Falling from Jacobs Ladder,
Becoming mad at matter,
I'm battered and bruised,
I used all my belief,
My relief covered in grief,
A brief moment of freedom,
Came from falling some,
Clinging on to what's to come,
Little crumbs of hope,
Become threads to the rope,
I use to elope,
Sliding down a steep slope,
Coping with the climb,
Priming myself again,
I know I can win,
My resolve growing thin,
Dissolving into my skin,
Evolving as I sink in,
Thinking it's too late,
Debating another try,
I don't see a reason why,
Every time I reach the sky,
I fly off the hinges,
On the fringes of society,
Bingeing on what I can see,
Enjoying it temporarily,
Knowing what is soon to be,
It happens repeatedly,
I get beat every time,
Climbing the ladder inside.
The clear blue sky above me
Needs a shadow on the run
To hide a weary fugitive
Before the setting sun
The desert plain is endless
And my boots are running dry
A fugitive is friendless
To the stranger passing by
A rattlesnake is rotting
By a rocky mountain cat
A desert rat is scatting
From a nesting acrobat
The craggy peak above me
Is a hide and seeker's base
The little birds are bingeing
On a rabbit's running face
Tarantula's are twisting
In the scathing summer heat
The wasp is worth resisting
But the eggs are hard to beat
I gather what is left of me
When I was still a man
The rocks and caves are not so free
To hold me if they can
I wish I had a pillow
Or a sleeping bag at best
To hide the pain of loneliness
By weeping on my chest
The setting sun is sitting fast
The dune is growing cold
I hope somebody catches me
Before the moon is old.
The rubicon is crossed,
thirteenth legion for glory.
Augustan,publico pro bono,
behold the untold story.
Marched into all Rome,
flags of the republic burn.
Demons threaten his name,
and say they shall return.
All hail justice reborn!,
Caesar, men will know fear.
Battle drums retired now,
nobody guarding the frontier.
Bingeing under empire skies,
baths with foreigners galore.
Wavering peace for the rich,
an abolishment of the poor.
The years passed quickly,
Cicero's return with his scars.
Trampled Rome so defenseless,
once again burning under stars.
Hung from the Romulus gate,
tyrant now in history's stones.
Curia of Pompey never tainted,
with Julius Ceaser's bones.
C is for the Cellulite on my hips dear
A is for my Abs which got so big
R is for the Rich food I've been eating
B is for the Bingeing like a pig
O is for the Oval shape of my body
H is for the Humungous meals I eat
Y is for You telling me I'm too fat dear
D is for Down below I can't see my feet
R is for the Raisins on my sundae
A is for the Apple in my pie
T is for the Tons of stuff I've eaten
E is for the Edibles without red dye
Put them altogether they spell CARBOHYDRATE
They can make you physically unfit
So, I am sitting here and wondering
Just how many are in my banana split.
