Best Zestful Poems
Zestful
Beneath a weeping willow tree
Shielded by its canopy of leaf
Two lovers found sweet serenity
Zestful to share love in ecstasy.
Sadly a vicious storm was brewing
Both their zestful hearts began stewing
Thunder clapped and lightning struck the tree
The sweethearts too, they died instantly.
Forlorn the couple took off in flight
Into the darkness of sky at night
Flying to unknown territory
To dwell in everlasting glory.
The pair were eventually found
They’d decayed into the underground
Their loving souls live on tenderly
Entwined in heaven's grace zestfully.
The tree recovered its heart still beats
Often sadly the willow tree weeps
Never before in its history
Has it known such zestful tragedy.

There was a zany, zesty Zebu that lived his
life with full of zest.
Out of the animals in the big wildlife reserve
he shined brighter than the rest.
He was never down with a big frown, he was
positive and enthusiastic,
So super uplifting that his positivity rubbed off
on all in his presence, his "go-to phrase was “
you’re fantastic!"
The zany, zestful Zebu from a wildlife reserve
in New Zealand isn’t gone.
Zachariah was his name; he was known for
his zestfulness and positivity, his memory
lives on.
* Zebu- The zebu, sometimes known in the plural as indicine
cattle or humped cattle, is a species or subspecies of domestic cattle originating in the Indian sub-continent.

Your inner colors, make your life more active, passionate, and zestful. By Poet
Zenith of zeal and zonary of zealousness
It left me feeling as if I'd been enchanted.
In a man's aloof psyche lies preciousness.
Swiftly glide, by wide sea or sky, undaunted.
Hinder your hope zealous even if dreams die.
A bird with its pennons clipped can't fly.
Life is a bleak, frozen plain in the sway.
If you stayed awake with a zing and a zap
Put glory aside and pound it off with a rap.
Frost might have seen no spring in this gap.
Adopt each day with zeal and dreadlessness.
Feel sway all the way up till skies are slanted.
At its core, any demise should be given away.
Consider heeding this and reaching the cap.

Speeding to progress height
my special son zooms toward zestful flight
driving with his wheel chair with delight
whirling from left to right
cheering us all aright…
Vanquishing spastic blight
which does not well excite
he communes with gestures’ might
conquering boredom’s fight
flying cheerfully custom-made kite…
Then he grabs pen to write
figures clear at his sight
mom’s teeth showing smile’s bright
sister’s bag purely white
bits of cheese he can cheerily bite…
Along good appetite
he strives hard to recite
mumbling sounds without fright
noisy, oh, never quite
mirth-filled midst giggling sprite…
Soon enthralled with flash light
he grips it really tight
exuding smiles that invite
toward genuine respite
from rigors never trite.
With lullaby’s dim light
ending his prayer* plight
comes stuffed toy’s tinkling mite
messing up slumber site
for quirky wriggling cheerful night.
*Psalm 69:13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

"My zestful fellowship with God in prayer comes from His zeal to meet me midst His vibrant partnership." by the Poet
Midst zestful prayer* to God Almighty
my soul finds blessed comfort in His light
shining with peaceful bliss’ tranquility
for praise-filled worship of triumphant flight.
Zestful communion with the Lord brings joy
amidst anguish, sorrow, trouble and pain
smiting doubt-caused miseries that annoy
toward wondrous, serene thanksgiving gain.
Zestful supplication to Christ always
brings hope upon His inviting altar
building up steadfast faith to face with grace
trials while standing as firm Gibraltar.
Zestful intimacy with gracious King
of compassion, mercy and wisdom thrill
guards my heart from guilty carnal lurking
so I can reach summit of service-hill.
Zestful around Saviour’s compassion bond
my spirit claims jubilant victory
clinging for divine aid, sans magic wand
fulfilling roles with zeal* for His glory.
*Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

May days
merry in an iridescent coat of spring
for girls in flowered dresses
jumping rope
one at each yellow handle while two dart in and out
their laughter and chants bounce in unforeseen direction
"Janey and Johnny sitting in a tree
K I S S I N G
first came love then came..."
"skip, skip, skip to my Lou
skip to my Lou my darlin'..."
more chants that snap in step with a cardio zing
girls run in and out of an airborne rope
skip, count
skip and count
like keeping time while the rest of the world roots
in trouble
careful hops like dancing 'round good luck pennies
the snap of the rope smacking pavement
as if filling a void
till sunset fits broad, passive shadows to faces
smirking
silvered by the zestful push of youth
till one day girls step through the rope
without a pause
to come to want different things

“Zest is the secret of all beauty.
There is no beauty that is attractive without zest.” ~ Christian Dior
I look around in wonderment
The sun is shunning bright
A feisty breeze flirts with my hair
I breathe with a rhythmic beat
My heart keeps up the tempo…
So why not I live my life zestfully!
A smile hovers around my lips
There’s a twinkle in my eyes
There’s a bounce in my step
and I am humming a tune all right…
So why not I live the day zestfully!
Lo, there’s love in the air
romance lurking in every corner
where every step has a dance
and a melody on every lips…
So why not I live the moment zestfully!
