Premium Member Apparitions Or Dreams

Clinging to his pillow
     Wondering
Would he ever lie beside me again
     Praying
Miraculous recoveries can come to pass
     Hoping
Finally sleeping, albeit brief
     Succumbing
Bright light filled the room
     Glowing
In the mid of night she sat before me
     Comforting
Clad in the pink dress I’d bought for her burial
     Speaking
“Mother, I miss you and now my husband
     Dying…”

“Dear daughter, I’m watching over you
You coped when I died; you’ll survive this too
You’re not alone, I’ll make sure you get through
Just remember I’m always here for you”

Just five a.m., but the phone
      Ringing
Alone, the vision gone,
     Hearing
“We’re sorry, but John passed in the night”
     Weeping
But feeling mom’s presence still
     Encouraging
Made a move to another state
    Struggling
Years passed, more obstacles, a fiancé drowned
     Yearning
Tossing, turning and finally
     Seeing
In the mid of night John sat before me
     Comforting

“My darling, I’m watching over you
You coped when I died; you’ll survive this too
You’re not alone, I’ll make sure you get through
Just remember I’m always here for you”

Were these dreams or spiritual apparitions?
When trying to survive under adverse conditions
I feel no desire to seek “rational” explanations

To See a Star

A day spent at the stream

With Moondust

Infinities

And beyond

We will come back to the stream

To see a star

In its’ liquidity

In its’ depths

Of my heart

With Moondust

By the stream

Starry glimpses

Of futures’ laid

To travel

In many ways

Through streams

Through dreams

That can never fade

With the night….

The letters began to gleam

Upon the staff

What could it mean?

The way, home?

Could this be right?

I grasped the staff

Felt its’ mesmerizing power

And pointed to the stars

Numbers began to fall

In my heart

With startling rapidity

I remembered

When I launched an arrow

Of gold and brown

To the stars I felt its’ flight

The very same as on this night

High in the night sky

I saw

I felt

An eagle

With stars for wings

Such elation

That only I

Could see that constellation

The arc

To travel

In my heart

In a night sky

To see

My constellation

See it fly

Value

A smile in a thought of a "forever" like this.
A dream from a star's one wish.
A love of a life from a fairy tale one told
To a child with an imagination worth a whole pot of gold.

Can you really put a value to something like this?
Like that feeling you get from your last first kiss?
Or the dreams that come true from a shooting star's wish?
There's no value worth more than all this.

A song from a night from a heart's first glance.
A sway from a dress from a love's first dance.
A rose from a thorn from a child's freedom.
A ring from a night from a tear from one.

Can you really put a value to a moment like this?
To a second in time so carefree as this?
To a heartbeat caused by pure peace and bliss?
To a child's eye lit by a shooting star and a wish?

Could you tell me what it's worth?
Or could you tell me which came first?
Was it hope for a future unknown,
Or happiness from the love that's shown?
Was it a dream from a fairy tale,
Or optimism after every fail?
Because the child that I've never seen
Is one without a single dream.

So tell me,
Can you really put a value to this?
To a first kiss?
A child's wish?
Pure bliss?
To this?
To this moment looking into your eyes?
To a fairy tale defined
By you and I.

Watching the Moon Grow

Night after night I sit to see the Moon shining over me.
Watching its shield unveil a bright night I can just sit to be.
For each night gone by a star shines so bright,
The more and more I sit here this night.
Deeper and deeper I think tonight,
“What if” I had no sight?
Watching its gleam covering more than a lot,
I just sit to see it shine its big light.
For each hour gone by the moments are sought.
So more and more I sit here deeper in my thought.
My mind farther than my further with what this glow has brought,
“What if” the man in the Moon was never sought?
Watching its shadows lurk in the glow,
I sit to see if he will finally be caught.
For each moment gone by clear nights I’ll now know.
So more and more I sit here watching the Moon grow.
There’s just so much to see because it covers over me.
I sit here night after night because it’s just such a true sight.
I give it quite a bit of thought because “what if” all of this was not?
For the more that it comes to glow the more and more I can watch it grow.
There’s just so much to know because it covers me with its tremendous glow.
I sit her with thought after thought because I have more than your lot.
I sit here night after night because “what if” there was no true sight?
For the more I can just come to see the more and more I can just sit to be.

Dawn's Orphan,Midnight's Accepted Son

I've got the Sun in My soul

Your eyes on my skin...my imperfection

I've got the misled night under my spell
I am the one who has left her in a trance

Here in her midnight i am her storm, her marauder for love

I've got the sun in my soul
the midnight is silver in my city...no one knows where I am

The broken day provides no justice...only visible madness

gypsy women on the sidewalk, calling my name as if we've shared dreams together, planned our
lives since children

The music is caught, trapped within the wind

Give it all to me now baby...don't be scared
I can capture it all for you...don't be scared I'll show you a good time

Songs of the dead
Hymns of the living
The caught tears of the yet to be born

I have the misled night under my spell
my imperfection my dark street

I've got to block it all out keep it away

This ain't your scene kid...come on,go away this can't be good for you

The Day has come
I'll be back later...me and my gang of shadows

The Night and Her Ways/Lost Under the Sun

there is a moon,
shining all alone
under all seas looming side to cloud
fall in our night and wait for the one who makes
slip in the prowl
the beasts hold night at growl
howling their sorrows
move midnight forever is tomorrow
come to our dark we run deep in the dusk
trust your lost soul while wait here for the sun

trust your yearning haven safely break
grey sky a-standing
standing far astray

lost under the sun
lost under the sun
lost under the sun
lost under the sun

there is a place
marble floor and blue
there is a space
that was meant for what was you
summer now white a different sort of lone
cold in our skin deeps
looking towards our glow

lost under the sun
lost under the sun
lost under the sun
lost under the sun

Came Together

The moon peaking above the treeline,
An orange so vivid and bright.
As it slowly rises higher in the sky,
The color begins to fade.
To a the most purest if white.
I remember the first touch,
That started it all.
The touch,
So soft,
So sensual.
I can still feel your fingers,
Linger on my face.
The taste of your kiss,
Still imprinted on my lips.
The smell of wet grass,
As the dew begins to form.
The night in it's entirety,
Captured in my mind,
Then captured in words
The night we came together....

The Love Never Known

forever winter
free for eternity
a look into the white morning after the death of night has awoken me
Your face a tattooed revelation in my mind
my sanctity, my salvation, my fleeting moments of peace
You are gone from me now

You never did belong to me
As I never belonged to you
we only possessed the night

Our shadows will find each other
they will escape from us in the night as we sleep
...and share the love we never could
Maybe in a different time or a different world-in a city of bliss far far away...things
will be as we dreamt them to be

Those Were the Days

with muse in hand
I'll take you on a walk to remember

do you remember
when you used to be able to
keep your windows and doors unlocked
and got to enjoy the night breeze's while you slept

do you remember
when you were able to
walk to your local corner store
and not get jacked

do you remember
when soda and cigarettes
were 50 cents a pack and 25 cents a can
and suddenly you had friends
you've never knew you had before

do you remember
when you could ride a city bus for a dime
and go downtown and look at christmas displays
without getting knocked off feet

do you remember
when gas was only a nickle a gallon
so family's could take a nice
summer vaction without noise and traffic

do you remember
when kids walked to school safely
and never had to worry
who was lurking behind them

do you remember
sitting at the soda shopp
just dancing and twisting
the night away without having rumbles

do you remember
when boys were boys
and girls were girls
well on this walk to remember
I'm sure there still out there
but got lost along the way

The Plague!

The night of the living dead....

Bolted doors and boarded windows

Pressing hands, from room to room

Looking for a breech toward entrance

The shallow cracks, that shall allow them in

Into the hallways, within the darkness

Trying to survive, beyond another night

The night that falls, upon every child

Born in the shadows, of these darkened times

Trapped and afraid, deep inside

These bolted doors and boarded windows

Trying so desperately, their souls, to survive
