A Narrow Escape In the Coffee Shop
In the coffee shop
A mistimed twist
By the barista
Caused a hissing
Coffee jet to
Ballista towards
My sister and I
Worried it would
Hit her wrist and
Give her a blister,
But fortunately
It missed her.

The manager scolded
The ham-fisted barista,
But since no-one was scalded,
He didn’t dismiss her....

GOODLUCK

Gutless muffled monarch wooed millions to the poll,
Our feeble lord enforced by pathetic speech of poverty (I once had no shoes)
On congruent grounds of pain we forced him, though we hated his coterie.
Disappointed, we wail waiting surrogate to lead to unending journey...

My Hardship-1
Nothing in my life has ever been anything like this.
When I started my company it was nothing but bliss.
I invented a company called “The Edit Centre”
Back in ’86, I was quite the inventor.

The business model was to transfer movie film and edit videos
So family memories...

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Sun Bathe
From beaming yellow,
To violent red,
Skin peels like the pages of a book of some unloved fate,
Groaning under the flow of the mistimed shower,
Both optimistic and naive,
Grass blades pierce like shards of shimmering glass,
As i lay.

The humm of a hidden chorus in the green soothes my...

Moods oscillate in cadences of peaks and valleys
Music to fractious emotions on greasy dance floors
Mistimed cues of flares smouldering relationships

Angst of redundancy seethes from within as lava
Anger is camouflaged with the cloak of reticence
Ardour suffocated with the noose of indifference

Cataracts of devotion flows from the...

Warrior Wombs
Warrior Wombs
(for Sandy and the loss of our first grandson)
By Joyce Teed
2/8/17

Warrior Wombs
Every woman
Has an untold story
A secret
Untold
Or unseen
Her story
Includes
Silent sorrows
Wounds with no words
Winding through the untold
History of all women
Empty wombs
Miscarriages
Mistimed pregnancies
Unwanted babies
Wanted babies
wished for babies
babies without a heartbeat
Nature’s
way
Of weeding out
The mistakes

A...

The carnage was brutal; I’ll tell you no lies.
The carcasses lay all over the ground.
The devil incarnate, thinly disguised.
Exposed in the open, relief not around.

Relentless, unceasing, no mercy was shown;
They pressed for advantage where one could be found.
They flew kamikaze, not acting alone,
With emerald green...

Do you want to be a member of the 27 club? - When one asks,
Like snakes hidden beneath leaves - dying at 27 - its grim face masks;
Gifted, skilled, artistic and masterly are its members,
Musicians, stars, celebrities... all gold gone through embers...!

Robert Leroy Johnson,...

Shambles To Glory To Shambles
Noire,greenish and poisonous,
cold freezing,
in heaps,
incoherent and sad,
in flakes that were shambles,
she was an emotional wreck,
some black african mamba had bitten,
and bitten deep in,
soul had been torn,
and faith was tattered and worn,
she was at mercy of HIM,
seeking succour and relief,
forlorn and gone,
she had none.

I happened by...

GOODLUCK

Gutless muffled monarch wooed millions to the poll,
Oozing pathetic speech of poverty (I once had no shoes)
On congruent grounds we let him, though we hated his coterie.
Disappointed, we wail, waiting substitute to end the reign of quack
Lacklustre, insipid and a pervading naivety....

Deep Freeze
the crunching of frozen leaves
loud at each carefully mistimed step
tells the occasional small sentinels
birds squirrels and small creatures
a larger being is coming through
their alarm filters through ahead
novice woodsmen use bare ground
disturbing less birds alarming more prey
the cold penetrates the wooly layers
sinking into rib bones...

Dream Says Russell
Lukewarm Dream,

The ideal,
lucious, curvacious lady,
of the dream,
is temtress unreachable,
midst the steam,
hunger burns so bright,
the pressure of the rigid digit,
unbelievable,
damn,
she's drifting outa sight ...

Don Johnson

Hot Dreams,
the entertainment of the sensual,
subconcious unpaid rental,
the almost intercourse,
shattering remorse,
mistimed instrumental,
disturbing,
fell off me hobby horse.......

Eclipse

Be gone!  Be gone!  Foul evil beast;
This is not my place of reckoning.
The guardians of light stand at my side
And death is not yet beckoning.

In foulest stench, I see you drenched,
In blood; I see you dripping.
But I am not for the taking yet;
I...

There lived this kind, gentle poet who rhymed
Her verses and jingles were so well-timed
Then she tried simple free verse
Lines that would’ve made saints curse
Poetry formed with writing so mistimed
