Lies of a Loss

Going away,
I take one last look behind,
But I can't believe those precious days
Were never more than lies.
I'm locking all,
Burying my memories inside,
Maybe I've become so heartless,
But I'm leaving love behind.
I'm leaving you alone -
Figure out your lonesome life,
Answer all the questions yourself,
But don't drown in your lies.
Draw the dots above
All your letters "i" and live,
But you'll never know love
If only for love you can't forgive.
Swallow your last words -
I'm not interested in them;
In front of you is loneliness,
But you will blame yourself.
Candles are going out -
With them trust, devotion fade...
On your side were they illusions?
How could a heart pretend?
At the edge of hope
Watch my recent dreams come by,
I feel so empty and lonely -
Wonder if those dreams were mine.
Everything that's left
Is my life, inside it burns,
It's the greatest will to live
No matter how my road turns.
I'm still thankful for that flame,
I'll remember you for it,
I'll remember you for lies you told me
And then I believed...
Throwing to your face
My last hope, I leave...
