The Clouds Get In My Way
Today the sun rises like any other day,
Help shall arrive within the words you say.
Everything vanishes and changes to gray.
Clear skies change as shadows appear.
Living in shadows can fill you with fear.
Only one hand on the wheel to steer,
Until you feel like the end is quite near.
Doubt arises, as through the clouds I peer,
Shadows encompass all that I once held dear.
Going full circle I’m back at the start.
Everything’s changes as the clouds part,
Tired today, from having this broken heart.
Into the future everything goes,
Nothing to lose and nobody knows.
My conscious is starting to hurt a little,
Yesterday’s gone and I’m stuck in the middle.
When the clouds part I see the sun again.
Always in my thoughts, you seem like a friend.
You have become that bird that can fly in the end.
