I could see the virus approaching so why couldn't he?
But he had to keep investors happy and save the economy
On his watch people in their thousands, died needlessly
The U.K. had a spiralling death rate, a preventable tragedy.
He didn't listen to the top scientists, they have said so
I hope he doesn't try and deny it and say he didn't know
Care home residents from hospitals sent home to die
A ring of steel around the vulnerable, seems that was a lie.
Denials and lies seems to be a politicians stock in trade
Many have looked on in horror at the decisions he's made
Lockdowns were implemented but sadly too late
While the virus was spreading at an alarming rate.
He said " no more lockdowns, let the bodies pile high"
His advisor said he said it and of course he'll deny
The Bereaved Families for Justice, want a public enquiry
A waste of taxpayers money because he governs with impunity.
He stood in his doorway clapping with a smile on his face
What he offered the NHS 'heroes' is nothing short of a disgrace
They were offered a paltry rise of a measly one percent
Many put themselves at risk and are now struggling to pay rent.
These pandemics are nothing new and this one won't be the last
It's a shame that he and other leaders didn't learn from the past
Politicians are sparse with the truth, and they often deceive
But please make up your own mind on who you want to believe.

An old man looking out his door,
gaze fixed on a distant shore,
reminiscing to a time, not of happiness,
or, the prospect of a bright future,
to when he was sick to his very core,
to when as a youth, he went to war
A time before infallibility had meaning,
patriotism and bravado the craze,
the future was still unknown,
vigor for life at its all time high,
a time for romance, partying, buying,
no thought of pain, deformity, dying
Too young to understand or question,
ship to foreign shore, medals abound,
will impress the girls next time in town,
sacrifice not temporary,
forever more,
a legacy etched into a wall, few will remember,
flesh shredded, burned, torn,
families mourn
A time, when he willingly went to war,
will happen no more,
all lost in youth, now unrelenting,
no blind obedience,
minimal risk,
long life, his number one ambition
As he turns back from the door,
he thinks of the youth,
here now, soon no more,
lessons never learned,
the call to war,
to common the roar,
complacency the mood,
another generation removed
The old man agonizes
over what was originally not known,
war is preventable,
life too precious to waste,
the solution simple,
his vision, maybe too late
Send old men to the front to fight,
arthritis, heart disease, poor eyesight,
let the youth enjoy their life,
his near over, its only right
Send old men, to the front, to fight
ask them to give up their life,
patriotism and bravado, still alive,
will and desire would not last the night,
old men do not rush to death in their twilight,
failure inevitable, the old man smiles,
knows he's right
Wars not possible,
if old men, are sent to fight

I am dreaming the past
Past when KBC was the only station
Each morning started with the anthem of the nation
We had to know your intention
Before saying anything through the station
Each anchor had a level of education
While talent was just an addition
Any deviation
Captured the important attention
Of the head of the nation
Dreaming my past
Is all I want to do last
Streams of dreams I rather forget fast
Like dreams from my father
That choices have consequences
A grammatical sentence that became our sentence
Is every correctly stated statement correct?
This kind that litters my mind
Making me bitter
Tearing my heart into litres of tears
These dreams make me shy
Shy to try mention my name
My name that brings me shame
Shame I cant tame
Cant tame because my mind is lame
Tell me why my kind cant cry
When all I dream are tongues of fire
From gangs on hire
With orders from higher
Higher rot that burns like fire.
Dreaming that I cant have money in my pocket
Without getting something in their jacket
Vampires so scary
Scattered in my neighborhood
Thirsty for the last drop of my blood
Limiting my limitless potential
Potential so essential
For resource mobilization
With equal allocation not hurting expectation
For relocation before suffocation.
Dreams to revitalize my generation
A possible solution for this situation
In transformation of my nation
To grow without corruption
That is like sugar
Sweeter it becomes
And disaster it welcomes
But I dare dreams
Of peaceful elections
An end to preventable infections
Through certified injections
And an education without leakage
As a privilege
For everyone in my village
Laying my head on the pillow
Feels like my heart becomes hollow
From the beams of dreams that follow
Makes me want to jump from the window
And fall on the ground so low
Flickering pain into my bone marrow
Afraid it could happen again on the morrow
What do you see in your dreams?
Streams of dreams that my head cant keep
Make me wish for beams of dreams to turn the leaf
Of people who have a resolve and a belief
That we are better together
And we need each other
Without a bother
Of clannism
Of tribalism
Of racism
But a nation of inclusion
By implementation of all legislation
In word and spirit
Envisioned in our constitution
That beams our dream.

"Dress Warmly" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".
Dress, dress, dress warmly-
It's a winter's day.
Wear your hat, your coat, your mittens, too
When you go out to play!
Bonus activity: Explain to children that the dangers of frostbite (frozen skin tissue)
and hypothermia (lowering of the body temperature) are real yet preventable by
dressing warmly and using good judgment in cold weather. Remind children to limit
their playtime outside when it's very cold.

Shopping day today and my supplies are low.
I plan on inviting everyone to a cook out
so I better make a list of what I will need.
I will need tolerance – sure I have some, but
there will be many showing up and I doubt
they will bring their own – for my crowd
will be many and varied.
Humor, humor, humor. I had better stock
up on that. If these people don’t
just get over themselves
and learn to take a joke, then I’m afraid
they are in for lots of very preventable aggravation.
Common sense. Now, I know it’s not
the most sought out hors d oeuvre , but
it is the most important. If more people would
help themselves to generous helpings of
common sense,
I do believe things would be much easier.
Some charm, civility, manners – good God, yes –
intelligence wouldn’t hurt, and we could
have us a real good time.
Unfortunately,
most people like to pig out on the
jealousy, envy, pride, prejudice on the
other tables. Scoop me some helpings of
rudeness, guile, back stabbing and pity while
you’re at it.
But, not at my cook out.
You only get served tolerance, humor, common sense,
charm, civility, manners, intelligence …
Come join me, but be prepared to join in.

“ It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society ”
J. Krishnamurti
1% of the world’s population owns 40% of the planets wealth
34000 children die everyday from poverty and preventable diseases
50% of the world’s population lives on less than $2.00 a day
Only 3% of the U.S.A’s wealth actually exists as money the other 97% is digital
$1.00 in 1913 required $21.60 in 2007 to match its value; that is a 96% devaluation in 94
years since the Federal reserve came into existence
“ If there were no debts in our money system there wouldn’t be any money ”
Marriner Eccles Governor of The Federal Reserve 1941
Perpetual debt is guaranteed by the Federal Bank
Money was created in the Banking system and ultimately returns to the Banking system with
interest. Who are you working for, none other than The Banks. This is Economic slavery.
What life is there without money, when everyone must feed and house and care for
themselves we become wage slaves. Money is the most ingenious scam for social manipulation
ever created.
The majority of people in the United States have no idea that they are living off the
benefits of a clandestine empire; that today there is more slavery in the world than ever
before. The un-elected leaders of this empire are the giant corporations, the invisible
powers behind the controlling force of money. Their goal is to maximise profits regardless
of the social and environmental cost. The two largest of these corporations are, The
International Monetary Fund and The World Bank. Poor countries who’s governments have
initially welcomed the help of these corporations are now paying back debts that exceed
50% of their countries wealth. Leading to mass poverty in these countries.
There are 51 giant corporations in the world 47 of which are American.
Something is very wrong here

My eyelids droop my head begins to nod
I am struggling hard to stay awake
On a long drive in the pouring rain
I feel I am being hypnotized
I am struggling hard to stay awake
I turn the air conditioning on full blast
I feel like I am being hypnotized
I will just close my eyes for a moment
I turn the air conditioning on full blast
Taking my hand off the wheel I slap my face
I will just close my eyes for a moment
As my car drifts I awake with a start
Taking my hand off the wheel I slap my face
I must be mad yet I need to get home
As my car drifts I awake with a start
I am no longer traveling on the road
I must be mad yet I need to get home
The car is now beyond my control
I am no longer traveling on the road
In this moment there are no more choices
The car is now beyond my control
On a long drive in the pouring rain
In this moment there are no more choices
My eyelids droop my head begins to nod
On a long drive in the pouring rain
My life blood pours from my veins
My eyelids droop my head begins to nod
My life slowly yet quickly ebbs away

Among so many rocks and leafs
As well as animals that squawk or squeak
Talk is cheap
Many things considered a dime a dozen
Like limes and onions
You're either with or against the clock
Whether it is continually making sense or not
At times it can all truly
Be quite the doozy
Frustrated with seeing cruelty
And people acting unruly
Along the way
Is it wrong to say?
Every dog has it's day
They can make glass from sand
So much became a flash in the pan
Whether or not there ended up being any cash in hand
With my own flesh and blood
I express my love
While I step and trudge
Through different depths of mud
Haste makes waste
Across this place in space
You may or may not have your while life ahead of you
Just remember idle hands are the devil's tools
Near and far from special sentimental jewels
Realize there have been many kinds of metals used
Near and far from different sea levels and pools
The outcome may have been preventable
If such things weren't placed on a pedestal

I just don't get it experts say diabetes in kids don't respond to meds or insulin. They admits diabetes is preventable and curable by eating better. Explaining that sugary drinks like sodas should be remove from schools to help our kids. So what do they say will solve the problem? Tax on the sugary culprit that's making these kids sick.
I simply can't see the logic in charging a food tax on soft drinks and foods causing this disease. If there's snakes on the plane that's killing the passengers you don't charge a tax to end the suffering. You remove the snakes.
Experts found that diabetes is a diet, nutritious, lifestyle disease. We simply need to eat right. Our young diabetics is having strokes at án early age. They are having fatal heart attacks by age 20.
The thing to do is turn the (weapons) non nutritious foods into (plow shears) food that make well, instead of charging a tax on foods that kill overtime while healthy foods that's more costly gets passed over, out of reach for those unable to pay more.
If those most effected can't afford the cost of a healthy diet how are they to afford the cost of a unhealthy diet. They will be forced to continue eating unhealthy just paying more to do so. I simply don't see the logic.
I just don't get it, but I do get it.
Money is the root strengthing the thinking behind this logic to charge a tax on foods that kills rather than cease the manufacturing of this poisons for monetary gains.
We see this same logic in cigarette taxes. Instead of eliminating the nicotine that's causing the cancers, they charge smokers a tax to smoke their cancer sticks. Smokers continue to smoke eventhough cigarettes are costly. I admit anti smoking campaigns and advertisings has worked decreasing the percentage of cigarette smokers from the glory days of "its cool to be a smoker" back in the 1940's and 60's to the smokers of today. Still today new smokers jump on the smoke wagon at an early age.
So problem solved? I don't see the logic, but I do.

Blank verse
I entertained.....am guilty
I can be mean, mine comes with the depth of the attachment
Am such a b...., the b word with its five little devils
Oh my God
Now I pay the price, it's an expensive one
It may cost me many years
The thought of seeing another woman cry, breaks me
The heart break of another, that may have been my own doing, kills me
No more running, its all chaotic now
No medicine can heal the damage caused
No cure can reverse, that preventable mess
This prideful heart comes into terms,
That forgiveness is the only way

Like a spell with no remedy
The strong movement of the wind
Accosted by volcanic ceaseless water
Stuck and struck endlessly
It held grip to all that ever
Existed in New Orleans
It reminded me of the
Beginning when the earth was
Without form with void and
Darkness dancing upon
The face of the deep
Katrina did jogged my memory
Fifty of thousands were
Hurriedly caned by Katrina
Katrina the Armageddon lover of Rita
The pump ‘pumpeth’ not the water
The levels refused to be increased
Expect for levels and water
Of calamity and catastrophe
The bush judge gave out a
Blank cheque of cut in social spending
All to no one but Katrina
They refuse to manage the emergency
Came knocking the chilly insurgency
Thousands died like fowls
By the avarice of the Bush fowl
Whose feckless sprinkles only foul
As innocent people were fouled
In a preventable surge of Katrina
The National Guards meant to save lives
Had been forcefully ‘hurricaned’ to Iraq
In a ‘Kill for Oil’war of the fiendish
As they “Kill for Oil” in Far East
Katrina hurriedly caned our
Kinsmen in Arizona
As the mad drive for profit and surplus
Pervades the system everywhere
It hovers on us the more
That the structure places us nowhere
Unless we are determined to change it now.
We will never get to somewhere
Where we can quench our thirst for hungers

“It's not that we cant see the solution; it's that we cant see the problem” - G.K. Chesterton
It's all so crazy
The perception of our society
Are we blind; are we ignorant?
Perhaps what will be, will be
It's not that we can’t see the solution
It seems so obvious - so clear
But when you look beneath the surface
The reality - I think that's what we really fear
We think that food is a problem
With obesity at an all time high
The truth - obesity Is a symptom
Yet, we continually close our eyes
Over half of America
Is over weight or obese
It's the leading cause of preventable deaths
However; it's not what we eat
It's what's eating us
During our days and our nights
Its the voice in our head
That tells us things aren't quite right
Food doesn't kill people
It's similar to gun control
30,000 violent deaths per year
I bet here's a fact you don't know
Of the 30,000 violent deaths
18,000 are suicides
You're right - guns do kill people
But we never ask people why they want to die
The solutions may seem clear
But stress, anxiety, and fear still remains
It's not food or the guns
That elicit the majority of life's pain
So let's have a drink
That will help us to relax and unwind
Here, have another
It's a sophisticated red wine
According to a National Survey
86 percent reportedly drink
26 percent binge
That's a lot don't you think?
An estimated 88,000 people
Die from alcohol-related causes per year
It's the third leading preventable cause of death in the United States
The solution? - address, don't try to drink away what you fear
So what's the real problem?
Here, I'll take the sacrificial dive
I'll use logic and reason
A method we use in other areas of our lives
It's not eating or drinking
That’s causing our pain
In modernity
It's the mental health of our brain
It's what we value
It's who we choose to idolize
It's the trivially matters
The distorted sense of self we despise
When we learn to face facts
Prioritize what we do
When we value virtue
Compassion manifest - love will carry us through
We’ll choose take smaller bites
Have one drink to unwind
We’ll have a gun for protection
Moderation - the Golden rule still applies
It's not that we can’t see the problem
It’s that we won't look at the disease
The solution?
Address mental health - please

Guilt haunts me to this day;
Your sad face is melted to my brain.
The echo of conversations...
I could have eased your pain.
Your body was once so strong,
but now, against God's will,
with dried tears stained upon your cheeks,
you'll lie forever, cold and still.

Our planet cries, as the weak and oppressed, pay a price for wealth to rise,
we pollute and consume, while we seal our doom
but power is blind to see, what the scope of the crime will eventually
lead to a preventable catastrophe
The answers I fear, are too obvious and clear
but will never be realized, by the politically paralyzed
where there is no profit, to come from it, the leaders will not see fit
to fix what has already been done
We sacrifice our souls, for reasons no one knows, and work for the greater good
we are never sure why, as our victims die, never told if we should try
stop and stare, or rally to care, one planet to share, without our help will no longer be there
should this not be enough
Dollars and cents, the lower class repents, for the sins of the powers that lead
we all do the work, to cultivate not shirk, the responsibilities to ensure that we all succeed

At similar and different degrees
Animals, humans, and objects proceed
At lower and higher speeds
By the land and sea
Near many trees
Bearing fruit, or mainly leaves
Far too many display greed
Being naive, with intentions that deceive
And mislead
I believe
Indeed
I'll succeed
And achieve
While following through on deeds
As I aim to exceed
Burned, dug and pulled weeds
Some of which got cleaved
And eventually heaved
Into a orderly pile before, after or during the eve
Pollen in the breeze
Causing those allergic to sneeze
Near and far from hives of bees
Some pray on their knees
In the midst of Summer heat or Winters freeze
Evidence and other items getting seized
Some but not all could be got back through paying fees
What was difficult for many, may have been done by others with ease
Regardless of if they have prestige
A vast amount of cuisines
With greens
And or meats, some of which considered lean
Either following or breaking the creed
In the midst of, or behind the scenes
Handmade crafts and figurines
And others created by machines
Instead of charging in with a head full of steam
Better think and heed
While trying to grasp what it means
Do you agree or disagree
That is not all that it seems?
Areas with weather considered extreme
Occasionally turning things into smithereens
Another night where I didn't dream
Whether I did or didn't fall asleep in front of a screen
Can the soul be redeemed
Despite there being no guarantee
Finished tasks solo or in a team
Above and below terrain having ravines
Dirtied up, scuffed and cut my jeans
The same could be said for my sleeves
Not yet have I had mead
Or paid for a limousine
Close and beyond places known for the occasional stampede
Could it have been preventable with vaccines
For afflictions and disease
Above and below streams
As well as submarines
However this all may be deemed
There is no hidden strings or schemes
It is good to read
Brain, body, soul and spirit need to feed
Intervene
Got to switch up the same old routines
And reign supreme
