Life Precepts and God

LIFE  PRECEPTS  AND  GOD

I want to mold no one, for what I believe   is suitable for me alone;
Each must find a belief-path which suits perfectly, but suits no one apart.
Let me offer my beliefs only to show how a path may be found -
And advise you to believe nothing unless it is deep in your heart.

If my job as father was correctly done, on their path through life
My children will treat others as they themselves wish to be,
And will look upon each person as a potential brother in need of help,
And seeing another’s misfortune, they will say - it could easily be me.

They will look after each other and others who may be in need,
And seek no thanks or praise, but do the job secretly with no bother.
Love is shown only by actions, and in the doing is the praying.
Their actions will be motivated by what is necessary for these others.

This is a difficult path to take and it is the right path:
But path or no path, I love my children - they are mine. And I believe this:
If I love my children as dearly as a father can, then
How much more does God our father love us. We are his.

The Humble Pen

The Humble Pen (by Steven Cooke)

What dreams we have,
We share with the pen.
What love we find,
We share with the pen.
What happiness we find,
We share with the pen.

When our soul bleeds,
We find solace in the pen.
When our hearts are broken,
We find comfort in the pen.
When all hope is lost,
We find salvation in the pen.

And when we leave this mortal coil.
We will leave the pen,
for our Children to pick up.

For the pen, is a rainbow,
For our dreams, hopes and fears.
Where the heart and soul has a voice.
Where love resides for your fellow man,
And where beauty is found everywhere.

It confirms our existence, our beliefs.
And though our lives are brief.
It is a noble quest,
A gift of love to the world,
And a seed of hope,

 So Let the children plant and nurture this hope
And they too will see the rainbow
Let this legacy nourish their lives
With love and beauty,
And let the humble pen go on,
To find the next voice,
The next chapter on this wonderful planet.
We Call earth.

Christmas At the Rauhe Haus

based on Elihu Burritt’s “Christmas in Germany” (c. 1850)

You find a hand-built chapel among small homes
constructed by children. But what children –
vicious young ne’er-do-wells from a Dickens novel,
pickpockets and worse; if not murderers, at least

boys handy with cudgel or knife; petty thieves;
girls just as bad. And here they’ve planted trees,
and a garden around the cottages they built.
Ducks and geese in the pond are no happier,

this December morning, than the children
who’ve invited everyone from miles around
to help them celebrate. People arrive
by carriage to sit on hard benches in the chapel

with its Christmas tree alight with tapers. And who
sits at the table of honor with a linen cloth?
"The poorest of the poor, the lamest of the lame,
the blindest of the blind, the oldest of the aged.

"Pauper guests from the hovels, hedges, and
highways of the neighborhood." How amazed
you were, Elihu, who’d traveled among society
and knew its ways, to witness this turnabout;

how children saved from the ditch, and raised
with love, would want to share their bounty –
their hand-baked bread, cakes, and confections,
hand-knit stockings, wooden shoes. Their joy.

We Are the World

They said the Earth was flat and we believed
Until we realized how foolish it seemed
They said we could not be friends for our colors weren’t the same
We shook hands and smiled, and learned each others’ names
They said peace couldn’t exist in this day and age
Yet we write the treaties day by day, page by page
They said about a computer malfunction…They cried “Y2K!”
We calmly responded, “It will all be OK.”
They said so many things could never be done
We proved them wrong, one by one
They say children are starving. They cannot be saved.
Their road to the afterlife has already been paved.
They say our attempts to help have no meaning
That they will die, and our only option is grieving
They say that they completely understand
That it just didn’t quite go according to God’s plan
And while the children famine, they enjoy their feasts
So today we want you to listen at least
They say this and that, but we will prove them wrong
We Are the World, we are free and strong
We will not give in to empathy or greed
We will reach out a hand to someone in need
We will help every man, woman, boy and girl
We stand as one…We are the world

Teachers of Today

There is too much emphasis
we put on our color we need
to get down to basics and culture

  Our children ask questions when
they just don't know, the answers
 we give, they'll use as they grow.

It is a natural attentiveness for
children to notice the differences of
the people who are living amongst us

Thee eyes on that man! can he see
out of them? a friend's child once asked
 of me, the man knelt down as
 he turned around and said,
 " That is cause I am Korean".

 While watching T.V my daughter noticed
  thee difference between her and a man,
   she said, "Why is he darker than me?"
 I just told her he was born with a tan.

 And it was at this time we were standing
in line, amongst the few whites in
the market, when a little black girl took
notice in her and asked,
" Why is her hair so different?"

 Curious children with innocent minds
both go hand and hand,
  but if WE as their teacher's stop
pointing our fingers the future
generation would get along
 just fine.

Roof Top Poet

He was known as the roof top poet
He was good , but he wouldn’t show it.
He wrote about everything on the streets
While listening to the Latin beat.

His upbringing inspired him
To write about crime and sin.
He wrote about street drugs everywhere
And dirty needles that they would share.

He played the conga and bongos too
This is what he had learned to do.
There was not a topic that he would not touch
For he loved life much to much.

He wrote about robberies, muggings
And murder , prostitution, gambling
Corruption and all the rest
His talent for street writing made him the best.

But there was a soft side to him
That people did not know
And where ever children needed him
He would go.
He was a volunteer in the children s hospital
And the orphanages too, which was
Something that nobody knew.
He would give them love, affection, and laughter
Wealth or fame he wasn’t after.
He gave them the key elements for the
Children to survive, HOPE, LOVE, FAITH
With hope in their hearts and faith in GOD
There was nothing that they could not do.
If to themselves they would be true.
Now if we could be such as HE
The world would be better for the children you see.

Forgive Me

Forgive me Lord for not being happy;
  with what I have and what I own,
  I feel so ashamed of myself;
  how I constantly moan and groan.

  I may not own everything material;
  like a nice house or a new car,
  but what I do have Lord;
  outweighs all of that and more.

  I have three healthy wonderful children;
  some women cannot conceive,
  Some children are very sick or dying;
  how their poor parents must grieve.

  My children receive three meals;
  each and every day,
  There are children who are starving;
  they are slowly wasting away.

  I get upset how small our home is;
  embarrassed the furniture is worn and old,
  some people have no home to go to;
  they sleep outside in the cold.

  I have a husband and three healthy children;
  They love me and I love them,
  I realize now I have truly been blessed;
  I will never complain again.

I Did No Wrong

I really don't understand why they took my children from me.
Why is this happening and what did I do wrong?
All I wanted to see,
was my children grow up big and strong.

No help from a near,
and no help from afar.
So I looked to the skies,
for help from the stars.
I still do not understand what I did was so wrong.

What did I do to deserve this?
How do I get them out of this mess?
They threw me in jail,
And there is where I sit.
That is when god told me never to quit.
And not really knowing what I did wrong.

I asked the courts don't butcher my children
And let the parents decide.
How can I hold back,
the death sentence that they hide.

I pleaded with them to give them back
And asked god why are they the way they are?
My spirit and my will to fight are very strong.
How can the courts let this go on so long?

They have taken them away because they said I am bad.
But the only thing that they're doing,
is making everyone very sad.
What did I do that was so very wrong?

If you look at the big picture for all to see,
There must be a reason, for that I am not sure.
When I did no wrong how can they take my children for me?

Who Can Be Against You

When the Lord God is for you

Tell me, dude,

Who can be against you?

No one at all!

The chief punk,

Sees your spiritual *****,

And may want to and will push you down,

For a free fall!

But God will be there to pick you up,

And make him look more like a clown.

The pit that the Satan-virused being,

Made for you they will fall in and,

Be attacked harder because of,

The powerful Father.

The enemy is already defeated,

So we should already remember,

That God’s children can’t be faded,

And Satan has strategies to get

And/or keep us in bondage.

You can stand with God against

A huge magnitude of demonic-virused

Beings and win. God’s team is the team

To play a part in. Anyone who chooses

To be with that other dude is up for

An awakening that is rude.

I’ll say it again dude.

When the Lord God is for you,

Who can be against you?

No one at all!

When Satan attacks,

God has your back,

Satan wants you to fall,

But you will stand tall,

To say that the battle was won today,

And I stand with the Father God all day,

Every day. My God keeps it more than,

One hundred and with that punk devil,

He don’t play!

 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be
against us? Romans 8:31

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil
are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who
does not love his brother. I John 3:10

Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Psalms 24:8

Teach the Children

Friend, do you know God had Instructed Parents
To Teach Children to Pray... Day and Night
Know Jesus is the Only Way, to Save Us All!
God had appointed children a Dad and Mom,
To Teach children Right from wrong,
How to get along, and know Just what to do
Children Obey their Parents, For this is Right
In The Lord.. If they do, What there asked too,
They will be in-store, for Great Rewards
Children need to Know, so they'll grow,
Spiritually, Physically, and Mentally Strong
They'll Live Long, Once they Belong to Christ
All they have to do is Believe to Receive
Accept Jesus in their hearts, be Born-again
So, the Holy Spirit can come in
Guide them on their way.. Because some Day,
They'll be Grown in on their own
Then they'll know which Path way to go
And do what's Right.. In Christ
