Premium Member His Love Restored Me

For Timothy Lee
I floundered, lost myself to then be found.
I shattered, broke as pieces to be glued.
His love restored me newly, wholly-bound.
No man have my emotions better viewed.

No love so warms my life as does his heart.
No face in smile could better stroke my joy,
or truer lover paint my soul deep art,
than brushes my man has at his employ.

When he is playful, I do romp in cheer.
When he is somber, I do listen best.
No matter his mood, he is my sweet dear.
No matter his need, he is my heart zest.

As warmth, he soothes away my daily aches.
As safety, he protects our love’s deep stakes.

We Will Be Restored

When our lives come crashing down
around us like a hurricane
the Lord will build us back up
and restore us once again
and as he picks us up piece by piece
all our hurt and pain he will release
he will melt us and mold us
and make us even stronger than before
and our broken lives he will restore. Amen

  ISA 57:18 I have seen his ways, but I will heal him;
I will guide him and restore comfort to him,

JER 30:17 But I will restore you to health
    and heal your wounds,'
        declares the LORD,

1PE 5:10 And the God of all Grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you
have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast
to him be the power forever and ever Amen.

DT 30 : 3
then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather
you again from all the nations where he scattered you. 4 Even if you have been banished to
the most distant land under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and
bring you back. 5 He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you will
take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers.

Rejoice At the Gift of Restored Health

Just a poetic (souper) side note courtesy chief
wordsmith brother unaware ye experienced grief

Gratis the miracle of modern medicine wife

who immersed her whole self as housewife.

How aware ill luck of the draw

Premium Member Confidence Restored

In the quiet solitude of evening I come before The Lord.
In the secrecy of my chambers I seek His presence.
It is here that I kneel before my Master and bare my soul.
Tough I fail Him time and again He will receive me.

Though I disappoint Him He will not reject me.
Though He chastises me He will not cast me out.
He will lift me up from the mire and set my feet upon firm ground.
He will wash away my sin and clothe me in a robe of righteousness.

With His right hand He reaches out to me.
With His left hand He holds my enemies at bay.
With His right hand He provides all that I need.
With His left hand He shelters me from the elements.

All this He promises me for He is a loving Father,
And I am His Child.

Faith In Humanity Restored!

Sweet silence of a Sunday morn,
The world of weekday chaos shorn,
Not even the honking of a horn
As traffic idled,
Held back by the arms of the Law,
Impelled to wait, with tempers raw,
Stewing in the sun's hot maw,
Impatience bridled.

And as I stood outside a shop,
Wondering why the world had stopped,
Out of the stillness came a "flop",
A sound so faint.
Repeated with a steady beat,
Approaching from the small side street,
Till into view, with flapping feet -
A sight so quaint -
Emerged a plodding mother duck,
Welded to her scrambling pack,
Never once e'en glancing back
To take a tally!
(Which baby duck would ever fail
To follow close on mother's tail
When upon the pilgrim trail,
Or dare to dally?)

A Moses on full purpose bent,
No glance to right or left she lent
As straight across the road she went,
To lead her brood
Down into the flowing stream,
Where ducks may swim and ducks may dream,
Safe from the ire and hissing steam
Of traffic queued.

And did she realize her luck
On reaching the promised land, Ma Duck?
That out of danger she'd been plucked,
By humans saved?
For some observant soul in sight
Had soon foreseen approaching plight
And brought the police upon the site
To part the waves!

Destroyed Restored

This is a part 2 poem. A continuation from a poem called
The Day The Running Stopped. A Bio.

The tennis racket crashed down upon him
A boy just two years old
His Grandfather came in and saved him
Before life became dark and cold.

The monster came again in third grade
Beaten for a failing grade at school
To young to even know what failing was
But now labeled as failure and a fool.

Another failure came in ninth grade
Though he tested with high IQ
But he had a belittled and tragic life at home
There was no motivation to pursue.

At sixteen depression captured his inner soul
He grabbed the shotgun to make it go away
But the monster burst in before the trigger clicked
And then there was more hell to pay.

He took drugs to escape the cold reality
To calm the nightmares that visited every night
And no matter how far in his mind he ran away
He could never find the light.

He ran back into his grandfather's arms
To the man who saved him as a child
He helped him cry his pain away
His loving touch so gentle and mild.

He found God one night when he had given up
For God never once gave up on him
He finally found purpose at 27 yrs old
When gods light made him alive again.

Restored

Protracted for your attention
Expected for a phone call
Broke down in tears
Jolt where things went awry
My emotions went mute
Silently built up animosity
My heart grew resentment

Realize hate turn into rage
Let down intrude into my quintessence
Prayed for forgiveness
Ask God to heal our bond
Held on to faith for reconciliation
Speechless when reunited
Felt like an hollow gap filled

Connection been restored
Alluring communication at peace
Passion of emotion bilateral
Dark resentful vacate my heart
My inner child been healed
My cosmos back functional

Caught up in a cloud to meet my Lord and Savior
As I look around me
I can hardly see my house now
Cause I have risen wow
Miles away I still pray as I soar up to the skies
There's a new home awaiting me ahh ahh ahhh ah
And I don't believe that the Lord would leave me here on this old earth
I repent of my sins because He brought me in
I walk thought heaven's gate, I celebrate;
Because He knocks at my heart so I opened the door and there He dwells
He shared all His love because He cares
With all so much I didn't no it was going to be like this
He shared so He cares so and His table not full
Give me His Spirit to help me choose the way
So I'll go His way, the right way
Give me His Spirit to help me choose lasting salvation so that I won't lose my life
And be stuck in this worldly foundation
I have no regrets I will rejoice
Rejoice
Of Him I have no regrets I will rejoice in Him
I am found in

Restored Was His Heart, Soul And Might
   (The Woodsman)

Hollow place in the woods most deep,
now unmolested by man or by beast.
Reserved for a wise visitor's return,
a promise he swore one day to keep,
when starry night holds a big feast!

Life called the woodsman far away,
into a war he was so sadly cast.
He simply had rushed to take his turn,
sacred duty in life he had to pay,
while praying it not to be his last.

Shell and shock had laid him so low,
laying in a hospital back East.
That vow was not forgotten by he,
April, time came for him there to go,
to partake in a moonlight feast!

Arriving back there with setting sun,
he trekked into forest all alone.
Returning king was this brave man,
a true woodsman and Nature's son,
above him glory of moonlight shone.

Found again the hollow so very deep,
his throne nestled, cozy and fine.
Moonlight and Nature did so conspire,
as he laid down to peacefully sleep,
to ease his tired and troubled mind!

Waking with the soft, wet morning dew,
this king greeted Nature and the day.
Smile that gave all there such delight,
so his life danced and began again anew,
restored was his heart, soul and might!

Hope Restored

My name is Shawn and I want to make that clear
It seems like I am no longer wanted around here
Washington state has done for me all it can do
Then I got a simple act of kindness from a guy like you
His name is Mike and he was once like me
And someone helped him out too just as he is doing for me
I needed a second chance at and to restart my life
I posted on Craigslist all about my fight
With life that seems to be so hard for me
And my depression that stirs up inside of me
I lost all my hope and prayed and prayed to the lord
Hoping to get on last chance that would be heard
I heard a voice one day say Billings Montana
Go there right away
But I did not have any money to buy a bus ticket there
And it all seemed like life would end here
Then Mike responded to my ad
He said that He would be glad
To help me out because he was there in life before
And someone else helped him out there for
He purchased my ticket and told me there ya go
I am glad to help you now you must go
I cried like a baby and my tears flowed
Do to a simple act of kindness that I was bestowed
I thank you Mike and will not forget
The act of kindness you did for me instead
Of turning your back and looking the other way
Helping a stranger out in his dismay
I just have six simple words to say to you
GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU

Premium Member The B M W Jalopy

In nineteen-eighty-five, so long ago,
a dark red B M W became
our son and wife's new car in Germany
while stationed there as Army officers.

Though many cars replaced it since that time,
the B M V remained with them
because their son eventually declared
he hoped it would become his car someday.

Fast forward to today- a dream come true;
the B M W antique lives on!
Through dedicated hours, he has restored
most everything to bring it back to new.

From motor, brakes, transmission, leather seats,
to all the chrome details outside and in,
new tires- and soon, a shiny bright paint job-
his project, done with love- the last two years.

The BMW exceeds his age-
about five years- but still its will to live
was met with our grandson's fine skills to give
new life to its jalopy heart again.

Premium Member Fully Restored

Your heart’s devastated; watching dreams
trickle away like the sands of time.
For after having loved an Angel,
betrayal has you feeling like slime.

Your naive heart was broken by lies,
and yet, lingering feelings persist.
But, exposed to reality's light,
shadows of love no longer exist.

You wade through oceans of emotions;
exploring the reasons for your pain.
But though love has abandoned your heart;
Hope and trust can bring it back again.

The winds of time fan passion's flame,
fueling fledgling fantasy dreams.
And in a heart hollowed out by doubt;
a glimmer of hope secretly gleams.

Dreaming of finding true happiness;
your faith in love isn’t fully restored.
And questioning fate, you seek answers
within feelings; yet to be explored.

Restored

I was so angry inside, and God said, "give your worries unto me."

A revalation, deviation, a strong hold on my will.
A clouded judgment, a bright idea, something had a hold of me.
I sifted through countless writing's, searched through every loophole.
Till I came upon one.

My testimony of faith, my willingness to forgive.
Bless my children of the father who art in heaven.
Bless all that has done me wrong, and the wrongs I have done to those and myself.
Take this ball of haze and strip me of this fear and guilt.

I came
 I saw
  I was
                     And still am

Your child.

A child of emotion, utter devotion
I slipped off the grid
Then I fell right back into your arms
The warning's came
and I heeded them not
You turned your back
and I understood.

When I was lost you brought me back
You scolded me for doing wrong
and you came back when I needed you most.

Thank you Father
For I once was blind,
but you have made me see.
That no grand illusion is greater then you
and no need can be filled here that you cannot handle yourself.
I lost my faith and you restored me unto my soul.

For this
  I am
   forever
    greatful.

Thank you.

Restored

Once faced with propositions I would rather not have done
I left the place that kept me bound
The life I chose, at last, the right one

A broken soul, a broken heart I kept hidden for so long
Lost hope, no dreams
Within myself it felt so wrong

To finally leave the past behind a new life at last to make
I made unto myself a vow
No more harsh words will my ears listen
No more wounds will my heart take
