor.

Then behind our backs
a Lilliputian world crept up,
it was mouse-grey, and it nibbled ferociously.

I went to the South Coast to roustabout;
then the lot of them
chose to join the heavy brigade;
they got real jobs
not the casual hourly sideshow work
bohemians favored.
After spinning my head for a shilling I returned,
but by then the whole decade had dispersed
like moths in a rainstorm.

I renewed an acquaintance or two
with former females,
those who had been set aside
on shelves for later.

There was no longer any power in flowers
drum circles lost their nativist beat.
Of course we all sold out,
I was just a late bloomer.

Now in my mature and preserved fruitiness
I spurn the hallucinogenic
and am as pious as any defrocked magpie
that drips memories by moonlight,
grudgingly bemoaning the sag
of this slow jowly age.

It Was In My Bohemian Life

BOHEMIAN LIFE

           I was a bohemian ... I shot
           words and songs in
           gypsy nights ...
I attracted a lot of kisses on
           worldly dawn ...
I was bon vivant in the madness
            of the world...
            I drank at every table
             of fortune ...
            I laid love on burlesque
             beds ...
Ah! I was a wanderer of
             all the scenes ...
              many barefoot paths ...
              I broke bare boundaries,
               unveiled horizons
to the finger, and the arm ...!
               Ah! this my life,
               folly but lived ...!
