Best Thank Youlife Poems

To My Granny

So, granny, they tell me you died yesterday
i wish i could have known you better,
i wish i knew the stories you had,
of love and loss, of joy and sorrow,
I could sit for hours, listening, and learning
A sweet old lady, with a long history, how beautiful is that?

I was busy, struggling, with my own story.
Wow, i do have regret, a loss,
i guess, i should have reached out to you,
been your student,
what did you have to teach?

I hear you were angry,
9 children, dozens of grandchildren and theirs
no one visited you, showed you love,
not even me.

So, you are in the afterlife now,
released, and let go of the tired body.
Our tears are with you, in our loss,
We all loved you, but were too wounded by life,
to see you, to know you, to be close.
The love we should have had.

I painted you, sitting in purgatory,
surrounded by the angels of healing,
I ask the angels to hold you gently as you cry,
and nurture your wounds from this life
The colors of regret and anger,
dissolving,
into acceptance and love.

we all need you to heal quickly
and be our guide.
A voice from heaven
teaching us to love more, give more and forgive.

We all give thanks to the life you lived,
and the lives you brought into this world.
We will all appreciate each other more,
a little more giving, a little more love,
all inspired by the life you lived and left.

Premium Member So Many Mothers

Kindheartedness to me
Comes in many forms
Being fostered and cared for
As my young life storms

Born to a mother
Who decided to leave
But this seven year old
Never wanted to grieve

For his words became true
As he grew through the years
The matrons in children's homes
Replaced his tears

As he grew to his teens
With his friends he did stay
For their mother became his
So many mothers to this day

As i look back
To the women in my life
They all became my mother
And saved my life from strife

Kindheartedness to me
Came in many, many forms
So many unlike my mother
Seen me through the storms

A Life Journey

There was a time in my life when I was Self-assured
and I experienced the Esteem of my fellow man.
I could walk into a roomful of strangers and have no qualms
about the dangers of a slip of the tongue, as I knew I would have
a quick and witty repartee for them.

Of course, that time in my life passed all too quickly, as I grew
older and "full of wisdom" taught by life's experiences. The self-assurance
I had when I was 18, transformed into a more cautious, yet still
estimable 25. Taking what I knew to be the deceitful practices of
unscrupulous and dishonest men, I reassessed my own life in terms of
its self-assurance and esteem.

I found that I it was more difficult to be sure of myself in every situation;
that because of the pain I had to endure at their hands I would now look
at my life through the ever emptying glass of self-worth, prestige, and
know-it-all attitude. I had to find my guide, again.

Others now pointed out the foibles that were inherent in my character. I took note of
these observations, only to find that too many of them were true. However, I also began
to realize that in order for me to again regain the esteem of the person I saw each
morning in the mirror, I had to better follow my original mission statement of life ~ TO
HELP PEOPLE.

I began this mission in earnest by careful assessment of the past mistakes I had made in
judgment, my personal sins of commission and omission, and a renewed faith in God's mercy.
It has been a struggle for over 30 years now, and I have a renewed Esteem and
Self-assurance because of my belief in Him.

Of the gifts He gave to me in that time of searching, the most important and influential
were a new wife and family, their love and affection, and the ability and confidence to
write words like these for you to read.

Now, I can again enter that room of strangers and have the ability to speak to them
without the doubts that have plagued me for these many years. I owe it to the Lord above,
thank Him for His generosity to me, and pray that you will also know His Loving Will in
your life. VIVAT JESUS!

Appreciation of Gods Give

Thanks God for miracles,
Thanks God for triumphs,
Thanks God for the struggles I've been through for they are the strengths,
Thank you God for everything even in time lengths,
My soul is old and is now wiser,
So much stronger with my faith to you being my riser,
I hope and see now is my time to bloom in this epiphany,
I my love I give to people God for you unwillingly,
No matter how hurt they do to me I stay strong,
With your love gives my soul light that others may no longer see,
That light is life and God for another open door you've thrown to me so clear and safe,
I hope to make you happy as well as myself heavens make,
You give me sight as I may roam earth of my planned road you have for me or may lead me to
take,
I shall strongly see straight in path of Jesus God guide me,
If I get lost or must do to survive,
Be there strong until I can make it through this worlds living life alive,
I shall try to make the best of this for it may be my last door opened you give,
As others don't get as much as you have tried and did give to me,
Which makes me happy to live,
please God let me reach where I want and dreamed to be,
And see the life I on this life have imagined to see,
and would love to live,
Amen God thank you for you always give.

"me, Just Me"

I spent half my life chasing the devil...
Thank God I was always followed by an Angel..
Tried my best to be a gentlemen and love life..
Did my best to always not to choose wrong over right...
The truth is what you got from this later in life poet...
Hope my words go on for others to show it...
So as I pass to the other side, when you think
of me remember, I did enjoy the ride....

Premium Member Planck To Present

If we close our eyes, can we look back to the start
When the Universe began, when science played it's part

Particle clouds so massive, so immense
It's us, look around, learn it makes sense

Drifting microbes, bacteria of sorts
For millions of years mingled into life shaped contorts

It has taken eons of time as life became known
Where human words like Mother Nature, having claimed life's throne

For in her sphere, blossomed riches of note
From Dinosaurs to Zebra's, it's her right to gloat

But what she has given is a chance to let live
On this planet of beauty that we continue to sieve

If we close our eyes, and we look back to the start
We should be so very fortunate, we were invited to take part

Remember

Remember....

I never knew what friendship was, 'til I look'd upon my past;
I thought of all those i'd known before, and it came to me at last;
Friendship is what, we once shared, once upon many years ago,
an unbreakable bond between two silly kids,
most, in a lifetime could never know;

Life must have had it's reason, for our paths to cross, again,
especially after all these years,
reflecting upon our youthful past has brought my heart to tears,
All the daring things we did back then, some may wonder how we
made it through;
it was because we knew, we had each other, is my heartfelt point
of view;

It was you, my friend, who was there for me,
through the good times and the bad,
You saw me when, I was rarely happy,
and at my worst when I was sad,

Not sure if I ever thank'd you, for being there for me,
is why I write this down today, so that you'll know, and always see,
How much, if nothing, you influenced MY life,
and my heart you were able to touch;
No one knew more, about who I am,
I'd venture you know too much...

Please hold this when you're lonely, or question life at all,
You never have to go it alone,
remember me and call..
and if ever life should take us, on different paths again,
and it forces our lives apart,

NEVER question, my life long friend, where you belong,
Look no further than my heart.....

Best budds then, now and always....

The Gift

Far too many for all to see.
Too many gifts you've given to me.

I always knew you'd be there with me till the end.
What a wonderful blessing with you as my friend.

I've hated, cursed you, and trampled over your land.
But in my times of pain, you were holding my hand.

A teacher, a friend, a nurse, and a joy,
even alone you made me a man, from a boy.

You always put us kids first, even if your life was the cost.
Without you as my guide, my life would sadly be lost.

Mother, I love You. Your constant great gifts.
My life's been a heaven. Thanks to you my heart lifts!

Thanks

i may have caused a little hell
but you have taught me very well
life isnt easy and times can be hard
and sometimes you just have to play your best card

you've tried and tried and done your best
and i hold your advice over the rest
you've hung in there over the test of time
the only person ive ever seen stretch a dollar from a dime

you've made sure i was happy no matter the price
anything i've asked for you never thought twice
i may not be listening but i still hear what you say
i know im stubborn and tend to learn the hard way

the people in your life that deserve a toast
often the ones that matter the most
taken for granted every single day
too many times i have forgotten to say...

you have always been there you've never let me down
now all i want is to live a simple life in a small town
you may not notice but i see all that you do
you deserve it a million times over but... thank you
