School Closing

During last night’s weather report came the warning. There would be heavy snowfall in the morning. Radio and television are turned on throughout the town. The reason is that the snow is falling down. Yes, the seasonal precipitation is causing a fuss. We do not know if we should wait for the school bus. There is room for doubt if there will be school. Closing down for inclement weather is the rule. Then the announcement comes. There are no classes today. The children jump up and down and yell “Hooray”! Well kids, do not be celebrating too soon. You will only have to make up for it in June.

Ouch...I used to love snow days.:) Thanks for your comment, Robert. I'm sure that most feel squeaky clean, and their bubbles are iridescent. I suppose during the day I'd jumped into a mud puddle...got out and rolled in the dry dirt...I must have felt like a cocoa dusted truffle. Still, that was how I'd felt at that moment. Wishing you the best...Mikki
