' He's Company ... '

‘ He’s Company ! … ’

He’s Not Down With Misery
and Not Out with The In(flated)-Crowds
But He’s Up On Lady Liberty …
Laughing, New York-Minute, Out Loud !

‘Cause … if Misery, Loves Company …
Company, Sure Don’t Love Misery !
Company … is Taking Care of Business
Strictly, Take into Account, Swiftness

… and Staying Out The Red
Things, Misery Cut and Bled
All Over His Spread-Sheets
Which, He Washed and Hung On Wall Street

Now… Here’s Her Penny for Your Thoughts Again …
Saying, ‘Get Me Out of This Rain-Check, Claim !
Man … She’s A Bottom-Line – Pain !
Boy, Throw Her Some Chunk-Change …

His Blank Check, is What Misery’s After
But, Company is The Man, and ‘ The Manager ‘
He’s Telling Misery, with Interest …
‘ … Girl, Stay Outta’ My Business !

… and I May Pay Misery A Visit …
‘Cause I’m Lady Liberty … Unlimited !
I’m Platinum, and I Got My Hand Up …
‘ Don’t Make Me Put It Down and Whip Your, You Know What !

‘Cause Company … Gets The Job Done !
Show Them How It’s Done … Hon !
Look … You Know You Got Lady Liberty
( and, I’m gonna Keep This Fortune 500 Company )

That Old Woman

Slouched in the chair, with the lights off
Bottle in her hand she’s
Amused, by the illusions she’s having
No parents, dropped off at the steps of those who don’t even know her.
Who don’t even care
Don’t judge me!
Smoke slowly releases from her soft lips
She has no education no understanding
What comes after 10!
Who cares.
Her hair is wild as she smacks the guys hand away
That tries to touch her
You don’t know me like that!
Lost and no love
She sniffs away the powdery
Snow that falls from the sky with no shoes on
Black eyeliner drips down her face
And her scent is unbearable
I have low- self esteem she says.
Her skirt rides up her backside
And her eyes roll back
She is at the point of no return
She is lost with no home and no one to love.
All because someone forgot to love her a little more

Sensless ( Part Two )

In all these triumphs and human attainments
To overcome these realities of material boundaries and confinements
Do we simply fill our lives with possessions and possessive capitalist greed
Is it just ego and the fear of death that governs our sense of individuality

Have not all of us been children, been fathers or mothers, siblings and friends
Do we not count the emotion of another as being equal to our own
Are we not each and everyone, all of us in this together
Or does this blood run a different colour

Or do we waste our potential for mankind’s united evolvement
To reach for the inspiring pinnacle of our spiritual development
Mutually joined in a harmony of trust to the betterment of our destiny

When do we celebrate the diversity of our sense to make sense of the senseless

And so we have lingered through the century’s victim to our own disease
In progress and with education our intelligence still limited in tribal ignorance
The mathematic, scientific and technological revolution providing no solution

Simply confounded by our own simplicity and basic needs
For food and warmth, for shelter and love, for the relief of boredom
Cavemen of the mundane and slaves to acquisition and our own entertainment
As we merely continue to continue

Such is as we are, the problem vis-à-vis the individual and the global
Knowing all to well what we could achieve if we could but realise our dreams
Doomed to a life which creates nothing but want
And a daily reminder of all the things that we can’t

While the cradle of the Earth sickens with our planetary abuse
Have we truly lost ourselves in the all about the money all the way of things
Have we signed our fate over to our own arrogance and blind stupidity

When then do we celebrate our diversity of sense to make sense of "our" senseless

The Criteria

As I grow like an unsure plant
I hope to become a giant Oak tree
It seems I do not control the moment
Some have been tramped by heavy forces

My friends have suddenly become tall
As I seek to reach them
They failed to look and to pull up
Some fall down dirtily and fall forever

In education the best I thought would succeed
In education the worst I knew would fail
But the successful is now the Hustler.
The failure is now the millionaire.

I do not know what I am not
But I do know what I am
I have heard of the power of the spirit
To give, to deny, and to withdraw

This is what I have stuck to

Test Tube

There!
See the cloud.
Uncontaminated, white and glowing
to the point of brilliance

Small object that suffers
from an education of envy.
Jealousy surrounds everything,
but will it begin to eat itself?

Look into the abyss
of a simple book of pleasures.
A garden blooms and is reduced
to a garden bower.

Digestion is blocked by acids.
Corrosion never cleanses,
it just rusts and congeals
in fabricated trends

No feeling of purity
just a chemical reaction
like the Sun, but
lasting a generation.

There!
See the cloud.
Misty and full of blood.
Arteries thicken everyday.

Giggling In the Sun

Giggling in the Sun

Remember when everything was,
And without judgement
Returning to its innocence
Closer we were
To the spirit then

Nothing prejudged by a child
Simply beneath the sun
Nothing more
Than acceptance unconditional

Then

When do you think
We lose it
Between institution and verbiage
The wonderful loses its way
No time to take
As the giggling pleasure become a roar
For teams, for winners, for millions of dollars
For recognition, for property, education and intellectual snobbery

Until as adults none of us can say

“Can you come out to play ?”

And so filled to replete
And suspecting that certain something
Missing
We search for the rest of our days
To discover a moment
We once knew so well
A moment of love,
Of acceptance unconditional
In a bright eyed sun lit space
The place where we once spun our voices in laughter
Those days of innocence
We lost

So as adults some few come to realise
How to see with our own eyes
And return to acceptance
Some of us as adults begin to see
The complex nature of experience and reality
And from a sudden smile
Born in our hearts
The child as an adult
Is reborn

And maybe, just maybe…. Anything is possible.
