The House that Sits Right Here
There is a house in Tennessee that sits on land so grand
With rolling hills and daffodils and greenery all around
Reason's I'd like to be there in a surrounding so serene
Is the peace and quiet I will find in the soft, warm, gentle breeze
A breeze that blows sweet honey suckle perfume into the air
And tempts the child within my heart to pluck one resting there
So I approach the vine carefully moving on quiet feet
And with cautious fingers, one I pick and taste its necter oh so sweet
In the distance I see the hawk that flies above so high
His wing span spreading oh so wide as his red tail dots the sky
And the sky is such an alluring blue that I have to squint my eyes
With cotton clouds that drift along, over the hill's steep rise
The dusk moves in gracefully as the sun sinks over the hill
Turning the sky to a bright, orange glow as the shadows do creep in
Within the light that lingers I spy approaching deer
As they wander down to lick the salt I left there in the field
Darkness has taken over with its bright stars up above
Splendor of trillions splashed against a dark canvas sky
Gives wonder for me to think of God's adoration for all
How unconditionally, with great abundance He gives to each of us
Well, the air is getting chilly and it is time to build a fire
As we join hands go inside my heart fills with sweet desire
With you beside me so alive, I know not any fear
As we retire inside a house, the house that sits right here

I saw you today and it really was nice
Especially when you kissed me more than twice!
To feel your lips as they were touching mine
Made me crazy but that was fine
As I touched your skin I began to tremble
I knew then that leaving your side wouldn’t be simple
The heat between us was more than I could bare
I wanted to make love to you standing right there
You said that you had things you needed to do
You told me to come by the house in a few
So we kissed for a little while and it really felt good
Then you said you must go; you said you really should
You went your way and I went mine
I just went crazy trying to pass the time
Next thing I knew when I looked at my watch
It was finally nearing six o’clock
I drove to your house and what did I see?
You were just pulling in ahead of me.
I got excited knowing I’d soon be in your arms
A place I feel loved and safe from harm
We fell into each other’s loving eyes
What happened next came as no surprise
We kissed for a little while and then we made love
Once again I was trembling from your touch
We got up and we got dressed to go
Why do we have to leave, I wish it weren’t so
We belong together sharing our love
Leaving each other sometimes is tough
Then you got in your car and I got in mine
Holding you again would have to be done another time
I drove away from your place
Feeling warm inside with a smile on my face
I’m thankful for that special time
I was in your arms and you were in mine
Even if it was only for a little while
During that time I was able to smile
