Christmas Season
Let hope blazons
feel the great season of the year
listen to church bells ding, dong, ding
children’s choir are gladly singing
spreading good news for all to cheer.
listen to church bells ding, dong, ding
help the sick and typhoon victims
no matter how hard life may seem
pray, offer to God everything
Christmas Season
rejoice in joyful caregiving
let’s cooperate as a team
pray, offer to God everything
let hope blazons
Let hope blazons

The gaudy beauty of the villas with
new money blazons on the pediments,
the Moon over the garden, the sea breeze,
orchids in bloom - they're all the elements
of the confusing game to lure me to
a point of no return. The sweetest lies,
the jewelry of tears, big and true
enough to kiss them - that's what underlies
your game of love. Please, add a little more
of candlelights reflected in your eyes,
a nightingale, a bit of the Dalmore*,
a swarm of cupids in the starry skies,
et voilà! Before this little verse
comes to its final stanza, I will bring
at your sweet feet the whole universe
with a tamed star of the engagement ring.
You checkmate me… I hope, my fiancee,
will never know I played at giveaway.
* A brand of whiskey.

The birds are chirping,
My heart leaps up for joy
For the music I hear is calming
Exciting every cell in my body
I look across the long lonely room
It’s still dark but I see some little
Light illuminating away the deadly doom
Prompting a fresh feeling so gentle
I lack words to describe exactly how I feel
But don’t worry if I don’t really say it
For you’ll see and know it’s so real
What I feel deep down from the heart
What a lovely new beginning!
Today is a new day of restoration
For what I have been bargaining
From life in a quest for total liberation
Long are gone those weary days
When I lacked vision and direction
And my bones became brittle in decay
What a wretched being I was in that dudgeon!
Now my eyes clearly can see,
Far beyond the imaginary horizon
Further than the farthest stretch of the sea
Far beyond the stars and the moon and the sun blazons.

Long gone are the golden
Dusty days!
Where once, like Blazons
On Armorial Shields,
The gathered bronze sheaths
stood -
Cut through at the stalk...
Raised from time honoured
swathes.
Burnished like brushed copper
By high summers slanted rays:
That were sliced so thinly
From the thickening air,
As they brightly
Caught the hot glare,
From the grass mowers blades.
For the singing scythes,
Once wielded so ably
By strong, capable arms,
Are standing abandoned and
Forsaken:
Blunted, left rusting,
Languishing alone
In damp, dilapidated barns.
Now their songs are forgotten -
Lost within a woeful winds
lament!
Blown far out
From the green meadows;
Separated from their verses
Once sung so heartily
With purposeful,
Lusty, well practiced intent.
So think you all well,
Next time you pause
Your drawn eye,
Upon Englands rich harvests
Of ripened barley,
Yellow wheat, and stiff rye...
To dwell on the lost seasons
With melancholy tears...
And think of the old reaper
Who cuts back at the years!
