Best Seasonsweather Poems
During last night’s weather report came the warning.
There would be heavy snowfall in the morning.
Radio and television are turned on throughout the town.
The reason is that the snow is falling down.
Yes, the seasonal precipitation is causing a fuss.
We do not know if we should wait for the school bus.
There is room for doubt if there will be school.
Closing down for inclement weather is the rule.
Then the announcement comes. There are no classes today.
The children jump up and down and yell “Hooray”!
Well kids, do not be celebrating too soon.
You will only have to make up for it in June.
fickle weather gods
who cannot make up their minds...
changes hourly.
bright, sunny morning
becomes cloudy with showers...
back to clear sunset.
weather gods spin wheel
to see what today will bring
-no consistency.
not like the weather?
well just wait five minutes then,
standard joke for fall.
umbrella or not?
if left behind, will need it.
take it...it stays dry.
evil weather gods
like playing tricks on us all...
fickle fall weather.
October days are dark and cold
But the People don’t complain
No one seems to stay at home
Because there’s wind and rain
People come from out of state
They hate the weather scene
The residents of Washington say
“It’s what keeps us green”
When a bright and sunny day
Finally comes around
The weather is talked about
By everyone in town
Sun glasses on - the BBQ lit –
Lawn chairs on the grass
Skip your work - enjoy the sun –
It’s sure not going to last
