Dancing With the Stars

Mother Earth bearded with trees,
Blanketed with skin of sod,
Her stony organs composed
of caves, caverns and caches,
Banking precious minerals and gems.
Sustained by the Solar system surrounding her,
and nourished from relished rescources within.

Her ferocious fiery heart
Pumps high pressured molten blood
Through vast veins of ledge,
Bleeding it from mountain pores,
Crater wounds and fissures
on her ocean floors,
Causing salty Tsunami tears
to ripple across her cheeky shores.

Her face wrinkled with the majesty of mountains,
Dimpled with canyons and crevasse,
Stained with grasslands and Savannahs,
and spotted with veneer of velveteen moss.
Pimpled by hills leaking with raging rivers,
bathed in cascading waterfall showers,
and crystal blue water lakes.
Animated by nature,.. her soul, ..her DNA

She adorns her antiquity
with shocking arrays of multicolored wildflowers,
Delicious fruit, a vital ensemble of vegetables,
Herbs, artifacts of energy and natural wonders;
Creating an electrifying, atomic, atmosphere
to stage her exotic creatures and precious beings.

Adorned by a circling celestial priceless pearl,
An exquisite orb as ancient as She.
She, this blue planet,
Center of her spatial stage,
Unabashed, pirouetting, posing,
Tilting and lilting her charms,
to a universal audience of retreating astral beings.

She, spotlighted by an extravaganza of stellar luminaries.
She, Earth, so powerful, energized, extraordinary,
Mesmerizing, distinguished, mysterious,
Thought by many to be the godess,
Star of the Show...

And yet...
and yet ..she herself..
and All of nature..
has been ..
CREATED.

Premium Member The Elephant's Grandeur

Where sun-kissed savannahs endlessly sweep,
And acacia crowns the skies, a verdant keep,
A titan walks, with earth-shaking tread,
A monument of grace, with wisdom bred.

Oh, Elephant, colossal and wise,
Your eyes, like embers, gleam beneath the skies.
Your ivory tusks, like sun-bleached spears,
Pierce the heavens, dispelling all our fears.

Through emerald depths, you silently stride,
A living fortress, with nature as your guide.
Your trunk, a trumpet, blasts a rhythmic call,
Echoing through valleys, grand and tall.

With a gentle touch, you pluck a leafy prize,
Nourishing your form, beneath the sunlit skies.
Matriarch wise, with love unbound,
You lead your herd, on sacred, ancient ground.

Oh, Elephant, guardian of the plains,
Your ears, like maps, etched with wisdom's gains.
You listen to the whispers of the earth,
Guiding your steps, is a testament to your worth.

But shadows lurk, a darkness cast afar,
Where greed and folly wage a callous war.
Forests recede, and poachers stalk the night,
Threatening your future, with a consuming blight.

Let us stand tall, and raise a voice so strong,
To shield these giants, where they rightfully belong.
For in their presence, we find our guiding light,
A mirror to our soul, a future ever bright.

So let us cherish them, these titans of the land,
Protecting their haven, with a caring hand.
For in their grandeur, a truth we come to see,
Respect for all creatures, eternally.

Oh, Elephant, may you forever roam,
In lands untamed, your true and sacred home.
A timeless emblem, of strength and majesty,
Forever etched, in Earth's tapestry.

Giraffes

Great are the savannahs
It's amazing to see them
Right where you always roam
Always in search of food
From the treetops you look down
Far and wide is your sight
Every step you take is tall
So much taller than I

Feel Africa

FEEL AFRICA

Silence!
Silence Africa!
One can hardly get Africa to be silent;
Africa habours a pulsating bubble.
Everyone in Africa bounces to rhythm resilient.

Africa, like Zambia, or
Zambia, like Africa;
Dear ones, whichever comes first
Swells with energy in the sun!

You see not the pulse;
You feel every ounce.
Feel it now!

Woo! Woo! Is it fun or funny?
Africa loves to dance.
The continent is one huge drum;
One complete dance!

They work hard too.
Mothers and daughters,
Fathers and sons;
Mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law
Of Africa work hard
They fetch water; they collect wood.
They pound corn; they cook their food.

In all their creation,
People of Africa have one ingredient;
SONG!
You hear them sing while pounding corn.

Phew! Phew! Wow!
At funerals we sing and dance,
At weddings, even more song and dance.
Nothing has ever stopped Africa from dancing;
Yes! Even the tragedies we’ve known;
The genocides and ethnic cleansings,
in the heart of the continent.
Apartheid in the Cape of Good Hope;
Starvation, hunger, war;
Famines, droughts and floods
In the great lakes and the horn of Africa!
We have mourned;
We have questioned!

Mmmh! Courage!
Courage is what kept us alive.
We felt like throwing it away;
Accepting defeatist tendencies;
Choose revenge; and hurt;
Not with Africa.
We have come out reassured.
We have emerged tested in fire;
More finer and stronger than before
We can afford to pray!

We are like lions; the pride of the universe.
Our pride lies in our landscapes; the mountains
And the valleys;
the plateaus and the savannahs.
Free flowing rivers,
Connect us with worlds near and far.
We accommodate strangers as our rivers instruct.
Strangers of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans;
The seas and lakes!
They brought the world to us
as they did bring us to the world;
the Zambezi, the Nile and the Congo.

They have made us larger than we have ever been.
We can join in the songs and dances of others
As they can join ours too.
Come join us; feel at home!
Feel Africa!

One Zambia, my dear one;
The little star of copper.
You shine deep in the heart of the continent;
Warming the cold and frightened neighbours!

The blessing you are is the blessing you offer.
You exemplify unity in multiplicity,
Of languages and ethnicity;
Be not afraid copper star.
Shine as bright as you do;
Only warmer!

Ancient Egypt

hieroglyphics would have been more appealing
in epitomizing a backward spin to the ancient scenes
the heart of a glorious dynasty to have existed
a time machine of reviving words will do the trick
and pay tribute to the famed mammies
of the land that hath meaning to the word civilization

great colossal deities ushering us into the antiquities
of a man as famous as to be villained in gewish tales
footsteps trailing to his heightened heels
majestically beaming in a flock of maidens
a lengthy beard, the sovereignty of the wielder
awaiting the slaughter of a mighty emperor

another victim has fallen into the hands
of a beast that's conquered kingdoms of old
the king of the jungle stood no chance
against a dynasty as great as the Nile
held by hung-men his pale eyes cry
to the blue skies that fathered the green plains
worldly acclaimed for beastly migration

first came Samson in followed pharaoh
to boast of having slain a mighty cat,
vast seas from the splendor- lit savannahs

the gates close and we drift back into our time
call it a glance into ancient civilization

My Africa Is Free

In Africa's embrace, freedom sings,
Through vast plains and rivers' springs.
A continent's heartbeat, strong and true,
Where dreams take flight, where hopes renew.

From ancient tribes to modern days,
A tapestry of colors, myriad ways,
The spirit dances, unbound and free,
In the rhythm of Africa's jubilee.

On savannahs wide, where lions roam,
Freedom echoes in nature's poem.
The mighty elephant, with grace untamed,
Symbolizes strength, forever unchained.

From Cape to Cairo, and Timbuktu,
Freedom's flame burns bright and true.
Through struggles faced, and battles fought,
African hearts remain steadfast, never distraught.

From the echoes of apartheid's reign,
To independence, breaking every chain,
Africa's spirit rose, resilient and proud,
In the face of adversity, standing unbowed.

In Soweto's streets, the cries of change,
The birth of freedom, forever ingrained.
Nelson Mandela's voice, a beacon of light,
Inspiring a nation to stand up and fight.

The rhythm of freedom, an African beat,
Resonates through the lands, a harmony sweet.
In vibrant markets and bustling towns,
Freedom's essence can always be found.

From the Sahara's dunes to Victoria Falls,
Freedom cascades in majestic calls.
In the whispers of the Serengeti's breeze,
The promise of freedom whispers with ease.

Through fields of gold and diamond mines,
Africa's treasures, its vibrant signs.
Yet true wealth lies in freedom's embrace,
Empowering every soul, every race.

Let freedom's flame forever burn,
Igniting a hunger to learn and discern.
For in the spirit of Africa, we find,
The boundless potential of humankind.

So let us celebrate, Africa's birthright,
Freedom's triumph, a radiant light.
From Nigeria's shores to Ethiopia's peaks,
Let freedom reign, for all future weeks.

In unity, let us join hands and stand,
Honoring Africa's liberation, grand.
With hearts ablaze, our voices resound,
Freedom's anthem, forever renowned.

In Africa's embrace, freedom thrives,
Nurtured by the land, where hope survives.
A continent's journey, ever so grand,
A testament to the power of freedom's hand.

Moral Army

Moral army,
As always said," African youths
are well organised and disciplined."
Fighting with the westerners
in african territories
It is not the calls or visions.
Everyone is tired to see dead bodies
of the innocent young people in the forests,
savannahs, deserts , and waters
because of the few selfish world leaders
and bourgeoisie societies

Moral army,
Majority westerners must admit publicly
their failures
              and merciless
Then stop needling the young Africans
who are rising with words
                                   not swords
        with forgiveness
 not heartless
                      with Christocracy
              not ( illuminati) or Freemasonry
With reality
                   not hypocrisy
                                           peacefully
                         not barbarity.

Moral army,
Let say "
Adieu to archaic method
of wars , rebellions,  terrorism in Africa."
Pillage of African resources for centuries
And still failing to do things by themselves.
Look at the good moves of chinese in the world
who are working very hard
to build their economy.
They continue to cause chaos in Africa
Which is empowering China and Russia.
Africa could be superpower by now and
help them because of its natural good heart.

Pollution

Acid has become our rain
and oceans with mercury do we stain
dioxin lies beneath our ground
in everything toxic materials be found

E-coli is used to alter genes in food
where recombinant DNA is understood
heavy metals do the population addle
as the health industry lose continuing battle

With the law makers do the inhabitants contend
and a wealthy man can the laws amend
documented information on man's pollution
yet nobody seems to have a solution

Programs that show if man were to die
nature herself would repurify
at 300 years would be the retaking
of only a portion of what mankind is making

Desecration upon desecration upon the land
mankind destroys himself with his own hand
no amount of law can change our ways
our own nature fallen since ancient of days

Scientists who study regeneration
pursue this path with great fascination
they know that the body should heal itself
but understand not sin and it's stealth

Deserts now stand where nature did blossom
the amount of the damage is beyond awesome
ground waters filled with pesticide
about it's effects have governments lied

Asbestos and arsenic and lead just a few
adversely affect the body nothing new
tons upon tons of toxins released to our air
and only for wealth do manufacturers care

Seabirds and mammals die from plastic trash
the production of garbage for making of cash
forest and savannahs are being depleted
in soil degradation are crops being seeded

With love for our earth the concerned have their say
but the pursuers of wealth do get their way
the destroyers of earth with God will clash
but this system of things will Jesus dash

Linda-Marie and Happy Woman

Yesterday's loud welcome
Dance of the night.
Linda-Marie's dot pens
Celebrate the happy woman
and the love lair
Spicing the world.

But not just happy woman
The ribful happy man too
Whose rib gladened
And brought her forth
To rule and relish
Since Edem times.

Happy woman, happy woman
Happy as vessel of honour
By whom we all came here
Happier for spicing the man
And blosoming the world
All by his precious glue.

The one sitted high above
Gave to us the grove
Long. Short
White. Black
Red. Yellow. Purple
Purpose dovetailed by Him.

Short arm. Longer arm
Crouching in firmness
Bending over, long siding
Caging things, climbing or falling
In proper cool or hot always
Whether in extreme urgency or not.

With only shadows on the walls
Tellling their presence at times
And muted belches or gaspings
Melting at diverse points
To start all over if there is iron
Here in Africa, we know it well.

No template of half measures
Works here in the savannahs
Come away then to Africa
Where nature binds and bids
Come and have your fill
The happy woman is an African

Africa For Africans

Africa for Africans

Down the rivers of the east
the soothing wind blows in our minds
shaking our busy brains to rest
making worthwhile living in Africa
bare wind of our own making

Africa of the winkled hands
white teeth under shiny dark skin
gold hearts of marvellous flesh
many but just one
we are the soil on the ground

In the rivers life water flows
down the palm of savannahs there lived wildlife
green forests of all goodness
great wind of all bare brains
however Africa is a dark land of all

Apache Scalpel

I want to take a scalpel
And surgically remove countenance
I want to fire a chainsaw
And massacre fast food consciousness
Sever and slash rinky dink rememberance

If you want to honor the dead
Let's go dance on gravestones
Not forgetting the bodies lost in Vietnam jungles

I want to take a hatchet
And slice clean modern education
Remove all doubt
That this is not what knowledge is about

More to the point
Let's cut the electricity
Rewire the main hardware
Start over and begin from the beginning
Before Genesis colonized the mind
When pure babies lay in savannahs
And a bastion laid before our hands
Suddenly became awake

Happy Birthday Dad

Raise the flag and let it fly high
On every mouth of joy they cry
File unto the street with dance of many styles
This is a special day for a mankind

Raise the sword in the air for the hero
For he conquered in many battles yet without shedding a drop of blood
Three scores and one salutes to the warrior of the desert and forests
For he won his wars beyond the tropics, temperate and savannahs

He is the god that made me
The hand that molded me
The stone that grilled me
The iron that crushed me
Yet the furnace that refined me

Give it to the lion whose roar tamed the beast in me
I love the running waters whose splashes soothe and bath me clean
Blessed be the hands that helped heal my wounds.

He is a brickman who laid me and mount me up
He watched me set, rise and take a shape as I age
He helped correct my mistakes
He's a blessing to me even when he was in rage.

Those rags you wore in the farm as you clear the shrubs
Yet I rocked my sweet conductor style in the city
When the wasp stung and the stumps tore your feet
I cream my "Stella pomade" and laced up my "koko shoe"

I know you flogged me in rage
But the love behind it was never hidden. Just to correct the craze breeding in my rib cage
You list those fine textured hair on you
Just to raise heads fit for crowns _ The Ades.

Yes I know you aren't perfect
But you give your best as human
Yes I know you didn't built mansions
Yet you raised us for the future
You may think you aren't the best
But, when we count our blessings, we count you twice
You are worth more than a million prize

You have our eternal respect
And beyond the graves we vow to love you still

Happy birthday to my beloved father.
Mr. J A Oloye
I love you Dad.

Carcass of a Mammothrept

Honoured is our kin
fed with a sliver spoon
bred and reared in Elysium.
Swith is he, an ironic typhoean _
(he 'l be)- Our immerse hero..
So will he slump a thousand times
but not like a coward.
   I will tirelessly mull over
how long he lives
like a mammoth,
how great he'l emerge like pharaoh..
Tender is his flesh at the crematorium
who shall we laud, for this formidable feast.
   Welcome the vulnerable kin,
He who stole our sodden hearts.
Who will eep and give fibs?
He! the "vainglorious conqueror" _
Who will loot and share views?
He!
Who wears the prosperous attire?
He..
who rears the gluttonous martyrs?
He! He! He!
praise him Of great evil and flair.
glorify him Of great evil and fear he spares,
Our sardonic Adonis.
Tied are you to winter's wrappers
Harmattan you say is for Americanas
in the savannahs.. there you belong
you scoundrel!our disowned manhattanite,
we your kindreds heart you
'road model' for we yonder ones.
You undo and sojourn
we still value you
We pray you live longer
We pray you age agelessly
And work tirelessly
like a wall clock
When there is nothing left to seek
You know you have attained your peak
Then, pray to be like these carcasses
who takes nothing to heaven _But
good deeds that trades them paradise
away from hell fortressed from yeh
I praise you hence
Turn a new ...
Get a new lease on life

Nightlife

when the sun sets and the moon arises
the real things come with their dark surprises
lay low down and shut yor mouth
and wait for the wild things of the south

  Florida panther and the bear
seek the river as they share
savannahs filled with fern and blossom
watch the skink and skunk and 'possum

  delve below the surface mirror
peel your vision ever clearer
there's so much for y'all to see
be a tourist up a tree

not with gun nor bow and arrow
bring a camera,snap a sparrow
better yet go on a mission
out to use your best night vision

lay low down and shut yor mouth
and watch the wild things of the south
