Kingdom of Ruin

Rising from the desert sand
was a shimmering mirage
of a thousand shouts
	Heated winds of fanaticism,
	intense and blowing violently loud
Shrill calls to blood prayer seethe,
breathing fiery invocations
of a perverted philosophy
Screaming death to the infidels —
a scarlet smeared mirror reflecting
black cloth covered savagery
Crimson prayers are the daubed untempered mortar
which cements the foundation of this shakily rising kingdom
Whet the glittering scimitar swung grisly:
	Beheadings are the blade’s
	propaganda recruitment shock TV
Desert crisis ... dreaded carrion claws of ISIS,
oasis mirage bathe the sociopaths in bloody bliss
Mutilated bodies floating upon the desert sea,
a raised dark flag boasts of a fleeting victory
Prideful utterances of unspeakable barbarity
	Contemned caliphate mercurial rising ...
now descending quickly below the horizon
Crumbling desert kingdom,
butchery sow the seeds of your ruin
The sand castle rise to power was ever so brief,
a pirated religion kingdom soon to end suddenly
Taking hostage your own faith,
now the proselyte guards are
fleeing from the palace carnage
	Crumbling desert kingdom,
butchery sow the seeds of your ruin
Innocent blood spilled in the sand
will be your caliphate’s undoing
	Crumbling desert kingdom,
blood reap the harvest of your ruin
Let your prophets of terror and rage
shout a false sanctum call to prayer
Intoning not this one truth: God will surely repay!

Beyond the Lantern Light

'Twas a fortnight fraught with tainted stars;
'Midst mournful tears salting Neptune's sea.
A withered lass swallows internal scars,
'Twixt purist passions removed from thee.

Thoust bravest beloved her soul kept dear;
A buccaneer's quest sculpting pirated pride:
"Seizing Zeus' crown 'neath Poseidon's bier;
A jewel I'll bequeath to thine waiting bride."

Lantern lights flicker past sheltered shores.
Naked thee writhes; nary a vow to don.
Rest not the rues grieved 'pon garish moors -
Whilst honored prayers of thou beau breathes non.

Replete in requiem; Thalassa exhales,
Thine darkened omens proclaimed by thee.
Dying the deaths of thoust betrothed prevails;
Whilst unheard novenas abandons she.

A fortnight chills and the stars grow dim;
Neptune's waters heal whilst God's fingers burn.
A comely maiden torches thy heart for him -
In hope thine's glow reflects lost love's return.

England My England

England my England sets standards anew
Coveted ideals drooled over by hordes
an empire elated shall forever be true

Gilded by conquest stronger men knew
The Romans Saxons Vikings and Nords
England my England sets standards anew

Perched on red charabanc tourism grew
Drinking fine history of ladies and lords
an empire elated shall forever be true

England is England where all blood is blue
Timeless memory through poetic chords
England my England sets standards anew

Traditions so loyal old mingle with new
Pirated treasures kept still in their hoards
an empire elated shall forever be true

England my English country right through
of contrasting pageantry given by wards
England my England sets standards anew
an empire elated shall forever be true

Prayers descend like acid rain from
oligarch-soaked manchurians, stumping
for elected office, praising hybrid
demigods, passing out vouchers to the
peasants.

A slow rumbling-
 part of the night-sounds-of-curfew;
descends like fire ants.

Cleaners of the guilt, hidden in plain faith,
unable or unwilling to walk, feign
blindness, darkness helps.

Cellphone towers only reflect scripted
light, as memories of real sunshine, fade
to black. A good cup of coffee is hard to
find, all the fine beans were swept away
early on, replaced by dancing bears,
politely ignored. Thunderclouds, imagined
in shapes of our founding fathers,
encourage the deluge, slowly ascending.

Underground-
   a grim band-of-believers watch (again)
a pirated tape of their favorite '80's movie,
'They Live' from the fabled city called the
new capital in 'The Postman' Minneapolis..
while the tormented sounds of-

     plows
scraping overhead, and
 hydrants,
bellys full, feeding power washers,
cascade
over hardened
faces.

Love Poem

Why I wait for rain to hug you
Why I wait for a special day to hold you
Why I wait for night to kiss you
My love doesn't depend on occasion
I want to love you all the time
Thousands pirated laughters
Thousands impair nourishes
Made some misunderstandings
Now the time has changed
All the promises will come true
Hopefully you will smile again
No one will come between us
You will be mine
And I will be yours

Unite Africa

In ages past we sent letters to Freedom
With tattered inks on our dirty page,
The letters returned with beaming smiles,
Raising up flowers through our dried stem.

Back then, we warred against Principalities,
Now we war against ourselves on same shelve;
Siblings against siblings in African-made rings,
Drinking blood from the burnt through our local fire.

Look, we now have pirated Blacks within our walls,
Scary to our children, marrying our wives.
We throw stones on each other's doors,
Pointing black fingers to a black skin.

Let's rise on our feet not for a feast,
Let's weave colors to make our rainbow,
Let's beat not drums made from human skin,
Let's rise and display our heights.

Let the lamp of Love dance upon the pyramids of Egypt,
Revealing Mountain Kilimanjaro in Tanzania,
Through the rock of Olumo in Nigeria,
Warming the greenness of South Africa's Canyon.
.
Africa unite!

Trilling Tray

Trilling Tray (Limerick)

Parrots have men in the palm of their hands
Through the pirated palimpsest that is from man's land
There is no point getting into panic about the tall story
Touch me if it is a wild and wacky story
But if it is worthwhile to the core, (then) hold my hands.

Thank God I Found You

Our world’s vacuum of a better half I thought
My search of universe reveals that
When price couples exchange is tears
Mime of the shadow’s image of pirated love at alter
Then I mourn the death of love
Then I mourn lovers that never find love

Now that all hope lost in search
At the verge of returning seal to the sealer
You sneak in through the hole of my needle
Then you let me in to the hidden love that I crave for

Karmic Arrest

KARMIC ARREST

Relentless force; abiding ripper of time
Ceasing moments to effect its consequences
The time keeper that over-regulates time; no mistakes
Spoken of about its witnessed and un-witnessed unspoken acts
After the rain come sunshine; mystified cause and effect
What you sow, so shall you reap.

What goes around comes around
Threatening phrase of karma; zigzagged warning
All these I saw, heard, and witnessed overtime
Still, none of it could change my unflinching iniquitous act
Conscious that it will happen; just a matter of when?
Eventually, it happened at time most suitable for karma.

It happened as it has always been happening
In moments when I have forgotten about my un-forgiven sins
As the ocean current kept my pirated ship sailing
Sailing to an unknown destination that only fate knows
In that moment when I ignored all other obstacles of the ocean
Little did I know that an ice lies in front just as fate has planned
In split seconds it happened; karmic arrest...

Birthed

Fail not, Time and season
Secretly, my ward faded
With unflinching fire attack

Want to speak
Don't want to confess
As Diamond and Gold tripe
Cloud the sky of my heart
I'm lost and scared to be found

Ouch, my heart got pirated
I began to trod in incur clat
The evening of me become blurry
I'm the Lion with the snail mind
My confidence weathered

Time and season waited in my closet
But I kept them wasted
I took the tick of time for illusion
As I journey with failure as companion
To get burnt on the way

Nothing more to fear
My heart has embraced it sore
The world seems lonely
Only for me to stand boldly
To see the new dawn, flowing
Through a new lucid

Pirated Words

I stole this poem
with cutlass and eyes
words lusted and trusted
so I took of this prize

it's chests of golden
it's flashing jeweled verbs
and left letters worthless
to be picked by the birds

sailing 'cross bleached pages
under azure blue skies
I stole of my own life
and took what implies

existence on dangerous sees
to the edge of the earth and
boarded keyboard south of the keys
taking every word of worth

pillaging the hapless literati
demanding chains and trinkets
relieving authors boasting haughty
of bootied lines me think it's

better to hold to bright sun
to see glint in the daylight
some pirated pentameter outdone
without sword of pen to fight

so hang me dashed by a yardarm
an' tell lies of me glories
whilst takin' maidens in arm
regaling wild legended stories

but, me matey, ye'd better beware
of plagiarists fast on your tale
'cross oceans of notions they dare
pirate your own words to unveil

to their own laughing lasses and crew
drinking and toasting remembrance of you
what's a pirating plagiarist to do?
- but pirate a poem out of the blue

aaarrgh matey -
I'll be takin' them lines now...

Pirates

Creaking shadows, creeping over fettered floors
Shattered suspicion, silence cutting jagged scores
Preening portraits, conspicuously hung in full view
Callous hands, bleeding memories which do accrue

Adagio movements, nigh nocturnes of orchestrated harm
Prowling predators, facetious footsteps which do not alarm
Opulent treasures, gaily gleaming behind double doors
Pirated stars, surreptitiously swept off to foreign shores

Going Back

I dreamed I was a boy once more
and the world was still a wonder.
Each day’s sights opened a door
whence the rain, why the thunder?

Under rocks I spied frizzy things
that scattered at my intrusion
Black and grey, some with wings
they seemed a frightful illusion.

I thought grown-ups were all wise
they had answers for every quiz.
Out of my dream it was a surprise
learning they didn't know all that is.

I hope I dream that dream once more
to live again in a world of wonder.
There’s certain to be more in store
of spies, lies, and pirated plunder.

Cubed

Walking on mines and mirrors,
Glass like glitter falling up,
Marking flesh memorable scars,
If not for remembrance less known,
About self and selflessness,
Yet to come or yet to see,
A shard of a moment of a time,
Once flashing, now glancing,
Into a beauty too far gone,
As if this stroll isn't perilous enough,
The mockery and heckling is,
With careful step avoid the cracks,
Only the be blasted by one another else,
It's more than just an emotion,
Or a simple way to feel,
Honestly, I am far too complex,
And some puzzles need solving,
But you certainly won't figure me out,
Even I struggle with finding answers,
I can love or lust or hate,
Perhaps just stare into what,
Nothing or something,
Boxed into a pirated moment,
Stolen from anyone, someone, you,
I won't just break, sorry,
I know that's what you wanted,
What you all wanted from the start,
And I won't just break,
There are just too many reasons,
I won't back down or fall,
I'm not going away, now or ever,
If I die I'll leave my legacy to haunt you,
Like gale winds howl your name on autumn,
Just more apparent, less ethereal,
I'm not who you think I am,
And I will fight back, more, always,
I have... Things... To protect now,
I am more than the sum of my self,
Part and pieces lonely,
Gathered up apart but complete,
And though I may sulk, often,
I still have a dream or a goal to live by,
And I don't need you to reach it.
