This pale imitation of a poet
Endeavering to relate emotions
Unknowingly bears a soul that is lost
To those that have to bear their own cross

Endeavering to relate emotions
Opening myself up to introspection
To those that have to bear their own cross
Reading my meanderings takes courage

Opening myself up to introspection
I find all the chinks in my hard armour
Reading my meanderings takes courage
Some revelations are better left dead

I find all the chinks in my hard armour
Tears at times are known to rust through
Some revelations are better left dead
memories make you see your truth

Tears at times are known to rust through
Other emotions follow the path
Memories make you see your truth
Having blinders on holds me back

Other emotions follow the path
Unknowingly bears a soul that is lost
Having blinders on holds me back
