Throwaway Rhymes

I'm back with a bunch of throwaway rhymes I put together
When I admitted I was insane my mind just got better
When I have an anxiety attack I start breathing rapidly
How can they frame me when they can't even capture me?
I hold my hands up, for the times I fall short
I won't apologize for having my own opinion and not going along with what you all thought
I'd rather stand out than try to fit in
When a Man cries, you diss him
Go ahead, make fun of me, I come from a background of neglect and being bullied
I learned from my own mistakes so I don't need anyone to school me
All of my pads are full, I need to go and get a clean book
Have you ever scribbled out a rhyme that later seemed good?
I've been through hell and back, but things are a little better now
I want to spend one night with Rihanna before me and Ariana Grande settle down
Some will call me a womanizer, but I just love females
Either way, let's just agree to disagree on the details
People argue over so much pointless stuff that doesn't matter
Why do we try to rewrite one page out of a dozen chapters?
Do I double rhyme too much? Does some of it go unnoticed?
I'm not that great of a writer, I'm just one poet
I'm not even a poet, all I do I'd rhyme words about my life
I smile, but they still find hurt in my eyes
Sorry this wasn't great, I know it could have been better
But these were just a bunch of unused lines I put together

Throwaway

She sits in a makeup prison of her own choosing,
mirroring her daytime as a domicile prima donna star
Always craving the wrong kind of attention,
refrigerated happiness is a guilty pleasure given
There’s always plenty of cash and calories to burn,
shopping is a showcase trophy wife’s diva freedom
Got a corporate husband who loves looking at his sexy spouse,
his upper management skills pays for the plush house,
and the other lavish accouterments
But she knows he lives for his business evening entertainment,
showing off his sensual marital partner to his clients
Hearing the oohs and the aahs
seems to always stroke his ego just right
Parading around in pricey cosmopolitan clothes,
she’s at her best putting on a good, private fashion show
Making the other women present envious ... though curious,
wondering how does she
keep that taut skin package wrapped tight with a bow
All the while having the money hounds tongues wagging,
as the champagne and business propositions flow
She has the key to the kingdom,
and she ain’t never gon throw it away
Age is her only enemy,
which she fights with the fierceness
of an Amazon warrior
The body in the mirror demands daily perfection,
but cosmetic coverups can only do so much
Her natural beauty’s gonna be a throwaway one day —
and when the sad reckoning comes,
divorce will be a legal wrinkle that can’t be airbrushed away

Premium Member Throwaway Girl and Hollow Man a Love Story

She was a throwaway girl
who lived in the background
like a low humming mélange
of laughs, tears, and breaking glass.
I smiled, nodded, or frowned--
mostly at the right moments,
till…she left,
wearing her colorful melting mask.
As she shut the door,
quiet filled the room again.

He is a hollow man.
For this fairytale romance
I forgave the wrongs,
excused the slights, and
tried to be more attractive,
more patient, more interesting,
more…
until I realized I’d been a ventriloquist…
and left.

The Throwaway

I peer in her nighttime eyes,
Those that once lived on the street,
And sense a depth of weeping,
By cracked city curbs with grief.

She was “sold” to me in a little pink sweater,
No longer was her owner to keep her,
Not vicious is she, just afraid
Too many have misunderstood her.

Found in a parking lot,
Found again by a lonesome single,
Abandoned afraid in favor of a new baby,
She couldn’t know what I know, and

She can’t suspect now how I love her,
I stare warmth into her pensive eyes,
She no longer tries to run away,
Is she pondering, brooding, resigned?

Oh, Lord keep us sheltered through her doggy years,
That she feel contented, safe,
She’s had no control over her short little life, and
She can’t even suspect how I love her today.

A Throwaway Poem

A throwaway poem

This is just a throw away poem;
Take it in or leave it to be.
I know exactly where this poem is going;
Some poems are just thrown away.
Thrown away, to you, from me.

It was a throwaway

The cursor blinked as I thought about my response
See in my head it made sense
You get none of the chances of being stabbed in the back plus the added bonus of not having to buy a round
I know I am miserable but I thought let’s see if there is a spark I haven’t seen yet

ME/question.org

When I read it I was intrigued

A meeting friends site you type a secret questions

I took a few days thinking about mine thinking I might be funny what does pokemon taste like
………….why do mad people pretend to be sane
but shook them his question was too enticing ME/who…

ME/…ooowh

that was it I made a friend
we spent neon hours discussing our favourite fiction
The bible or law
Which cartoon animal would win a fight
I still contend Bob would be indestructible
If you could turn into any animal
I said whale
You replied wouldn’t you be gasping for air

We talked dads and whose had injured them the worst
Long gone loves
dogs we lost

People who poisoned our lives

Which politician lies the best

Movies that’s where we gelled

Our lists so comparable

Some were new but now shared by both

Days I kicked off sweat logged shoes
Grabbed a beer
And grunted s to the ceiling
only to smile as

ME/ them
beeped onto my screen

but it niggled me some of his answers definitely caused me a shiver.
