Best Generalised Poems

Premium Member RESPECT, KINDNESS AND CHOICE-POTD

Before you read my poem below please know:
This poem is generalised and not aimed at any individual
It is solely my observation and voice!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Why must it be analysed and dissected
To whether  a poet comments or not
We all do what we choose to do
We are a mixed bunch in this poetry pot
Some poets just like to write and read poetry
They are not interested in anything more
That is entirely their right and prerogative
That is what they are here for
Others like the social interaction
Making connections and poet friends
What you give, what you get here
On you it solely depends
Who we are …our wants and needs
Is our own personal choice
There are no set of commenting rules
No do’s or don’ts….no dictating voice
What another poet chooses to do
Is nobody else’s concern
As long every poet is respectful
Respect will be returned
Comment or not, turn comments off, or even block
Just do what ‘YOU’ want to do
Never feel pressured to do anything less
“To thyself you must be true”
There are an abundance of poets here
Who thrive on interaction and chat
They comment, encourage, support ,connect
Poets aplenty rich in socialising are here in fact
No judgement, criticism, negativity ,nor pressure should any poet face
Just a kind, caring and respectful environment on the whole
We are all unique and special individuals
Writing and enjoying poetry…..our united goal!
Premium Member Vibrations of heart - Blitz with Ink Empress
Can't stop flashbacks
Can't stop vibrations
Vibrations like echoes
Vibrations irritating wounds
Wounds that bleed
Wounds that torment
Torment the mind
Torment emotions
Emotions of guilt
Emotions full of anger
Anger from the past
Anger from shame
Shame that's distressing
Shame that's intrusive
Intrusive images haunt
Intrusive like storms
Storms striking like lightning
Storms louder than thunder
Thunder that's frightening
Thunder causing self-destruction
Self-destruction of the heart
Self-destruction of the mind
Mind acts recklessly
Mind reacts resentful
Resentful with regret
Resentful outbursts
Outbursts misunderstood
Outbursts they generalised
Generalised anxiety
Generalised questions
Questions of sanity
Questions of ability
Ability to stand
Ability to walk
Walk in fear
Walk through a hellish reality
Reality discarded
Reality unseen
Unseen persecution
Unseen war
War with life
War with time
Time is too intense
Time to surrender
Surrender to uncontrollable stuttering
Surrender to my misleading heart
Heart palpitations
Heart is numb flatline
Flatline
Palpitations...
He
Men cannot be trusted
emotionless and hardened,
They tend to be aggressive
Then thoughtlessly are pardoned.
Promiscuously driven
With ego swelling large,
They're loud, endowed and over proud
And in your life they'll barge!
They see vastly different
They see a girl- a prize,
Their honesty is always great
Until they just tell lies.
They'll blame you for everything
They'll treat you as a game,
They're really not so interesting
Predictable and lame.
Hence before you run away
To whatever you have lusted,
Take heed of what I say...
For men should not be trusted.
Now, I  could back this poem up
With proof of evidence,
As damages that most men do
Is astronomically immense.
Though I’m sure when they do read this
They’ll hate and much resent
The honesty and forthrightness
From a poetess unbent.
Yes we need to put them in their place
Before problems rise again
Wars and violence amongst our silence
All due to stupid men.
Though I wonder Joe and all that know
Andy and Big Randy
So I’ll admit just a bit
Men can be soooo handy !
And I’m fortunate to know
Good mans’ integrity
The ones who care a very rare
And voice this literally.
Though I’ve generalised and chastised
The ones not up to speed
I’ll be fair and I’ll share
Men…I know we need.
They’re great when they are good
Respectable and kind
They can be the bestest friends
And ease our worried mind.
Baby boys so wonderful
And innocence impart
Uplifting me, will always be
Forever in my heart.
The he whose not corrupted
It’s him I do commend
And loyal I will always be
To a good true friend.
How brothers I have missed you
Through the push and shove
And I am grateful never hateful
For platonic love…
Here here I’m not so sexist
Indifferent, a goner,
As I think of he who strengthens me
'tis he, I love and honour.
(Please Note: this poem is generalised and not about at any particular   individual)
It is so interesting how differently humans perceive each other
Our perceptions are often at complete opposite ends
I see someone to avoid and stay well away from
You see a potential friend
You see a good, kind and caring person
I see a performance to persuade
You see decent human qualities
I see an empty charade
You see honesty and truth
I see a deliberate ,deceptive twist
You see an admirable human
I see a narcissist
It is so interesting how differently humans perceive each other!
Reflecting
Are not humans so amazing uniquely on their own
Especially the modest who make themselves less shown
For others to pass by them so they can all be seen
Check out all those people and where have they all been?
Backstage they have their workers and working hard their core
Main stage we have the famous greedily for more,
Supporters who applaud them to boost their vanity
Interesting-people brings diversity.
Though we would not know the difference if each were etched the same
Guess the modest will come forward if it were not for the vain,
Impossible the difference whilst one mingles with so many
To see them all the same is immoral and uncanny !
We label and we group them by age, name, sex and race
Look them in the eyes and judge them by their face,
We see those ones that are well off and those that aren’t as rich
The in-between, the common seen, the criminal, that witch.
Family all one blood and friends are close and few
Perceiving everyone and the person that I knew
Consider educated and deem the others dim
Then there are the sinners and those who never sin?
Yet I have never even met you- the one unrecognised
Though heard so much about you then I generalised,
The stranger, the foreigner… peculiar to me
The shadow merging from before, the one whose yet to be.
Hence I am confronted by the missing puzzle piece
For the person I don’t know my thoughts will never cease,
As I gaze my own reflection with a different kind of view
The curtain falls upon the past and all I ever knew.
