Now Is The Time To Hunker Down And Write

Now is the time to hunker down and write
heal wounded heart, defeating dark of night
allow ink's flow, imaginative breath,
to stop tragic thinking of loss and death
weave poetic art, feel powerful joy
pray true, against dark's power to destroy.

Now is the time to hunker down and pen
words that curse sad fate of women and men
allow heart its deepest of reliefs,
find again, truth, light of divine beliefs
soak paper in expressive ink, gift light
to counter evil world's usual blight.

Now is the time to hunker down and tell
of soul and mind's power to dark dispel
allow faith its powers and its just dues,
let new born poetry, wash away blues
with true honor, poetic art enhance
enjoy life and set eager pen to dance.

Now is the time to hunker down and see
firm and true, that love and kindness are key
allow eyes again, love's power behold,
refuse to believe world's many lies told
kneel each magnificent new morn to pray
that love, mercy, and divine hope holds sway.

Now is the time to hunker down and write
heal wounded heart, defeating dark of night
allow ink flow, imaginative breath,
to stop tragic thinking of loss and death
weave poetic art, feel powerful joy
pray true, against dark's power to destroy.

Subtle, very subtle, yet the promise whispers in the trees.
The zinnias struggle with a push one last bud to sky unfurl,
While the neighbor's cat goes on the prowl for one more kill to squeeze.
Late September days will end and the unprepared imperil.

The strident cries heard in the sky are the sounds of birds going south.
Though crammed and touching wings at times, they fly with great effusion.
A squirrel hordes some nuts he's found by stuffing them in his mouth,
While looking for a ready den, the mice run in confusion.

The slowly, shortening days are the sun's bowing to appease
The tired flora/fauna pact that's desperate for a long rest,
But a softened whisper in the wind has changed to a cold breeze,
And ice and snow begin to form on the tallest mountain crest.

Billionaires hunker down in their Queenstown bunker lairs

Let’s pester Uncle Fester

After dafter Luxon

Pushed the button

Welcomed every glutton

To the isles of mutton

Theme of the meme

Team New Zealand

It does seem

No longer a

Stronger eclectic sceptic

Spanked by the rank

Septic tank stream

Peptic Pyramid scheme

Grand slam.. glam sham scam

Desperate Dan or Tangerine tan plan

God damn..American dream

Our rancour on social media

Danker seedier leaders crimes

Hanker for every greedier

Rhymes with banker

Sleazier golden geezer visas

Accept any offers to

Fill their many coffers

Brokery.. jiggery pokery

Immunity without impunity

To the unity of community

Profanity of their vanity

Insanity of their depravity

Clarity...disparity not charity

Tramples ample wokery

Our amazing landscape

Instead becomes their escape

Coined..after all they’ve purloined

Jolly jape…no red tape

Not being rash

But it is a rash

Debunk the gunk & funk

Forsaking the avarice

Taking the pis*

Bliss abyss monk

Crass..brash..flash git

S***k a chunk of cash

From their balderdash stash

Making..a complete hash of it

Fake elite on the take

As they see fit

Billionaire boys ploys annoys

Replete yet still cheat

Have your cake and eat it

Our government just envoys

For a small fee..sweet

Deploys the swanky..w**ky

Yankee all about me

Time to flee plea

They lit the fire

Liar & denier

Dug the quagmire

Piety for impropriety

Moolah Messiah ruler

High flyer pariah

Crueler society

Who when the s**t

Does hit the fan

No fibs..his nibs gets

First dibs on cribs

Outlier masterplan zen..know

Then where to go

Can always hunker down

In a spick & span den

Their Queenstown bunker

Amen

I’m walking with Missy out here in the woods,
And the muse is right with me and life’s pretty good.

The storm’s rolling in, and the wind’s blowing hard,
The lawn chairs are lying all over the yard.

It’s time to prepare and to close up the shop;
I’m thinking the hammer’s getting ready to drop.

The band on the radar is angry and red;
Warm days in the springtime can get people dead.

For nature’s a force, one to be reckoned with;
Down here in the south, the tornadoes come swift.

So we’ll keep an eye out, won’t drive into town,
And if it goes bad, then we’ll all hunker down.

just an average Spring day in North Alabama...

Premium Member Airing the Evil Out

There is evil in the air
Challenging things to see if we care
As simple as being under the weather
This illness wants to know if the world really wants to get better
We first responded by deciding to call events off
Seeing this disturbing society cough
To no one’s fault
The International community came to a complete halt
Turning lives into sacrifices
Saying good bye to acceptable vices
Twenty nine days will change to twenty eight
And then answers should arrive to make things straight
State by state, nation by nation
People hunker down being very patient
Until the day that will come and the evil in the air will say it is done
Trying to take away life’s fun
When that hour of power reality sees a spring flower
Gloves will come off
Giving way to the summer’s eve of peaceful interaction in the loft
