Did My Portion of Humanity Get In Your Way

We all make mistakes~

Oooops,
 I'm sorry.
 Forgive me.
Were the words, I heard said.

My Fault,
my BADDD,
 awwwwww man.

I can't promise, it won't happen again!!!!!!

Family, Loves, and Friends
 don't sway or betray,

Please forgive me,
when my humanity gets in the way!!!!!!!

But the Pictures Get In the Way

Reading a poem feeds the mind,
Touches the heart with what it says,
Wisdom, delight, there I find
But the pictures get in the way.

Vivid lines paint good images,
They take me places any day.
Poems are lovely, way down the page-
But the pictures get in the way.

Good poems can stand well on their own
With one or two pictures, okay.
Too much may make its merit drown
'Cause the pictures get in the way.

--------------
A kyrielle is made of quatrains that rhyme. Each stanza (that is a quatrain) has a line that repeats, so a line from a previous stanza. That line usually (but does not necessarily have to) be the last line in the stanza.
Each line in the poem has eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. Usually there are three or more stanzas.
Any type of rhyme scheme can be used.

I Need To Get In Running Shape

She's a runner.
That's why I can't catch her
That's why I can't keep up with her

But my endurance is improving,
Maybe I can match her for a mile

A mile is all I need,
One little chance

But she runs everyday,
And more than once

If I try to run with her
What would she do?
What would she say?

Do you think she would just leave me in the Dust?
Or do you think she would coast on an easy stride?
It's worth a shot.
Would it be a race?
Or would it be just a fun run?

Chasing her does include a lot of bumping elbows,
And all the dirty tricks.
Because I'm not the only boy after her.
It's a big race.

A race I must win..
For Happiness
For love
For her.

What You'Ll Get In the End

I remember when life seems so easy,
Care free moments, just sunny and breezy.
Now there is not enough hours in a day,
Often I find myself having little to say.

I work so much I forget how to live,
There seems no reward for all that I give.
I always remember there shall be more hope,
Giving me purpose and all the tools to cope.

The days get longer and nights are worse.
I seek happiness and look for a source.
I always believe it can be better than this,
As the sky glows orange it fills me with bliss.

`I search for peace when none can be found,
I listen closely to each and every sound.
So much happens and slowly fades away,
I seem to get lost in those shades of gray.

I think to myself I need to see all I get,
Just because it’s not here it may be yet.
I look to the horizon as the sun goes down low,
I see so many things just to watch them all go.

Still this is better than nothing at all,
They say the descent is worse than the fall.
I want something more so I try once again,
You will never know what you’ll get in the end.

Tears Get In the Way

I wish so many things I could go back and change
It's so hard to live with the mistakes that I made
I spend so much time wishing I would of done this or that
How do you move on when it hurts so much looking back

The time we spend together I want you to see me happy
a smile on my face but so many times my tears get in the way
Your the most important person to me in my life
your my world because of you I'm thankful that I'm alive
because of you I wont give up and I keep on trying

Jimmy, Get In the House

Jimmy
The street lights are on
Get your butt home
‘Fore I come out there

Take your shoes off
At the door
Separate all your clothes
And put them in the hamper

When you finish,
Come downstairs
And I’ll fix your plate
But you better eat everything
Not just the steak

That means carrots, peas, and rice
Everything on your plate
Until you eat everything
There is no escape

We’ll be here all day,
If that’s what it takes
Makes no diff’rence to me
But what about videogames,
Your computer, and T.V.

Because you only get an hour
Then it’s off to bed
If you try to sneak away
I will, have your head

Cause you know how you are
Especially in the morning
Sleepin’ in class
When you supposed to be learning

Speaking of school,
Your teacher called
She said, you have something to give me
And don’t lie about it, Jimmy
I heard the grade already

That’s why you’re not goin’ out tomorrow
You’re staying in to study
I don’t care bout all that pleadin’
From ya little buddies

You gone be in here
All day
Until you get these problems right
You can not afford
To fall behind

If you start that whining
My belt gone be a walking
So get it together
I bet not hear no back-talkin’

Jimmy,
I don’t want to hear your mouth
The street lights are on
Get yo butt in the house

Get In Line

Sinister minister!
Wait just a minute sir!
If it’s sin I administer,
Upon then whom do I answer?
Who then is the voice of reason?
Woven between the choices believed in
Go be the vagabond breeze
To please the windy whispers
She sees the truth
It’s absolution from down upon her knees
She prays to thee
For a side step of salvation
In the name of creation
Seek not sanctuary
But loss and its return
Through the loss of face and name
Of course falls both shame and blame
Upon all who shed remorse, gain curse
Catch the light
Stand and fight
Redeem all wrongs with right
New life and sharp eyes
Immunize hurt and euthanize my youthful lies
Yet inspire thee in chant
Forge forward thy rant
I wish to roam
Though foolish I am bound
Soul searching a lost collection of freedoms
Bring forth the magician
Let shine the one I hide
Peace, please be this season
Peace, please be believed in
Yes, she is to be mine
I seek not sex as prize
It holds no surprise
I know how it starts
Then divides, ends and rips apart
It cannot choose my friends
Nor secure my brethren
A blank mind is so noisy
You hear again and again
You have NO idea
So you better then
Buy into my theories
At least then
You will KNOW an idea!

Free Cee Please Do Not Get In That Star

PLEASE DON'T GET IN THAT STAR

Every day I look at the first morning star
and how I begged you not to board that car
he was too drunk and could hardly see the view
and that's robbed me of you

too many drugs and a drink or two
so just before the break of blue
I gaze above to see that star that haunts me so
and hate the night that you had to go

“don't go” I pleaded with you to stay
but for some reason you had to speed away
and so I prayed that eve of sorrow
that you would still be here tomorrow

but my prayer went for naught and unheard
the universe ignored my every word
and so you climbed into that car
and now I weep whenever I see that early morning star

The Clouds Get In My Way

Today the sun rises like any other day,
Help shall arrive within the words you say.
Everything vanishes and changes to gray.

Clear skies change as shadows appear.
Living in shadows can fill you with fear.
Only one hand on the wheel to steer,
Until you feel like the end is quite near.
Doubt arises, as through the clouds I peer,
Shadows encompass all that I once held dear.

Going full circle I’m back at the start.
Everything’s changes as the clouds part,
Tired today, from having this broken heart.

Into the future everything goes,
Nothing to lose and nobody knows.

My conscious is starting to hurt a little,
Yesterday’s gone and I’m stuck in the middle.

When the clouds part I see the sun again.
Always in my thoughts, you seem like a friend.
You have become that bird that can fly in the end.

Do Not Let Me Get In the Way

Suffering, depth, no gain, it rains
I stand above his grave
Oh, God do not let me get in the way

The tide is high and coming this way
My strength is null, my sight is vague
Oh, God do not let me get in the way

My troubled heart is not in vain
I cannot carry on this gray
Oh, God do not let me get in the way

Prayers unanswered I must say
I feel as if I have been lead astray
Oh, God do not let me get in the way

Tears, fears, heavy they weigh
I have borrowed time to stay
Oh, God do not let me get in the way

Holy Spirit, help me see the light of day
You were not there when I needed, you strayed
Oh, God do not let me get in the way

Bring me back into your arms, there is less to weigh
Faith is null, it has gone array
Oh, God do not let me get in the way

Broken apart, I feel betrayed
Only you can heal me to this day
Oh, God not let me get in the way

Get In the Box

.

              *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *     *

              * The POETRY RULES BOX *

              *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *      *     *

              * When poets jump into the poetic forms box, poetry will glow. *

              * Whether writing senryu, clerihew, sonnets or haiku, skills show. *

              * So, I try to follow rules of form during a poetic creativity flow. *

              * And I believe that with practice, my writing skills will grow! *

              * Even when composing free or blank verse, rules in my mind echo. *

              * Blank verse may not have rhyme, but rhythm is definitely aglow. *

              * ~ If there is no rhythm, the poem is a written schism. ~ *

              * Free verse, on the other hand, is where beat and rhyme find zero. *

              * Is there more in the poetry rules box? I say, “Yes,” good fellow. *

              * Besides forms rules, there are conventions of grammar to follow. *

              * I use spell check and grammar check to remove error’s sorrow *

              *      *      *      *      *      *      *       *      *      *      *      *      *      *

              * The POETRY RULES BOX *

              *      *      *      *      *      *      *       *      *      *      *      *      *      *

This Shape poem, written with mono-rhyme

is dedicated to Constance ~ A Rambling Poet~

She loves the rules, as do I.
