Stormy Lover

Sleeping sound. Warm and dry.
A pitter patter song woke me this night,
Tapping on my window, with a longing sigh.
My lovers arms await for an embrace so tight.

I pull my shawl close around,
As need grows with each stair I descend.
Reaching the door, all fears are drowned,
Pulling it wide with want so wild, so sudden.

Running out I'm met with my lovers tears.
Tears of joy and love and care raining down,
Waltzing through I loose myself as dawn nears,
It is too soon that the sun rises to claim it's crown.

Peaceful

My soul set afire with rage, your eyes quell this hunger.
The emotion seeps away like a wave, pulling my soul asunder.
Only peace I will ever find, is hiding deep within your eyes.
My soul will never shine, the peace within me have died.

A longing touch, an embrace, a lingering kiss
A hardened slap, a bitter tear, a closed fist

Peaceful….a wild emotion of fulfillment
Peaceful….setting the world on fire
Peaceful….a hardened will is bent
Peaceful….my heart feels stuck in a mire.
