books in my eyes hoping

while others partake of tradition
I will bring cheese
summer sausage, and wine

Tan flesh, short cropped nails and
Overlapping cuticles--an old hand--
A buxom hand--a hand delighted to treat.

Words, numerously luxuriate on holey
Crimpled sheets.

Words astonishing and boon
Words effulgent and true
