Best Tumults Poems
Floods of memories
The tumults, the peace
The pitter-patter on rooftops
The passion, in dollops
The continuous beat
Driving away the heat
The smell of rain
The overflowing drain
Emotions uncontrollable
The storms, the lull
Inside, her scent strong
Outside, Nature’s song
Past recreated
Once again, nothing hid
The gusty wind, the ferocious lashes
The crumpled sheets, all the messes
The thunder, the roar
The desire… ‘Want More’
The ebb, the flow,
As in each rendezvous so
The shiver, the quiver
From him to her
The sun pierces the fog
He rolls down, a log
The pleasure, the joy
Comes back the spirit of coy
The rains abate
And thus ends, the love date

Through the opened orifice
of humanities consciousness,
the whirling, whirring, rush of rain;
tumults round the asphalts plane.
Spritzing, spreading, shrieking, zing…
the staccato sounds of wet spring;
the tinkling chimes, the brass banter
the clop of clogs, children canter.
All the sizzle of an oiled pan.
All the sparkle of dew on land.
All pummeled, a peonies pain,
the soundless swirl petals, drain.

O how I pine your lips to feel again
To sip the honeyed fountain of your youth
And let your milk wash me afresh like rain
Cuddling to its breast the wet blistered root
I want to disrobe you like night the moon
And let the drums of our drunken hearts moan
In silk sheets of wind, my desires are swoon
In the lap of memory: All I own -
My fingers lingering at the curves, keep
Deep tumults of joy, O moon, come again
The rod is green, and too erect to sleep
In this slow rise and fall of pant and pain -
I remember too, a brown, dusky light
I before you burnished ... my tropic night.

Out of comatose depths I awaken
Spirit, body, mind and soul
Wake up! I hear. My dreams are taken
Body’s arousal no control
Wake up! Wake up! Her voice shrills through me
Stimulating tumults of annoyance
I awaken in awe of the beauty before me
Disturbing my inner depth’s response
As I come round from realms much higher
She leans over me and stroking my skin
Evokes in me strong sexual desire
No use when hospital bed I’m in!

Nigeria our great and beloved motherland,
where multitudes of tribes unitedly stand.
Our land of hope by two rivers divided,
with lush vegetation by nature provided.
Nigeria our home of people resilient.
A land of great icons in works diligent.
We hail thee our great and revered black nation,
our land of human dignity and redemption.
God arise and take your place as sovereign Lord.
Enthrone Thyself in Nigeria's seat of power.
Make her edicts and laws Thy eternal word.
Let justice prevail in her courts by the hour.
Our flag will peace and industry symbolize,
whilst our history will always immortalize
the deeds and sacrifices of our heroes past.
Help us Lord to serve our beloved land with zest.
Nigeria the blessed will pervasive peace know,
even when the threats of tumults seem to flow.
Her crops and yields will neighbouring countries nourish,
from her fields that inexhaustibly flourish.

I too have come to a blank wall to tell
In sorrow's thronging pangs my sad farewell.
I too toll my heart with memory's bell
The mortal flesh is a fake citadel ...
Brim me with tears so colors now supplied
May be the rainbow shuttered when you died
In flesh alone. Heaven's milk is my tears
Honeyed for the sting of mercenary years.
It was not easy for the mud was black
A mother's incessant rain, the dry sun
Of a father - a whip saddling the back
And yet a child with gift lifts any ton
Of dreams. So stellar of Jackson Five
You shot across my teenage sky with Ben
As your feet scurrying like a bright hive
Spun and twist and slide like a magic pen.
It was not hard for me to believe you
That you would be there, for you were so bad
Nothing could turn you back again. I knew
The artist more than I knew the man ... sad
And tormented, with its childhood deferred
In the unending coming of manhood;
The adult world was a bizarre dream, a blurred
Reality that spirit ne'er understood.
Yet I would not envy you mortal pain
Nor bring you back into the fickle lights
To swell your heart with tumults of disdain.
Visionaries here have no rights
And the black sorrow is hardest to bare.
I only know the world of pop have lost
The best, you were the king, a talent rare,
But fame comes to some with a brutal cost.
So let the bells toll as flowers fade
Where we pile them, what is real must past,
For only the artificial stays. Wade
Me through the sad throng, my homage cast
Upon the stage from where vision took flight
Into our hearts, and brimmed us with your gift.
I shall count an extra star up there tonight
For you Michael, for time has spent your thrift.

Let's say we have capitulated
yes, let's say we have succumbed
to their whimsical naivété and inane wisdom
Let us assume that it is all phoney
that it is a bogus hoax-filled folklore
We shall now pretend that we have been beguiled by such marvelous
exercise of ludicrous folly
Such bombardment of contorted philosophy
But in our gullibility we shall yet ask
in sheepish inquisition and meek certainty
if this course so pitiably slandered be nothing but deceit,
why then does it stand conspicuously so therapeutic?
why has it made men
who traversed through the impossible vortex of
reality's odd challenges?
why has it given Invigoration with hope
the haggard Destitute?
Why has it restored green to those fallen human twigs
Why has it steadied nerves and halted addictions?
Why has it healed the sick and made disappear tumults?
Why has it prognosticated that which we now perceive
Does nothingness do that
Does nothingness tender an insight so revealing,
So infinite.
Does nothingness and baseless belief
deliver from the vague labyrinth of man's ordination
if these be true
Who then doubt's the veracity
Why then disprove religion

Free verse
I want to be heard by the Lord,
I want Him to listen to my every word,
To receive this my heartfelt prayer,
I need to know that He is there.
I shout my words o’er roaring seas,
Hear me oh Lord please hear me.
Help me to find a way to peace
My words are blown away, with which I make my pleas.
I shout my words o’er howling winds,
Hear me oh Lord please hear me.
Help me oh Lord for I have sinned,
My words are blown away, on which my hopes are pinned.
I shout my words by gales they’re tossed
Hear me oh Lord please hear me.
I climb a hill for I am lost
I remember Calvary and think of the cross.
I want to be heard by the Lord,
I want Him to listen to my every word,
To receive this my heartfelt prayer,
I need to know that He is there.
In thunder’s crash my words are drowned,
Hear me oh Lord please hear me.
Lightning flashes all around,
My words are blown away, words shouted in despair
I drop to my knees in fear I freeze,
In the midst of the storm I whisper a prayer
The tumults cease, the air stills, there is peace,
Heard by the Lord is my prayer, He heard my whispered prayer
He heard my whispered prayer
I have been heard by the Lord,
I now know He listens to my every word,
I now know that He’s always there
To receive my whispered prayer
It is a song and a lovely Irish man, Tony Barden, recorded my words and melody.

Lyric
"Oh beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain."
----------
Tales from ancestral lore decree
How journeys prompt discovery.
Evolving visions, sacred themes,
Beckoned onward those hopes and dreams:
One land became that promised place
Undaunted seekers could embrace -
No plight would prove too burdensome
That might deny wayfarers from
Immigrating to obtain
Freedoms that they could thus sustain.
Unbowed by struggles they would face
Long suffered souls these tests embraced;
Long wandered wards from tumults fought
Advancing quests for futures sought.
Now, praise their spirit rightly famed -
Defend those rights so nobly gained.

Rhyme
Instead of smiling ,
She was crying
A moment of silence replace tumults of joy;
Thus the day i was born,
A day when the sun sat on the nook of horizon east,
Thus when the angels,
The lords sung benediction along with a dirge,
But on a hallowed neon day with my sister's breath i was born
In her calls,
I hear my calls to
In her cries,
I cried out to meet the world and when she opened her eyelets,
I recieve my sight
Thus she call me "Thomas"
She say there was no even a chance i could be alive
She say ,she doubt i could live long and still today the star is shining in darkness
Thus the truth lying in her soul resting in peace
"Based on a true story....,Sometimes we are born but not just the same some cry to meet the world and some could not have the chance....and so as i"

Epic
Midst mild and wild tumults like eddy, vortex, swirl, and whirl,
A maelstrom is a summation of curl and twirl and hurl;
Weather and season get amalgamated with currents,
Winds, storms, gales, squalls, haboobs, and wuthers become deterrents;
Vacuum, like caves or tunnels, into hearts of water,
That curve and cleave and crack, and clang and constantly clatter...!
I have never been to the far or deep sea for fishing,
Or for an adventure that involves mind-body squishing;
Corvettes, cruisers, battle crafts, frigates, and great galleons,
Have got gulped by the colossal maelstrom daedalians;
To the courtyards of the sea gods, these underpasses lead,
Wherein, motionless, creatures feel absolute bondage freed...!
Chaos, violence, and ethnic hatred in every form,
A ship-devouring maelstrom as an innate psychic norm;
Regions, regimes, trade, and populace seeking protection,
Religious democracy coming to conscience flexion;
Wanes into vain vanquish; drains virtues into cosmic pain,
Strife to swim against maelstroms is our existential gain...!!!

Throw off the old tired ways
Seek something new to try
Look to the brighter days
Let all your cares go bye
It's the hard thing that stays
Shifting can cause tumults
Often finding false praise
This world wants firm results
Take the other one's place
Before it's way too late
Peer in the face of race
First off, let's end the hate
Turn the tables on the rich
Quell fake profit sharing
Pull the poor from the ditch
Feed the hungry staring
Our earth's slowly dying
Take a tactic that's new
Plants out loud are crying
See what we all can do
As your path runs along
Honor differences
When benefits seem strong
Find fair consequences
No need for reasons why
Worn words all sound the same
What's weak hides in our sigh
Fearing change is insane

DIMENSIONS.
To think of you
Is not to think of you
Tonight.
A single point diverges
Into dimensions of horizon
Subterranean reasons within
Causing rippled symptoms.
Singular diversions
Of narcissus nihilty
A muted presence
Perhaps will be sufficient
For directing love into some clarity.
A life perhaps you loose
Or control over its luminosity
An entry into cessation
A heart into intellectual sterility.
A few returned to the sea
To pick rock or the rose
Under scorpioned rough shades
Some deadly tumults in remorse.

All brimming crystal drizzled earth frazzled glory hugged;
Icicles jousting kaleidoscopic light, meets
Natures overfrosted pinnacled quiverings.
Raining snow tumults us, Life-like vanities:
Waning xylems' younger zeniths
