Just a small girl, an innocent rose bud
lost in daydreams while she walked
home from school, for several blocks.

It was a fine, spring day in Berkeley
warm sun's rays peaked through leaves
amidst the trees, by sidewalk streets.

Her school bag in hand, preoccupied
"Don't step on a crack or on a line
keep to the spaces, and you'll be fine."

And so she played the sidewalk game
until a call was heard, from mother dear
across the street, her voice so clear.

Without a thought, she ran to meet
her mother, yet she was unaware
of a speeding car, out of nowhere.

The vehicle descended fast
upon the child, on that center divide
within a split second, she could die.

And then, a supernatural event
as forces, unforeseen, took place
a split second, she flew to the sidewalk, safe.

This little girl had turned, was lifted up
then gently placed, she had escaped
was gathered by angel's arms, embraced.

My mother saw it all, before her very eyes
her child, rescued, by a miracle that day
and I, that little girl, am grateful I was saved.

My Guardian Angel

My guardian angel, God's gift from above,
resides in my heart, guiding my mind and soul.
Protective wings wrap me with angelic love
to shape my decisions and life's every goal.

My guardian angel helps me to live days
with God's gifts of nature that surround my life.
When times become stressful, this comfort displays
that hope in tomorrow will lessen my strife.

My guardian angel guides me day and night
   to give of myself in each way that I can;
for family, friends, or others who might
empower my heart to help my fellow man.

My guardian angel directs my daydreams...
leads my inspiration toward creative art,
with words or a paintbrush, display lovely scenes,
and bring forth the beauty of life from my heart.

My guardian angel will guide me through death;
help shape my acceptance at that solemn time.
Wrapped up in her splendor...then at my last breath,
will bring me to Heaven...eternal, sublime.

Walk this road with me by your side;
never will I lead you astray.
Yes, it’s I who whispers to you,
sometimes nudging you to change course.
When you're headed in the wrong direction,
I strive to offer input:
“What if you put your life in God’s hands
and let Him choose the path you take."
I’m here in the afterlife,
waiting to escort you through Heaven’s gate.
Sometimes I feel like I’m talking to myself,
so silently I attempt to guide you.
When you were born, I was charged with your fate.
Help me succeed, just as I strive to assist you.
You may think of me as your conscience, your mentor,
but I know Who sent me to make life’s journey with you.
Sometimes you make my task difficult,
yet just like you, I am no quitter.
Try if you must to put me on the shelf
when temptation is overpowering.
You will fail in this effort;
I won’t let you turn away from me.
I’m the shadow you cannot see,
your guardian angel, holding eternal life’s key.

As I was on an errand today
I had nothing on my mind
Until I saw the carcass of an unfortunate deer
And noticed the scavengers quite near

I felt in pain
His loss their gain

I remembered something
I was told quite young
When someone dies
A baby is born.

Then I began to think
Whose place was it I did take

Was it a man?
Was it a woman?
Was he or she young?
Or was he or she old?

I seriously felt
It was a man
It is he who is my Guardian Angel
And I wanted to reach out and take his hand

Was he a country or a city man?
Was he born in the 1800’s or the 1900’s I asked
Was he from this country or a foreign shore?
Oh the questions there are so many more

Was he in the war?
Was he safe from harm?
Or was he hurt
And lost an arm?

Did he marry?
And were there children, I asked
How many grandchildren were there
Who sat on his lap?

You are so near
Yet so far
Now that I question
Who you are

How many times did I disappoint him
Through out my time on earth
Did he like my singing?
Or did his ears I hurt?

Was his hand on mine as I painted
The mountains the skys and the seas
Or on the steering wheel when my attention was lax
Was he there to help save me

Did he help with my tests in school
In order to ensure my future goal
Did he approve of my choice
As I chose a school on the Nebraska soil

I know he was there when I was wed
And he approved of the life we led
Maybe he even beamed
As our four children came upon the scene.

He is here to help me see
The wonders God has made
And prepare myself for the final day
When I approach the Golden Gate

Maybe it is then I will know
Who died so I could be born
I’ll thank him for he did his best
Then ask God to give him, eternal rest.

GUARDIAN ANGEL

Last night I had a dream, it had a tale to tell
I dreamed I saw an Angel the poor thing wasn't well
His body bruised and battered, his wings were ripped and torn
he looked as if he wished that I was never born

I walked up to him and I asked, "Angel how can this be"
He turned around and paused a bit then spoke these words to me
I am your Guardian Angel a great task as you can see
You've run a muck all your life look what it's done to me

These bruises are from shielding you in times both dice and ill
Those dangerous things you had used I often paid the bill
See my wings are ripped and torn, a noble badge that I wear
How often they have flown you from evil unaware

Each Mark is its own story of deadly wounds destroyed
You've made me wish more than once that I was unemployed
If only you could make it and stand up on your own
Oh don't you fret or worry you shall not be left alone

But please try to remember that I'm getting old and frail
We will see if you can help yourself only time will tell
I could not believe all I'd heard let alone how much he cared
I sat and wept upon his shoulder then left in despair

The next morning I pondered all the things that I had done
And that's when the transformation hit, my life had finally begun
So I made a final decision to change my life and try
And in the distance I thought I heard a frail old Angel cry...

My Mom My Guardian Angel

The cold wind rustles your tired feathers,
you are weary from your flight,
rest your wings, my guardian angel
let the shadows takeover the night

There was no need for these hardships,
evethough you fought for what you believed in,
because above my heart there always hung
a sign just for you saying-"Come on in!!"

All the times i've let you down,
as slowly your precious tear drips,
and yet you say with a bewitching smile,
"Anything for you my son"-through trembling lips

To the little ray of sunshine,
cutting through the darkness called life,
to my ever present mooring post,
that keeps me stable through strife

Even though there is a billion emotions in me,
I just have two words to say,
eternally glad that you are my mom,
all i manage to wishper is-"Happy birthday..."

~Guardian Angel~
(Nonet)

We are all assigned an angel
To watch over us here all time
When days turn cloudy and gray
And when we need someone to
To turn to as a friend
When days are dark
They guide us
Into the
Light.

Guardian Angel

Guardian angel of sky’s door
I’m waiting for a call
My heart lies against a wall
A secret that I will tell no more

Avoid my tear in the sand
May cause a ocean from my crying
Will tell me to live with no dying
But in my feet I will not stand

Guardian, demons don´t talk
Send an angel to regret living
To rescue that life´s singing
I´m not alone to stand and walk

Forever in life I will be
Repeating the sound after me
Jogging in the sand of time
Flying alone across the sky

Guardian angel who cries on the walls
I grow live waiting a call
Forever is a long time to stare
Demons don´t need to be aware

Don´t cry in the clouds
Your crying may flood an ocean
In the heart that lauds
Long time for devotion

Guardian angel, the horses are black
They live free in my fantasy
Showing the way in my destiny
Demons are never back

So forever in life I will be
Repeating the sound after me
Jogging in the sand of time
Flying alone across the sky

Guardian angel who cries on the walls
Flying back to sky who cares
Watching how the rain falls
Demons cry in the night that scares

This Guardian Angel

There is a looking glass in my head
That reflects images of a me,
That are me, yet not me;
An interpretation of me.
Each image taking on characteristics
That are me,
And creating an embodiment, a character,
That has the qualities of me,
In an identity of its own…

Reflection of a Romantic…

White charger, shining armour
Silver sports car, sunglasses
Damsel in distress
World order to protect
Chivalry
Politeness
Serve, honour, protect
Others first
Caring, sharing
Night sky
Knight, spy
Hellenic character
Mythological champion
Medieval gallant
Twentieth century hero
Quick to rescue
Slow to take credit
Happiest giving
Uncomfortable receiving

This guardian angel

Reflection of a Teacher…

Hungry for knowledge
And new experiences
Desperate for harmony, fairness and peace
Needing to share
Encourage and care
Ready to show
How people can grow
Mentoring, nurturing, supporting success
Listening carefully
With true interest
Genuine happiness as others excel
Their success not just theirs
But mine as well
My reward is not money, recognition or praise
But making a difference
As we steer through this maze
The maze that is life
Can be lived in many ways
But if life is loved
And you fill all your days
With the joy of new experience, learning and fun
If you live with enthusiasm, as if life’s just begun
Then my task is done well

This guardian angel

Reflection of a Friend and Lover...

Ever supporting
Never judging
Dependable, honest, unselfish and yours
I’ll always be there
To trust and to care
What’s mine is yours
To enjoy and to share
I’ll inform you, challenge you
Excite you, and more
In tune with your needs
For fun and adventure
But also for peace, space
And comfortable silence
I’ll nurture and listen
With tact and discretion
Reassure and protect
With tireless energy
Always with passion
Fulfilling and giving
Sensual and tactile
Gentle and loving
I’ll make you feel special
With all of my charm
I will see that you’re safe
And help you feel calm
All of this
I do with such pleasure
With a kiss
And embrace from

His Guardian Angel Came

He went to sleep
but ne’er woke up
His guardian angel came
and gently called his name
No fuss
No pain
Just called his name
And took him
by the hand
Afore the dawn
on this brand new morn
So peaceful
she thought
Just sleeping
she thought
But as she softly called his name
He did not stir
No breath
He’d gone
No fuss
No pain
‘Twas then she knew
His guardian angel came
Then for a while
With him she’d lain
As softly
She did call his name
This precious time
Just him and her
There was no breath
He did not stir
She said goodbye
Her love she sent
His spirit rose
His soul did soar
Eternal love forevermore
She wept and slowly closed the door

Guardian Angel

Today my heart is hurting
As tomorrow you wont be there.
I didnt know you were going
Or i would have been there to care.

I hope you are at peace now
In heaven up above.
If only i could have saved you with my unconditional love.

A piece of my heart went with you
on that very day. Its never been the same, but i hope you hear me pray.

For I think of you often, i speak up to you each day. The laughs and the memories of you will never fade away.

You meant the world to me
Perhaps i never let you know but when i see you again you will, as it is the first thing i will show.

I know when it is my turn my heart will ease to see the light.
As i dream of hugging you again and holding you so tight.

Our story didnt finish
That wasnt a goodbye.
But merely i must go for now.
I will watch you from the sky.

To know you are my angel guarding over me, brings me comfort every day.
But i still wish you were here with me.

Guardian Angel

"I heard an angel speak last night and he said "write"
Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Did those lichen covered lips really smile?
Was it simply my imagination,
or were her eyes following me?

Her wingtips twitched slightly
and I knew it was true:
those stone ears could hear
every note of the birdsong
and her chiselled nostrils
smelt the roses I placed in the vase
at her marble feet.

Before I left, I thanked her for watching
over my son as he slept in peace.

Hear me Angel, Guardian Angel
Hear my cries, dry these tears I shed
Give to me a new perspective
Help me change the life I've led

Touch me Angel, Guardian Angel
Teach my spirit not to roam
Sometimes I feel so abandoned
Sometimes I feel far from home

Lead me Angel, Guardian Angel
From these demons I know too well
Give me courage, remove my fear
As I stand at the fires of Hell

Guide me Angel, Guarian Angel
Through the streets filled with despair
Where there is hatred, fear and anger
Let me find love, teach me to care.

My Guardian Angel

I, a stranger here
in this unknown place
a swarm of new faces
moving at their own paces

In the wandering crowd
lost as i was
their came piercing
a ray of hope, blinding

an inspiration, a support
a guardian angel so sweet
brimming with love potion
spreading an aura of compassion

her sufferings hidden by a mask
of sweet smile that brighten my day
with love immense to share
and a heart that care

she extended her hand
prodding me to thrive
led me through the hurdles
paving way to success

my second mother
always close to my heart
shining with a brilliance
that can hush the stars.

Know this worlds future is guarded well
cloaked in beliefs, not someones spell

learnig may allow some to understand
what awaits those in the promised land

seeking knowledge of a future yet devised
Won't our childrens visions to be chastised

Instead of devising a plan for what's ahead
allow children to dream in a protected bed
