Prayer is the means God's given
that we can speak to God above
this God is eternal drawing on us
to fellowship with the God of love
Scripture tells us to make time
for God's ears are constantly on call
but the question is are we open
or do we think we just stall?
If we don't spend time in prayer
why don't we? don't we believe!
do we think it's just words in the air?
prayers hard work so roll up your sleeves
The bible is clear that God does hear
His answers may vary but He knows
it may be yes or maybe no or just wait
but our words heavenly certainly goes
Learn from Jesus our great high priest
who intercedes for us at His throne of grace
so we should pray to Him believing Him
that He grants mercy when we seek His face
(14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.)

God has declared through His inspired word
all that He is and all He can do
this word is living powerful and so sharp
more than two-edged sword this is true
This God is all-powerful indeed
there's nothing outwith His control
for sovereign, He is over everything
yes even you and every living soul
All that you know in your grey matter
as well as all that's in your sinful heart
fully none of it is hidden from God
all are naked before Him every single part
This God is eternal always shall be
our righteousness is like filthy rags
in His eyes detestable and obnoxious
we're without hope nothing to brag
Jesus came to our rescue
to save us and make us fit
to stand in God's holy presence
knowing in Christ we needn't quit
For all will stand before Him
there we must give account
if not in Christ we've no hope
but in Him, we have a living fount
("For the word of God is living and powerful, and
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." )

A warning here is given to all
don't refuse the one that speaks
for those on earth did so at their peril
from heaven now warns you He seeks
But God comes with a promise
for in the past, the earth was shook
now He says shaken will be heaven too
all of this comes from God's holy book
What's been said so far indicates
things will be shaken yet once more
that what's been made will be removed
so the rest will stand secure for evermore
Be filled with gratefulness to the Lord
for giving you His kingdom that stands still
unmovable, unshakeable, irresistible
this is our God, lethal sharp-edged sword
Come with reverence and awe
to truly worship this consuming fire
this is God who is eternally divine
from His power, we can always draw
("See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.")

Anger consumed within me,
Rage passed continually by.
A mixture of blue and red,
Blinding the dim light inside me.
Once the light was like a flaming torch,
Such a torch that can be compared to the sun.
But even the sun rests, the flames can be vanquished
Only the night was witnessed until the morning dawned.
I was created to love you.
This was the only purpose,
But I chose to reject you.
How foolish of me to compose.
Given many chances to accept,
Welcome the love higher than my mother,
I was in an asylum locked by my choice.
"No more!" I uttered.
A glowing door suddenly appeared,
"Who could it be?" I questioned.
It opened; a figure so bright glanced at the corner,
"My child, fear not," the figure mentioned.
I took his offering hand.
Richness of everlasting springs of water,
The right hand of infinite life.
We departed blissfully as He catered
"Do not sow any longer, for you are here with your Father,"
I began to weep as a baby weeps for his mother.
"My child, for you were once lost but now have been found."
A final tear inching below, the Devil will no longer bother.

You can not see the wind blow,
yet you can see the evidence in the trees!
You can not see The Holy Spirits Presence,
yet when He fills you,
you may fall to your knees!
You may not see Jesus Christ Face right now,
yet He is as real as you and me!
YOU MUST BELIEVE AND HAVE FAITH!
Faith is the substance of things hoped for!
It's the evidence of things not yet seen!

Never one to shackle one with the past
Yet humans use words to distort
Time, our guilt or responsibility
In that sense, the Past is a scapegoat
An escape route, and inconsistent ally:
If one has/ had parents, one has a past
And we give it life with our names ...
When we use any names, biological
Or anthropological, or political (Malcolm X)
The past is deployed - a battleship of peace and war
II
God has a Past (faithfulness) yet is timeless
Not shackled by time; the Passover
Cannot be passed over or passed by
Even as Past History of Hebrews escaping
Egypt, superpower of the day
If you have skeletons you're hiding
You may say LET the PAST BURY ITSELF
It can't be done
Face it, repent, and enjoy PRESENT Presents
Of a cleaner conscience, trust, open relationships
The PAST is the (steamship or) airship
That brought you here: face this time with truth

God has declared His gospel story
paying the price of a perfect sacrifice
that He should purchase His own
on the cross then from death, He did arise
This great salvation cost the eternal God
of giving His only begotten son
all of His holy seed He gave up
for our so great salvation, He won
So having received this salvation
we must not neglect our free prize
for it came at such a great cost
as Jesus revealed His heartfelt cries
Jesus calls us to discipleship
following Him taking up His cross
not to neglect this precious salvation
to do so will be our loss
To neglect this blood-bought salvation
will rob us of our eternal hope
how can we escape God's displeasure
such neglect will send us to our slippery slope
AUTHOR NOTES: ' how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard' Hebrews 2 v. 3

Your lips are made for truth
especially from God's holy word
but lies last only a moment
leaving sin to leave us stirred
Beware of evildoers in their ways
they are those filled with deceit
learn from the joyful souls
who bring peace to all they meet
The righteous suffer no spiritual ill
for the Lord loves to bless their faith
trouble follows the wicked to the full
to their downfall spurning God's grace
The Lord hates intensely as lying tongue
it's an abomination in HIs holy spirit
God's faithful people walk with Him
bringing glory to His pure delight
God sees every being in His sight
for they are completely naked
before the one we give an account
Jesus Christ the righteous full of light
("Truthful lips endure forever,
but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy.
No ill befalls the righteous,
but the wicked are filled with trouble.
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight.")

Jesus is the great high priest
who ministers before God's throne
on behalf of the elected redeemed
being the believer's chief cornerstone
The priests in the past stood daily
offering sacrifices for sin forever
but these failed to deal with sin
only the perfect high priest could deliver
Jesus made Himself the perfect sacrifice
by one offering His own are sanctified
what a picture this conveys His grace
this Jesus gave Himself as He died
This great high priest makes intercession
for those He redeemed by His blood
so those can draw near with a true heart
full of faith like a great flood
What a privilege we have been given
to have such a great high priest
Jesus our saviour is seated at God's hand
eternally on our case never to cease
(Hebrews 10:8-18
Modern English Version
8 Previously when He said, “You did not desire sacrifices and offerings. You have had no pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin,” which are offered in accordance with the law, 9 then He said, “See, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 But every priest stands daily ministering and repetitively offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. 13 Since that time He has been waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has forever perfected those who are sanctified.
15 The Holy Spirit also witnesses to us about this. For after saying,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them
after those days, says the Lord:
I will put My laws into their hearts,
and in their minds I will write them,”
17 then He adds,
“Their sins and lawless deeds
will I remember no more.”
18 Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
21 and since we have a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse them from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us firmly hold the profession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.)

Make every effort to be at peace
not just with a few but everyone
holiness also is a definite must have
for without it, God's blocked out undone
God promises to provide His grace
but one needs to obtain it to not fail
kill off all bitter roots at the stem
for many fail being defiled to be in jail
One doesn't want to be like Esau
or be found sexually immorally sinful
this is falling into Satan's clutches
better live close to God be found faithful
Esau was found out selling His birthright
after a while God's blessing he did seek
but he was rejected no matter his tears
repentance had left him his future bleak
Learn these important lessons really well
peace and holiness you can't do without
for it's your passport to the eternal home
this Jesus said is what it's all about
(Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears.)

Eternal always that is our God
one who never had any beginning
always has been never no end
this is our Lord the sovereign king
God sent forth to this earth
the Lord Jesus His only son
to bring the good news of His love
showing His redemption will be won
Jesus is God's image of truly himself
God is spirit having no physical view
but Jesus came to show divinity
our heavenly Father as He is so true
God is indeed God always forever
as Jesus shows himself to be
God invisible all-knowing and wise
loved us enough to die on a tree
( Jesus is the image of the invisible God - Heb 1:3)

Be walking in step with your God
living daily along the Christian way
becoming like the average Christian soul
I will follow Jesus as they say
Beware of the enemies subtle tricks
seeking to trip you up face down
sowing that seed as he did Eve
doubting God's word makes one frown
Remember words from the Hebrews writer
to beware of evil unbelieving heart
that makes you to fall spiritually short
fearing God's rest closed after the start
God's call is to keep on believing
no matter Satan or self's own voice
put on Christ in all His person
giving good reason to forever rejoice
So guard your heart believing
be engrossed in divine holy writ
reject all who deny God's truth
proving yourself fully heavenly fit
(Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.') Hebrews 3: 12 (esv)

A whisper of wonder entered my heart
I tried to not show repulsion, it was a start
We are all God’s children, the homeless and lepers too
I am not better than him, her, your mom or those two.
The man was panhandling, which usually irritates me
But God spoke to my heart, so I pulled one glove free
I offered him a bit of money to buy a meal or two
He was grateful and said this to me “May God bless you!”
With a joyful heart I left that place, feeling better now.
It was a small gesture, but it made a difference somehow.
I decided to listen for Jesus’ voice a bit harder the next time I see...
A person who needs a helping hand or a smile from little old me.

Surrounded are we by a great cloud
witnesses are they of this daily walk
side by side with Jesus we travel
for this saviour is our great rock
So be sure to leave off every weight
cut off every sin that clings to you
take on the ultimate race of life
be endurable always right on cue
Set your eyes upon Jesus the Christ
who founded the perfection of our belief
presenting this great gift of faith
be empowered by God never be brief
This Christ saw the joy before Him
went to the cross no matter the shame
to pay the sacrificial price for all our sins
now seated at God's right hand as His aim
Now consider this Jesus who endured hostility
for sinners were His enemies without end
but don't get fainthearted or weary
stay faithful to Jesus, heavenly sent
(Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.)
