A Leaden Sky
A heavy, leaden winter sky

Oppressive, grey as slate.

Biting cold, stinging cheeks

As my weary way, I make.

Autumn had paid a call,

All the leaves, now litter.

Still though, it won't be long

Till all is snow, and glitter....

Leaden Paralysis
My feet so heavy
My arms so heavy
My thoughts so heavy
My eyelids heavy levees
So no more tears.

Lying in bed
With a gun to my head
But I can't pull the trigger
Because my fingers are lead.

No use in crying
No matter what I do
I keep living; I keep dying

I...

The Leaden Crown
Is then the crown too heavy that I wear?
It is not made of gold or silver but of lead and mental garbage;
yet it is bright
it flaunts some embedded gems around it,
they represent some good things that have happened throughout my life.

I, the wearer, can't see...

Life's Leaden Metal Into Gold
Stopped for a moment
   Took the time
to write some verse
Without revising I
   send out this work
Surely you realize that poetry can change
   life's leaden metal into gold
Like a silent symphony
...

On the plain of oblivion, where dreams lose their color under the leaden sky,
Our country stretches like a canvas of memories unraveling in the wind,
Here, where politicians are the shadows of extinguished times, without echo,
We have witnessed a theater of the absurd, with thieves dressed...

In the heart of the night, under the leaden and weeping sky,
amidst the twisted shadows of our thoughts,
we let ourselves be carried by a cold wind, cold as a kiss of death,
falling into the abyss of our hidden fears,
that chain our souls with shackles of...

Beneath the dome of an unforgiving sky, a spring with a leaden heart warms up,
Around it, whole worlds gather, with stiffened breaths and glassy stares,
Herds move, languidly inside a landscape torn from an apocalypse painting,
And lambs – ah, the little white lives – begin their...

Premium Member Against the backdrop of a leaden sky, where dreams lie shattered
Against the backdrop of a leaden sky, where dreams lie shattered,
Beneath the heavy burden of pain, with echoes in sacred silences,
I lay down verses at dusk, where words are lost to the wind,
A saga of melancholy, an echo of a cry too holy.
What a heavy,...

Premium Member Under leaden skies where shadows gather
Under leaden skies where shadows gather,
We look back at the great tragedy of the ages,
Since the Enlightenment, we admire the shattered dreams,
Where optimists, as architects of false hopes,
Have woven the warp of fear and bitter fury.
The fire of illusion rose like a falling star,
Its light...

On a silent night, under a leaden sky and hidden stars,
democracy, like a bird with broken wings, has long since faded, lost in echoes,
and the New World Order, like an unseen dragon, spreads its merciless claws,
in a world where humanity, like a tired boxer, has...

Premium Member In the hollows of my soul when it rains with leaden sadness
In the hollows of my soul when it rains with leaden sadness,
And the clouds gather like grey jurors around me,
I weave an umbrella from the glimmer of a dimmed dream,
From that pure laughter, saved from under the tempest's sway.
When the rain wanders as tears over...

Under leaden skies and wandering moments,
I have roamed through empty lands and silent hills,
I am old with time and lost dreams,
But I will find where she has gone, in the endless universe.
I will kiss her lips like divine relics,
And hold her hands in mine, until...

Under the leaden sky, the rain drips its melancholy in the rhythm of cold tears,
On my stained oak coffin, the tattered shirt absorbs the crimson hues,
Where the earth churns in the silence of my ears,
Worms make their home in the flesh of thighs, devoured by...

Under a leaden sky where thoughts flow like an endless river,
I wonder what it matters if I collapse, when I've been falling for an eternity,
the world crumbles too, bleeding everywhere, from all corners,
just like I am, lost in my own infinite descent.
Let me fall, let...
