Stormy Lover

Sleeping sound. Warm and dry.
A pitter patter song woke me this night,
Tapping on my window, with a longing sigh.
My lovers arms await for an embrace so tight.

I pull my shawl close around,
As need grows with each stair I descend.
Reaching the door, all fears are drowned,
Pulling it wide with want so wild, so sudden.

Running out I'm met with my lovers tears.
Tears of joy and love and care raining down,
Waltzing through I loose myself as dawn nears,
It is too soon that the sun rises to claim it's crown.

Romantic write! I love poetry! The words flow to the soul and take you to places that are otherwise impossible to get to! This is so beautiful! Smiles from Lolita
